I only have a decant, and on the first day I wore it, I received a compliment—what’s not to like? Extremely sweet and incredibly long-lasting. Its trail is enormous too. Simply divine!
It’s like a little piece of heaven in a beautiful bottle, awakening the feminine craving. A magnificent gourmand, nothing invasive, not too sweet, flat, or artificial. Delicious and super easy to wear. The projection and longevity are quite good. It draws people in, giving the impression that you radiate natural sweetness, not because of the perfume. Highly recommended, an absolute must-have.
What delicious boozy chocolate I smell here; the note is extremely natural, it’s like being inside a very fine chocolate shop. In Gourmand Coquin you perceive a dark chocolate, nothing creamy, boozy, with a soft vanilla and a very back-of-the-mind pink pepper. I promise the chocolate smell is a delight, I’m madly tempted to go out right now to buy chocolate to calm the craving it has awakened. Ten minutes have passed and I start to smell the rose, which I thought wouldn’t appear on my skin. This perfume is wonderfully beautiful; one of the best things about smelling a perfume is perceiving its notes so naturally that it seems you don’t just smell them, but taste and touch them. Gourmand Coquin is lovely, very gourmand, but its sweet touch is very soft, very subtle. It seems perfect for cold days or a date; surely when they smell like this they’ll want to take a bite of us.
What delicious alcoholic chocolate I smell here; the note is so natural, as if I were inside a fine chocolate shop. In Coquin Gourmand, there’s a dark chocolate, nothing creamy but rather alcoholic, with soft vanilla and a hint of pink pepper at the back. I promise the chocolate scent is delightful; it makes me desperately want to go out and buy chocolate to calm the craving it has awakened. After ten minutes, I start to smell the rose, which I thought wouldn’t come out on my skin. This perfume is wonderfully beautiful; one of the best things is perceiving its notes so naturally that they seem not just to be smelled, but savoured and touched. Coquin Gourmand is exquisite, very gourmand but with a very soft, subtle sweet touch. It seems perfect for cold days or a date; surely, smelling like this, they’ll want to take a bite.
I had this perfume so idolised… it was my personal unicorn!!! The perfume I was dying to try… well, I didn’t like it too much. It has something in its opening that I don’t like; I think it’s the mix of spices and rum. As the minutes pass, it gets better… that dark chocolate of very good quality appears, a fine chocolate. A chocolateed rose stands out, soft with a very subtle and vanilla-sweetness. However, I don’t perceive the pepper. I think if you are a lover of chocolate and rose perfumes, this could be your perfume. For now, I’m not going to buy it. I understand those who love it because it is of exceptional quality, but it hasn’t conquered me.

This one is going to flop this year, if not sooner. I received a sample with another purchase and my goodness: so natural, feminine, sweet, coquettish… You don’t expect that final combination until the initial sting disappears (which apparently my unsophisticated nose never quite fits). I explain it badly, but it’s a perfume worth considering. To understand it, just read VainillaDulce, Lito, etc. Delicious.
Edit: Those who have a mouth are wrong. After trying it on its own, I have to swallow my words. I still think I don’t like the opening, but the dry-down is so incredibly good it has won me over. It’s like meeting someone you’re not passionate about at first but who conquers you when you talk to them. I had such high expectations that smelling it wasn’t as I expected… but one has to recognise it’s a proper perfume bomb. The most elegant and refined cocoa perfume I’ve tried. I’ll have to save up to get it, haha.
An elaborated and high-quality gourmand perfume, highlighting the vanilla and chocolate accords. It has a slight ‘drunk’ rum note and something ‘spicy-peppery’ of pink pepper. It gives a sweet and enigmatic air, as the Guerlain girls said. It’s not an exaggerated gourmand that smells of real food, but an artistic representation of the notes, especially vanilla and chocolate. The performance is excellent, outstanding, like other heavier Guerlain offers I’ve tried (Tonka Imperial and Spiriteuse Double Vanille). It has red wine and vanilla; simply one of the best gourmand perfumes I’ve tried.
My little treasure within my collection. And I don’t say that just because of its price (which is also tempting 🥵), but because of its wonderful aroma. Gourmand Coquin has a striking opening with sugared black chocolate, spiced, and well-marked rum. After a few minutes, the magic begins. I find it hard to perceive the rum again in its dry-down; I think it’s not as evident as at first. The heart is an intense milk chocolate, Valor-style, with soft spices (certainly cinnamon, perhaps a barely perceptible pepper), slightly powdery—not dusty, but with an aroma that leaves a smoky result from its tea note. I suppose it’s the vanilla that makes me think of milk chocolate rather than black, so this also has a major role on my skin. It seems simple, and my nose felt it wasn’t original the first time I tried it. However, I haven’t smelled anything similar. I think that’s its magic; it’s a friendly scent, to many people’s taste (more feminine, I’d say, but who cares), and above all, different: no dupes or clones. Choco Musk by Al Rehab may have an air of Gourmand Coquin due to that elegantly powdery character of a vanilla-infused chocolate, but the latter is quite sweeter and, from my point of view, has more nuances. If you try hard to find them, you might start to smell the rose, which makes it even more sophisticated. And yes, indeed, Gourmand Coquin is surprisingly sophisticated. I consider it sensual (more sensual than sexy), romantic, appetising—the perfume I would wear at Christmas to dine with my partner and their family if I had them (including in-laws to make a good impression 🙃), because besides being made for cold weather without a doubt, it also has a cosy point… and, of course, tender, charming. In this, it differs radically from Choco Musk. Chocolate Greedy by Montale is not even comparable to GC, as, although its opening pleases me as an edible powdered chocolate, pleasant and very informal… its dry-down on me is horrible, almost vomit-inducing. Nevertheless, Montale lacks the sophistication of Guerlain’s. As for its trail, it is moderate, noticeable but not invasive at all. I wouldn’t mind if it were wider, although that also forms part of the perfume’s elegance. Its longevity is what decided me to buy it. Quite better than its projection; on my skin, it can last more than eight hours. Its presentation seems simply perfect. Care down to the smallest detail; the bottle is sober, refined, with height, and I even find it amusing that the name is on the side. I imagine carrying it on a young-spirited girl, elegant, with an attractive personality and very interesting tastes, slightly shy, cheerful, educated, and at the same time, characterful. In short, Gourmand Coquin is a masterpiece by the French house, a complex fragrance for an easy blind buy (I would more recommend trying it first due to its high price). I adore it! P.S.: In Madrid, you can find it at El Corte Inglés on Serrano and Castellana, only in 75 ml format 😉
My little treasure in my collection. I’m not saying this because of the price (which is also tempting 🥵), but because of its wonderful aroma. Gourmand Coquin comes out strident: sugary black chocolate, spiced, with a well-marked rum. After a few minutes the magic begins. In the dry-down the rum is hard to perceive; I don’t think it’s as evident as at first. The heart is an intense milk chocolate, in the style of Valor, with soft spices (certainly cinnamon, perhaps pepper, though not much), slightly powdery, not dusty, more with the smoky aroma of tea. I suppose the vanilla makes me see it as milk chocolate rather than black, so it has great prominence. It seems simple and at first I thought it wasn’t original, but I haven’t heard anything similar. That’s its magic: a friendly scent, for many tastes (more feminine I’d say, but who cares), and above all distinct: no dupes or clones. Choco Musk from Al Rehab has an air of that powdery and vanilla character, but this is sweeter and has more nuances. If you try, you can smell the rose, which makes it more sophisticated. A bit disappointed. It’s a favourite of a friend and I asked for a sample from another. I expected a gourmand bomb, but on my skin the black chocolate, cocoa and vanilla predominate, without being sweet. I see it as a spiced oriental scent with sweet touches, not a bomb. The trail is extremely low; I have to press my nose to my wrist to remember I’ve put on perfume. The longevity is good, about 5 hours, but for the price it had before being discontinued, it’s not worth it. Lately, chocolate perfumes have been disappointing me.
It’s a unisex scent where the chocolate smells super natural, nothing artificial. It has a sweet rum note but without overdoing it. It’s a lovely perfume to wear, without being excessively strong.
Not for me. It doesn’t sound elegant or pleasant to me. The cocoa smells of nothing, neither sweet nor deep, and after a few hours it reminds me of Zoologist’s Moth, a bit musty and old-fashioned.
Smells like a chocolate cake that’s had a couple of drinks and started dancing in zigzags. It’s so real it actually made me hungry.
