Descripción
French Kiss by Guerlain is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2014, this signature composition by Olivier Polge unfolds with the freshness of raspberry and lychee in its top notes. The floral heart is built around violet and rose, while the base offers a warm and enveloping sequence of heliotrope, vanilla, iris root, and white musk.

I can assure you that French Kiss is one of the most feminine fragrances in my collection. It is a delicate blend of raspberry, lychee, and rose/violet, a perfect combination where neither flower dominates; both are in harmony. The base is pure Guerlain essence: powdery and vanilla-scented. It is not as gourmand as some say, nor does it smell like lipstick, but it is lovely! The only drawback is that, on my skin, the longevity and projection are poor, and at this price, it loses points. French Kiss is just another luxury treat.
This fragrance arrives with fresh, juicy lychee accompanied by a bouquet of violets, evoking the sweet memory of raspberry candies you dare to bite into as a child until none are left. That sensation of juicy lychee, violets, and heliotrope on my skin lasts only two hours. To my surprise, after that time, the dry-down is identical to Hard Candy by Hard Candy; it feels like a tasteless joke. Unfortunately, Guerlain is letting me down, as an exclusive line should smell better than a much cheaper perfume. Sillage: Moderate. Longevity: Over 6 hours.
I arrived at French Kiss with high hopes and it exceeded my expectations. It opens with slightly acidic fruits, with raspberry standing out over lychee. Two minutes in, violet makes its presence felt with a powdery touch, followed by heliotrope blending seamlessly with it, then vanilla. I only detect those notes: raspberry, violet, heliotrope, lychee, and vanilla. It is the best fruity floral I know. Yes, it is pricey, but the quality and majesty of its notes are worth every euro. Some perfumes are worth it for the name, others for their essence; French Kiss is pure quality. It is elegant, feminine, vibrant, and not just another floral—it is French Kiss. Sillage and longevity are moderate.
Of all the Guerlains I least expected, this is the one that has truly caught me. It opens with a rich, tart raspberry and a sweet violet, perfectly balanced. Then heliotrope and iris root take over, joined by vanilla, giving it that subtle, old lipstick touch. It’s gorgeous, feminine, and perfect for spring. The only drawback is it doesn’t last as long as its price suggests, but it’s worth every penny; I think it’s the brand’s winning horse and I’ll definitely be buying it again.
