  I’m surprised to be the first to review this Rasasi; it’s an excellent perfume. A classic, dense, and pleasant oriental. From the start, the rose and saffron are noticeable, alongside the creaminess of sandalwood and honey, creating a fruity sensation like mango, peach, or ripe pineapple. The quality is high: nothing like sunscreen or piña colada; rather, a natural ripe pineapple with a spicy, acidic touch over a bed of creamy rose and saffron, but nothing milky (unlike Royal Blends). The evolution is gentle; the florals fade gradually as a clean musk takes centre stage. The oud (clean, non-animal) is merely a whisper, blending with the sandalwood and hard to distinguish. I’m surprised they list bergamot as I can’t detect it. The quality is surprising for €22/50ml. It suits both men and women, but it’s brilliant as a contrast for masculine looks.

  Ideal for diving into oriental fragrances without the risk, featuring an attractive aroma with intriguing nuances. Rose and saffron, with a typical camphoraceous touch of the genre, blend with ripe citrus and honey. The base is musky and creamy thanks to the sandalwood. The oud isn’t complicated, providing a lasting woody backdrop. It’s enjoyable all day and more. Not overpowering, but noticeable. Suitable for all seasons except extreme heat. A wonder that smells far more expensive than it costs.

  A complex scent not for everyone; it takes a bit of getting used to. At first, it’s overwhelming and even slightly irritating, but then a lovely note emerges to whisper, ‘calm down, you’ll like this.’ And it’s true. Sweet yet dry, reminiscent of L’Envol by Cartier but far more subtle.
