Kashaf is a woody gem from Ajmal, an absolute steal that I didn’t expect to be this good. The opening is a fruity wood explosion with a lovely animalic touch, a sweet and wild addictive contrast. Almost immediately, the woody notes settle into the background, giving way to a red fruit scent with pinkish nuances, a concoction that I can’t stop sniffing. Then, the woods take centre stage: an incredible fusion of oud and sandalwood, dry and woody with subtle notes of fruity rose and a delicious smoky halo. In dry-down, only musk and sandalwood remain, with the final echoes of that previous sweetness, a dry yet friendly scent. It has surprised and delighted me. Performance is good, lasting around 7 to 8 hours on skin with a strong trail for the first hour and then moderate. It’s a cold, evening fragrance, but so beautiful I wear it at any time. Unisex, with a slight masculine lean. Highly recommended for its ridiculous price if you like sweet woods.
