Share what you noticed: opening, drydown, sillage and the moments when it works for you.
Picked this up in January 2024 and, although I’ve worn it only a few times, I’m finding myself drawn to it more with each use. It smells like an untamed Arabian horse: opens with saffron, leather and cumin over wood, reminiscent of a Sheikh’s sweaty saddle. After twenty minutes it balances beautifully with clove, resins and jasmine, becoming brighter. The finish is faintly sweet, woody yet with that oud and leather creating a perfect symbiosis, unforgettable and addictive. It’s oriental, woody and animalic without being dirty, truly captivating. Ideal for cool nights or going out; if you ask what you’re wearing, people will definitely look at you strangely. For those over thirty, formal or semi-formal occasions only, not for novices. On my skin it lasts eight hours: trail and projection are marked in the first hour, then it sits closer to the skin. Scent: 9.5/10, Trail: 8.5/10, Projection: 8.5/10, Longevity: 8/10. What a beautiful perfume. It comes out with green, floral nuances and a hint of spice. It’s intense yet subtle at the same time. It lasts as long as all the brand’s fragrances, but without being as overwhelming as some of theirs, especially compared to the Oud Aquilaria. I believe it is the most balanced Oud Luxury of them all, one of the most complex and seductive. Simply wonderful.
Be careful, do not buy it blindly. I developed an allergy after testing a sample.
A masterful interpretation of leather/oud with rose in an Arab/oriental style. At the start, clear notes of animal leather, oriental oud and cumin give it a sensual touch. Then the magic appears: the musk calms those notes alongside the rose and a soft floral touch that soothes everything. The scent becomes very distinctive and exudes quality. It has a great trail and enormous longevity. I would not recommend it to those who dislike oud, but I have received good feedback. It is certainly of great elegance.
A very well-balanced oriental, a rich scent where, despite notes that might scare (cumin, oud, leather, clove), it achieves something perfectly unisex, very wearable and enjoyable. It is my favourite from Oud Luxury.
