Zafar by Omanluxury is an oriental woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this composition is signed by perfumer Pierre-Constantin Guéros. In its top notes, the scent unfolds a vibrant combination of rose, apple, bergamot, grapefruit and pink pepper. The heart reveals a spiritual and floral elegance thanks to frankincense, orange blossom, jasmine, cinnamon, iris root and valley lily. To close, the base notes offer a warm and persistent foundation with oud wood, musk, amber, vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli, moss, vetiver and tonka bean.

I tried a decant and was impressed: a very delicious scent with a huge trail. Excellent quality, it’s a real stunner that lasts for days on clothes. Delicious and, in my opinion, unisex and feminine.
It’s a love-hate relationship, in short, it’s not an easy scent. The opening is challenging, a heavy oud that you can feel but isn’t overpowering; it accompanies you throughout the development but doesn’t generate compliments. I don’t recommend blind-buying it; try a decant first.
I use it more and more. It’s a pleasant, wearable oud, sweet with floral and creamy notes without being cloying, sometimes velvety. Oman Luxury’s blend is top-notch. It performs well, isn’t overwhelming or annoying indoors; it’s noticeable but subtle, without shouting. That’s a relief, as sometimes these scents scare off the uninitiated. Surprisingly, it’s now one of my favourites for the office. When it fades, it leaves a soft, delicate trail on the skin, wonderful.
