  This perfume has disappointed me. Fragrantica claims it lasts over 12 hours, but on my skin it barely lasts 6 or 7 hours at most. I like the scent, though I don’t love it, and I was expecting much more, to be honest. Longevity: 6.5. Sillage: 7. Scent: 7. Value: 6.5. Overall score: 6.5. I hope it lasts longer for those who buy it than it did for me, as I was guided by reviews from another forum.

  It’s one of Montale’s least dazzling jewels, overshadowed by Wild Aoud and Blue Amber. It smells too much of a factory; I know even niche houses use synthetics, but this one creaks. What stands out most is the saffron, that precious and unusual note usually kept hidden. It has a bitter, spicy touch that gives it an oriental air, but being so synthetic, its true essence isn’t appreciated. It’s like saying ‘to each their own’, but for me, it’s dispensable: it offers nothing interesting. Amouage does that note far better. I think it’s more suited to fresh or cold days. The longevity, projection, and trail, typical of Montale, are moderate and don’t stand out.
