At first, I didn’t take to it; it smelled like a lady’s perfume. But once it matured, what a gem! It smells good, not the very best, but certainly a pleasant scent. If you like sweet things, buy it; if not, forget it. 100% unisex.
Absolutely dreadful. Period. It smells of banana, like chuchis or very overripe, almost rotten. It’s super sweet in the worst possible way. Smell this and you’ll get diabetes.
I tried it with a sample: it smells nice, warm and sweet, but don’t expect a unique masterpiece or something no one else has ever smelled. They say it’s similar to Babycat or Rosendo Mateu, but no, they just share ingredients. On the plus side, it lasts long on the skin, though the trail is light. It’s intimate, not a bomb, but I like it. I’d buy it for home use, like on the sofa, with a blanket and a film. It gives warmth and well-being, ideal for cold days. In the end, the cocoa is peculiar but dries down to vanilla with soft spice notes.
A good fragrance for notably cold weather.
Ever since I heard Mancera was releasing this, due to my love for vanillas with woods, I bought the set and counted the days with excitement, hoping for a crush. I feel I must disappoint you: it smells good, but nothing niche. If you told me it was a department store vanilla at €30 for 100ml, I’d believe it. I’m a fan of dark vanillas with wood, tobacco, incense, resins or spices like Oud Vanille or Montale’s Dark Vanilla. This feels like a ‘want but can’t have’. It feels like Mancera tried to rush this at all costs but failed to achieve personality or roundness, as if they hurried the perfumer and settled for something half-baked. Normally I only review what I like, but I’m posting this to warn: try it before buying blindly.
