One of my top Montales. Sweet but not overpowering, incredibly enveloping and cosy. Very lovely, simple and addictive. I’m finishing the second bottle and the third is already on its way.

It smells like maternity cream or baby product to me – a very pleasant feminine musk. The notes are well integrated, with none dominating, though the bergamot is the least perceptible, giving just the right fresh touch to the sugary blend. Not for everyone; if you like sweet, vanilla-musk scents, this is yours. The vanilla is gorgeous, lasting over six hours and even longer on clothes. The projection is contained, nothing aggressive like Arabian Tonka.

I’ve worn it for four days and it’s linear, with no evolution. What stands out is that sweet musk with honey, date, sugar, vanilla and tonka, but it doesn’t speak to me and I struggle to pick out the nuances; the sweetness is just very forward. After an hour, it sits close to the skin – something that envelops but feels flat. Perhaps it will develop with time, but for now it doesn’t meet my expectations. I find it hard to identify other notes; it comes across as very simple. However, on its own, I’ve discovered it works brilliantly for layering. I wore it under Montale’s Intense Roses Musk and it enhanced it beautifully, or with Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine it added another dimension. It pairs very well with fruity florals. P.S.: For layering, apply Arabian Musk first as a base, then the scent you want to boost. If it works for you and you can smell everything, congratulations!
