The name of the 125th Anniversary Victorinox is brilliant; I think it’s one of the longest. I spotted it at Ross in the US and was drawn to the name and the price of $9.99 for 3.4 ounces. A bargain buy, because cheap perfumes that smell good are rare. It smells of soft chocolate with hay, which to me is earth, dust, and dried plants. It also has citrus notes like lemon or orange. Ideal for daytime. Lasts 4 to 7 hours. It stings a bit at first, but then softens. The trail is moderate and not annoying. Reminds me of Givenchy’s Very Irresistible.
I followed Fragrantica reviews and bought it blind, but it’s not a gem. The projection is very weak and the scent is ‘nice’, as a friend put it, but it doesn’t stand out. Better to seek other spicy woody fragrances if you want something with more punch.
I tried it but didn’t take it home. It smells of freshly cut hay and strong spices. It reminds me of Burberry Mr, which is exactly what I’m trying to avoid since I want unique scents. It’s interesting and lasts half a day, but if you’re looking for something less common, look elsewhere.
The 125th Anniversary Victorinox smells of fresh grass with spices, very different from the usual fresh scents. It has character and smells like a serious man. It’s a pity more people don’t know about it; it blends sweet, herbal, and citrus notes with warmth. It smells expensive, well-made, and draws compliments. It has nothing to do with Davidoff or Tommy. Pure originality. Rating 8, lasts 6 hours, recommended.
Forget the famous brands, this smells great and the price is ridiculous. My uncle gifted it to me years ago and I still remember it. If you’re short on cash but want something decent, this is your option. It’s not world-changing magic, but it won’t embarrass you.
