Smells super citrusy; the orange is very potent. Ideal for summer, day or night, as it has a sweet but subtle touch, perfect for a hot evening. Nothing particularly innovative, it smells very similar to Creed’s Silver Mountain Water.
DO NOT BUY IT. It has a simple air freshener smell mixed with the scent of car seat leather. I would never feel comfortable wearing something like that.
A very simple citrus perfume, with no longevity, no projection, no soul, similar to other cheaper citrus scents, with an ENORMOUS price that is NOT justified by the misery it offers. If you’re interested, try it first. For me it’s a fraud, its price is based solely on the fame of the luxury brand distributing them. An absolute NO for me.
I like it, I like it a lot. For me it’s much more than simple oranges and bergamots. It has a very complex and rich base at the bottom, made of amber, modern molecules and components that trap the orange scent. It doesn’t seem to me at all a simple cologne. It may have a cologne air, but with many more things in its composition, making it smell like a very sexy, elegant and modern perfume. A great magnet for compliments. Its price? I think 300€ per bottle is madness. Even if it were Oud or vanilla absolute, the price is too high. But we’re talking high fashion and luxury, one has to accept it. I disagree with opinions on its simplicity and performance, but every nose is a world and there are a thousand factors. Miao😊
I love it. To me, it is so much more than simple oranges and bergamot; it has a complex, rich base with amber, modern molecules, and components that retain the mandarin scent. It is not a simple cologne; it smells like a sexy, elegant, and modern perfume, a magnet for compliments. The price of €300 is madness, even if it were oud or vanilla, but with haute couture, one has to accept it. I disagree with those who say it is simple or doesn’t last; every nose is a different world.
Well, it is indeed very expensive, no need to sugarcoat it. I resisted buying it because I refused to spend such a fortune on a perfume that only smells of citrus… But what citrus… What well-made it is… The charm doesn’t lie in complexity. The wonderful thing is the naturalness it exudes and how well it fits for layering (although I’m not a regular, only do it with this). Special mention for anyone who has and can try these two: Gucci Mémoire d’une odeur and Loewe Paula’s Ibiza. With both, it works fantastically putting 3 or 4 sprays on top. Longevity isn’t bad for a citrus. Projects well for the first two hours and then fades until it’s skin-scent for another three or four. Whether it’s worth it depends on each person. I bought it on discount at the start of summer after concluding I had perfumes over 100€ that I didn’t like half as much as this. P.S.: it has more nuances than it seems.
It’s in my top 3 heat perfumes. For everyday wear, when it’s not a very elegant occasion, it’s the best. •SCENT: Simple but incredible. Sometimes less is more; the quality is unmatched, smells like orange and bergamot up front, totally realistic, with that sharp touch of ginger. I read it smells like car air freshener, couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s a citrus scent, clean and sexy. •LONGEVITY: Average, not bad for a citrus, 5-6 hours. •PROJECTION: Projects well for 1h30, then stays in a personal bubble. I reapply at the third hour and it always holds. •PRICE: It’s pricey, but worth it. The good thing is there’s a refill in store at nearly half price.
If they tell me it’s a 70 euro perfume, I’d believe them: soulless citrus, as if they’d thrown a bucket of citrus into a pool and hours later scooped up the water. The ginger is barely noticeable. I also don’t find it refreshing. Mandarine Basilic by Guerlain is more affordable, revitalising, with sharp and realistic citrus notes.
Smells fantastic! Fresh yet with personality, as its name suggests: perfect for an afternoon in summer after a swim in the sea.
Smells great! Fresh yet with personality, as its name suggests, ideal for a summer afternoon after swimming in the sea.
The scent is a 10/10, better than Imagination and L’Immensité; it earns lots of compliments. However, I feel it’s gone by half an hour. If this perfume lasted as long as Imagination, it would be one of the best.
Orange, orange and more orange. It’s citrusy, slightly sweet and synthetic. If you like citrus, you’ll love it. As it dries down, the ginger becomes noticeable, giving it an extra kick. I see it as ideal for days when you’re feeling low, when you need a boost. It reminds me hugely of the first ‘Mandarine Duck’ fragrance from 2000, which smelled exactly the same and no longer exists, what a shame.
It’s like peeling an orange skin off instantly… puf! An explosion of zest with a hint of ginger giving it a lemony lift 🍋🟩. I absolutely adore it; it smells clean and refreshes the soul. The price is a steal (330$), but if you have the cash, buy it—it’s delicious. Lasts about 6 hours, better than other fresh LV scents. Update 15/Jan/2025: after two months, once it dries down properly, the scent changes; it’s no longer just orange, it has chemical notes that add strength and a watery touch, I think aquozone, like in Valentino Born in Roma or Light Blue Forever. It’s a delight, people ask me on the street what I’m wearing 💙
I like it, but there’s something stopping me from buying it… I detect certain undeclared notes. This has geranium; I perceive it from the start, and it intensifies as it dries when the fruity notes fade. That note can be easily confused or blended with mint (try d’Hubert from the Leau Revee collection by Sisley). I also believe it contains Calone, which gives it body and that aquatic or marine sensation. It’s definitely more than just tangerine and oranges; ginger is a tiny part of the total nuances. It’s quite complex; many say it’s just tangerine, try Mandarine Basilic and it may remind you of this, but in a very EMPTY way. I finished a 10ml decant and consider I didn’t use it but studied it; every time I wore it, I was bewildered. Regarding longevity, this doesn’t drop below five hours; for the first few days, try just one or two sprays as it causes olfactory fatigue. Add to that the strong projection in the first hour; it’s normal for the nose to become saturated.
Scent: 5/10 – tangerine, fresh and clean. Longevity: 0/10 – half an hour and byebye; 10-12 sprays. Sillage: 0/10 absolute rubbish.
I’m absolutely fascinated by it! … fresh, citrusy, long-lasting … I love it
Smells like detergent; don’t fall for the hype.
For those who claim Afternoon Swim smells like ‘yet another perfume’ or a car air freshener, they’ve likely tried a clone; this is the definitive summer scent. Imagine being near a pool with the sun beating down, so you decide to cut oranges to squeeze the juice… that blend of water and citrus is Afternoon Swim. It features very realistic orange and tangerine notes, with that poolside scent (not chlorine or salt), but a light aquatic effect that makes it summer’s best ally. It’s from LV and excessively pricey; many prefer cheaper options, but something about this perfume is addictive. The trail and longevity are controversial; many stop smelling it within the first two hours. For me, it lasts like an average citrus, around five hours, without over-applying the sprays.
A very rich perfume with a lovely aroma that I adore, but it doesn’t last long. Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth the price; if it cost less, I would definitely buy it.
Whatever people say about the longevity, this is THE DEFINITIVE SUMMER PERFUME. SMELL: Definitely the best from Louis Vuitton. To me, it smells of caramelised oranges; as it dries down, the caramel fades and gives way to lemon, a touch of amber, and the tangerine on its own. Out of hundreds of commercial or niche perfumes I’ve tried, none have pleased me as much or come close. If you want a unique scent that no one else wears, this is it. LONGEVITY: I recommend at least six sprays initially to achieve about three hours of good projection; afterwards, it lasts around three hours on skin. PROJECTION: With six sprays, it’s potent for 2–3 hours. In places hotter than 34°C, I use 10–12 sprays and it becomes a real projector, drawing compliments. PRICE: I got it for $240 USD at LV Chile; it’s worth every penny. Whatever the price, I’d buy it without hesitation. No perfume comes close. Don’t risk a dupe—quality comes at a price. Once you smell the original, there’s no going back. It’s the safest summer purchase. I only recommend it for hot weather; I used it in summer in Europe and the Dominican Republic. In places below 30°C, it doesn’t perform to its full potential.
In my opinion, it’s a lovely scent—nothing too overpowering, yet it has its own charm. It conjures images of a sunny afternoon by the pool. Projection, trail, and longevity are all good. A casual fragrance, perfect for a clear-sky day.
In my opinion, it is a good fragrance, nothing that turns your head, but it has its own charm. I imagine a sunny afternoon by the pool. Good projection, good trail, and good longevity. A fragrance for casual use, during the day under a clear sky.
I’ll be honest: I bought it for university and this summer, something fresh and rich. It smells like Silver Mountain Water by Creed when worn, very similar. I’d give it a 9.5/10; it’s perfect. The only drawback, aside from the price, is longevity on the skin: it fades quickly, lasting around four hours before disappearing, though with luck it reaches seven on clothes. Otherwise, it’s an excellent choice for this summer.
Orange peel, lemon juice and citrus notes. The opening is sharp and lingers for quite a while, which is unusual for a citrus. It smells hyper-realistic of peeling lemons, limes and oranges; I absolutely love it. Perfect for intense heat, unisex and easy to wear. 10/10. The price seems high, but I can’t see any house making a citrus this good and long-lasting at a more accessible price with this quality. Citrus peel, lemon juice and fresh citrus. Afternoon Swim has a special charm, ideal for heat. It smells wonderful above 28 degrees, perfect for the beach or post-gym. When you apply it, it transports you to the coast with a sea breeze and freshly squeezed orange, like childhood memories. The first two hours are citrusy and watery, clean and fresh like a sunny day. By the third or fourth hour, the projection drops, but an ambered tangerine note lingers nearby. In summary, it’s fresh and clean, ideal post-shower or for discreet refreshment, a silent luxury.
I went on holiday and had a few Aperols; it smells exactly the same, haha, absolutely delicious!
Without a doubt, the best summer perfume in the LV line; it smells like extremely expensive and luxurious sunscreen, ideal for the beach, pool, or late afternoon. Honestly, I HOPE it lasts more than an hour on the skin, I HOPE, because I wouldn’t buy it solely for the longevity, but the scent is exquisite, there’s no doubt about that.
DKNY Women is for those who value the brand more than the scent. What a clever move!
I tried it in Vegas at the end of October, with that fresh desert air; the scent was so incredible that I wanted my decant to stay glued to my nose all day. It was love at first sniff. On my skin, it lasted about three hours, but nothing fixes a few sprays of perfume. Fresh, citrusy, and fruity. 10/10.
Afternoon Swim by LV: simplicity can be fantastic. Everything stems from its name, ‘swimming in the afternoon,’ and in that sense, it’s perfect. It’s clean, fresh, crystal-clear, pleasant, and that pool-blue vibe. If fruits had days: banana is Monday (energetic), apple is Wednesday (juicy), and tangerine is Friday (holidays, sweet and cheerful). It achieves a refreshing combination of joy with a crystal-clean charm. It’s a simple but punchy statement of good taste. Yes, some might say it’s unsurprising, but one must consider what it truly is: a simple, fresh, and charming scent. It’s expensive, and projection and longevity aren’t its strong points, but the smell is. If you can afford the luxury, go for it; if not, there are budget-friendly options that will give you a very close idea at a more accessible price. Scent: 10/10. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: max 6 hours. Recommended.
The Achilles’ heel is definitely the longevity; it doesn’t even last an hour. But in those minutes, it smells incredibly rich, with high-quality materials and a very realistic orange note, like the juice my grandmother used to make me as a child. Some people detect cleaner or air freshener, but I love its very natural scent, ideal for heat or the beach. Given the high price and poor longevity, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you don’t mind reapplying. In cold weather, it feels more potent and sweet, very pleasant.
It smells very similar to Imagination to me, but this is far superior. The issue is the longevity; it vanishes quickly. At least Imagination has some body; here, once the citrus fades, you’re left with a faint ambroxan scent. It suffers the same fate as most LV fragrances: overpriced and synthetic. There’s nothing photorealistic about it. The reason for so many cheap knock-offs is that they use a cheap, synthetic base DNA.
It’s a beast. On my skin it lasts eight hours, and on clothes it stays fresh for a week easily. Absolutely brilliant.
Pure summer sunshine, youthful and citrusy without being a typical cologne. It has that natural fruit sweetness that reminds me of a Saturday afternoon straight out of the pool, perfect for sipping an orange juice that refreshes right down to the soul. Casual, breezy, yet not tropical; pure citrus. Scent: 10/10, Price: 5/10, Projection: 7/10, Longevity: 6/10.
