  Don’t be fooled by the supposed similarity to Ambre Nuit. There’s very little sweetness here, almost none. It features an opulent base oud with an acidic, dirty, and piercing amber that attacks relentlessly. Add a tangerine, a citrus with a character very similar to Terre d’Hermés, also sharp and acidic. Performance? Comparable to Creed’s Oud Zarian, an atomic bomb on your nose. I don’t know Pur Ambre, but this perfume shouldn’t fall too far behind.

  What a letdown with the name, but forget what the box says about heavy oud. This is pure spark: citrus, spices, and a superbly rich, warm amber. It’s very unisex, with a modern vibe, nothing like a heavy Arab scent. The oud and smoke are so subtle they’re barely noticeable, just adding depth. The best part is it lasts forever and projects just enough to be noticed without being annoying. Believe me, many people will love it. It’s a fantastic perfume, even if the marketing tells a different story.
