Finally tried it! It’s brilliant, one of the best commercial ouds I’ve ever smelled: dense yet balanced by the rose. It has a slightly dirty, petrol-like touch, but nothing animalic; perfect for cold weather with a leather jacket and an IDGAF attitude. It reminds me of James Bond on his nocturnal adventures. Top quality, though the price is high. It’s not a compliment perfume, but one of very distinguished taste.
I think this Ombre Nomade is madness. I chose it for my cousin’s wedding and barely arrived when I was receiving compliments; the groom was wearing it too and mentioned that he gets comments every time he uses it (he lives in England). If he chose it for the most important day of his life, it’s because it’s very good.
Ombre Nomade by LV is a tribute to lovers of luxury raw materials, from the aesthetes of the Near East to those who cherish exceptional fragrance. With an opening of raspberry, saffron and geranium, a heart of incense, oud and rose, and a base of benzoin, amber and smoked birch, it captures that irrational essence that made it so extraordinary.
I tried it on a 5ml decant I’d kept for years unused. It’s potent, dense and invasive, for mature people and moments of marked presence. The oud, saffron and incense stand out with a rose that softens it and a dark creamy leather. High projection that fills rooms, lasts 12 hours and is constant. It’s not my daily style; it feels too intense to me, although I recognise its quality and longevity. Ideal for autumn/winter if you’re looking for something distinctive. Rating: 5.5 (great quality but not for me).
The best perfume of all time, in capital letters, the best in my collection. It’s the scent that fascinates me and I hope it’s always there; mine is a beast. The only downside is that many people buy it just because it’s by LV without understanding niche perfumery, and every time I go out at night I smell it around here 😪. Still, I don’t hate it. I’d put it away, but I used it again last week: I sprayed it on my jacket, a week passed and it still smells, outdoing everyone else. I’m a woman and Arab, and I love that dark, sensual aroma. The notes I notice most are incense and oud, with a touch of sweetness from the saffron and a fruity hint of raspberry; the rose isn’t very prominent. QUE DECLIA. MAGIC IN A BOTTLE 🥰🥰
The best perfume that exists.
Oud Retador: what can I say, it’s very challenging. The oud has intense personality, here summarised in rose and woods with a super potent opening. If you want to stand out in a room, you achieve it, but watch out: it’s not necessarily for receiving compliments. The oud is for expert and brave noses, not for everyone. Although many call it ‘elegant’, I can’t see myself wearing it at special events. It’s a fragrance that puts you at the centre of attention because it’s strong and different, and not always for the right reasons. My rating: 5/10. Yes, it’s a friendlier oud than others, but I wouldn’t pay the price to be the focus of uncomfortable stares.
Mad how well this smells. You can tell when a fragrance of these characteristics is made with good taste.
A relative has it and it’s an essence that the moment he arrives, he makes himself noticed in the whole room. Woody and smoky with a touch of floral rose that’s very attractive. My favourite perfume without a doubt. I don’t know if it’s unisex; I’ve never worn it myself nor smelled it on any woman, but I suppose it will work well. There’s a lot of diversity of opinions and that I love; I adore that it’s not a perfume that everyone likes. That makes it very exclusive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
It’s a declaration to perfumery: I’m not saying you have to like it, but you have to know how to appreciate it. It’s dark, strong, warm and the definition of beast mode, with an enormous trail and more than 12 hours of longevity. It’s not easy to wear; its incense, oud and roses are potent but of the best quality. You have to be in the mood, because if you don’t feel confident it can be uncomfortable; it’s invasive (I don’t recommend more than 3 sprays). I’ve felt the best in cold weather, at night and at formal or semi-formal outdoor events. It’s my girlfriend’s favourite within my collection. It shouldn’t be bought blind, but it’s worth trying a decant. Its best performance comes at 30 minutes, because at the beginning the incense can be invasive. You’ll use it rarely, but it’s worth the price for the longevity and quality of the components. You’ll make yourself noticed, impossible not to turn and look at you.
Not for everyone; if you lack a refined sense of smell, it can sound like paint or old furniture. To me, it smells of smoky, dry agarwood with a sweet base that isn’t cloying. As it dries, the rose and raspberry take over without being feminine, but rather addictive, leading into warm amberwood. Just for cold nights.
To each their own. To me it smells of furniture polish, to my sister it smells of mosquito repellent, and to my nephew it smells of car oil. The only thing that united us is that the scent is almost eternal.
The raspberry finishes this rose and oud combo perfectly. It’s simply spectacular.
I think this is the best I’ve ever smelled. Many consider it an older person’s perfume, but that’s nonsense; the important thing is to dress well. I heard it in a school cafeteria in the USA, worn by an 11-year-old boy. The fragrance filled the place for hours and it’s huge.
A work of art. I sense a very similar air to Nuit de Feu and Nouveau Monde, almost siblings. It’s a sweet, ambered oud with elegant leather that envelops you. It smells of absolute luxury, like a private jet. Intense yet refined, ideal for marking territory and rubbing shoulders with the rich.

I was hugely surprised by the Ombre Nomade decant. I was completely smitten; nothing like the strike or burnt rubber comments. If it is, how beautiful!
It’s beautiful but on my skin it’s identical to Rasasi’s Hawas for Him, which costs less than a quarter of the price.
At first it smells like burnt incense, but on the skin it’s wow. It’s the best winter perfume, lasting over 12 hours on the skin and 15 on clothes. I give it 10/10.
I was lucky enough to try this fragrance and it meets expectations. The blend of oud, rose, raspberry, incense, and leather creates a dark, highly personal aroma. The quality is excellent, niche level. The performance is brutal: it projects and lasts a very long time, leaving a deep trail. The price is high, but so is the quality. It’s not my personal favourite, but I recommend it wholeheartedly for those seeking something intense and sophisticated.
This fragrance is pure rock and roll. Imagine Johnny Depp in an advert with his guitar; this is the scent that truly embodies that attitude. It is extremely masculine and wild. As a man, I love this fragrance, though only some women like it. I gave it to my girlfriend to try and she hated it. But for me, it is FASCINATING. It evokes power, luxury and savagery. It leans towards being heavy, so I would not recommend it for extreme heat, nor for enclosed spaces without air conditioning, nor for the gym. It is ideal for night events, formal or semi-formal occasions. It can also be worn informally if you want to evoke a rock and roll feeling with a leather jacket and looking well-dressed. Regarding the notes, its main one is Oud; it is not animalic, but it is strong. It also smells of petrol. It is a powerful, dry and hard aroma. BRUTAL. For me 11/10.
It smells odd but good; a blend of fine woods and class. If you want to look the part and have the money for it, this is yours, and yes, it is actually expensive.
As Angelard says, it smells horrible. A colleague used it at work and I kept asking what that smell was; he told me ‘Nomad Man’, to which I replied I should not get close because it smells bad, like an amber with lots of smoky incense, what a terrible thing. Imagination or L’Immensité are better; I prefer fresh and crisp fragrances.
You can only call it ‘Nomad’: a mix of Oud-like wood, leather and flowers that make you imagine someone on a horse or tending a campfire before sleep. The trail is brutal and lasts between 8 and 10 hours on my skin (it is winter and raining where I live). It is not for everyone, of course, but to be honest, the compliments outnumber those who dislike the scent.

What a good and different fragrance from everything I have tried. The notes are hard to break down: it says Oud but it is different, it says leather but it is creamy. Resins, spices and a smoky base. The rose is concentrated. There is no single spotlight, but the combination has its own light. Dark, resinous, spicy, smoky, with Oud and rose. It is not definitive, but I am very attracted to it. Ideal for formal nights and special occasions. Masculine and for cold weather. Performance is insane but it does not project as much. As always. On the downside, the price. What a pity I am not rich; I would have it.
I will only say it is not for everyone: it is invasive, classy and top quality. The person wearing it will sound like a millionaire. Recommended for niche fragrance fans.
Spectacular and unconventional; it always provokes impact, questions and compliments.
A very strong aroma; do not buy blindly. It is serious and for formal or special outdoor occasions. I used it at a wedding and it was excellent. Projection is good, not so much of an amber bomb due to the cold outdoor weather. Note: I took a decant to the wedding to avoid saturating the church and it broke at the end :/. My girlfriend is one of the few in my collection that she likes. OVERALL 9/10; in my opinion it lacked projection, but without a doubt it is one of the best on the market.
A light among dark perfumes. I do not understand the bad press they receive. A few days ago, at a work meeting, a 60-year-old man, elegant and well-dressed, presented himself as a potential investor. Everyone was listening to nothing and no one. I recognised the Oud and the leather. After agreeing on a deal, I asked him directly what perfume he was wearing. He said it was from Louis Vuitton, he did not remember the name or perhaps he did not want to tell me. I asked if it was a dark brown bottle and deduced it was Ombre Nomade. In Argentina, spring with 30 degrees, and believe me, this cold/winter perfume worked perfectly with the heat, without saturating, projecting and leaving an incredible trail. Here I separate the wheat from the chaff: a fresh perfume can be pleasant even without top ingredients. But a dark perfume with low-cost ingredients, like cheap Arab imitations, tends to be nose-breaking. That is the difference. It is not the same Ombre Nomade from LV as Jean Lowe Ombre/Noir from Maison Alahambra. There will always be a better world, but unfortunately it is more expensive.
