It smells of almonds to me, and I don’t think it’s worth paying that much for. It’s quite linear, with everything revolving around nuts and candied fruits.
Of all the Armani Privé fragrances I’ve tried, this is the least appealing. The quality is evident, which is logical given the price, but the scent simply doesn’t convince me. It feels monolithic: you smell the entire blend without distinguishing individual notes, and it’s incredibly linear, remaining the same from start to finish. It opens with bitter, natural almonds, slightly acidic, before sweetening a little. That’s it. I was left in shock; I expected a spiced, sweet, and earthy amber, but it’s nothing like that. It just smells of fresh, yet bitter, almonds. The longevity is good, lasting over nine hours, but the trail is short and moderate from the off. Be careful not to overdo it, as it becomes tiring due to its linearity; better suited for fresh, cool evenings. Although marketed as unisex, it leans slightly feminine for me, though not overtly. Very expensive and not recommended: there are better options available at this price point, even within the same collection.
Sells as a super vintage scent, reminiscent of the purple one by Elisabeth Taylor. On my skin, it dries down sticky, and since we’ve only just met, I’ll keep testing it out.
