  • In my opinion, labelling Power of You by Giorgio Armani as feminine is a mistake. The brand says it’s unisex, but on Fragrantica and in stores it’s still treated as feminine. In my view, it’s not feminine at all. It’s unisex, balanced, and well-constructed. The passion fruit opening is spectacular: fresh, juicy, and natural, without falling into artificiality. It’s one of the best fruity openings from a designer in years; blindfolded, it could pass for niche. As it dries down, it becomes creamy and enveloping, with delicate, elegant, and well-integrated vanilla—nothing cloying. It’s soft, clean, and pleasant, offering comfort without losing freshness. Overall, very well executed, modern, and with personality. Without a doubt, one of the best launches of the year, worthy of enjoyment without gender labels.

  • To me, labelling Armani’s Power of You as only feminine is a mistake. Although the brand markets it as unisex, many shops and websites still tag it for her, which does it no justice. It is truly unisex, very balanced and unbiased. The opening of passion fruit is spectacular: fresh, juicy and natural, far from anything artificial. It is one of the best fruity openings I have tried in designer perfumes, almost at niche level. As it dries down, it becomes creamy and enveloping, with a delicate, elegant vanilla that never becomes cloying. It is soft, clean and very pleasant, offering comfort without losing freshness. In short, it is very well made, modern and characterful. It is one of the best launches of the year and deserves to be enjoyed without gender labels.

  • A feminine, cheerful, and very chic fragrance. Highly recommended for spring and summer. I really liked it. Duration and sillage are moderate, which pleasantly surprised me.

  • Tested on blotter. Passion fruit, tropical, and vanilla. Although some men might want to wear it, to my nose it’s feminine. It deserves points for originality. It’s a perfume I’d love to smell on a woman.

👃 My impressions: ⏱️ Potent opening of passion fruit and orange, I love it! 🍊💥 ⏱️ After seven minutes the passion fruit intensifies; this perfume is brilliant 😍 ⏱️ After twenty-three minutes it starts to vanillaise, reminding me of a Solero ice cream, it’s spectacular! 🍦🔥 ⏱️ At one hour and six minutes the intense sweetness of the passion fruit continues 😋 ⏱️ At two twenty-two it smells like a mix of passion fruit, sweet peach and vanilla, a delight 🍑🍯 ⏱️ At nine hours it has left my skin 🕘 The projection and trail are medium, elegant but not invasive.

  • What a beauty; this truly has passion fruit, with a fresh citrus touch and a creamy vanilla that blend perfectly. I’ve worn it for hours and it keeps releasing waves. It makes me feel clean and fresh, yet wrapped in that creaminess. It’s a fruity vanilla perfume, nothing teenage, but with touches of labdanum and benzoin that make it mature.

It’s a tropical fragrance where the passion fruit really stands out on my skin. It’s not acidic or sparkly, but warm and enveloping thanks to the vanilla. The result is a sweet, pleasant fruity scent, ideal for spring and summer. Although the warmth makes me hesitate for very hot days, it’s easy to wear and lasted nine hours on my skin.

Smells fantastic, absolutely delicious, like passion fruit. It goes perfectly with the passion fruit spray and cream that Mercadona launched last summer.

  • That passion fruit opening? Good heavens, it’s the most realistic one I’ve ever smelled. It reminds me of the lemon in YSL’s Love in Again—vibrant and mood-lifting. Power of You has the flavour of the fruit, acidic and brash, dripping with juice. Very wearable for spring and summer; I think it’s one of Emporio Armani’s biggest hits.

  • I don’t understand why they categorise it as feminine. It’s 100% unisex. The opening is magnificent: super-realistic passion fruit, sweet, citrusy, and bright. It smells like pure addiction.

Powerful opening of passion fruit and orange, I’m obsessed! After seven minutes the passion fruit intensifies; it’s brilliant. After twenty-three minutes it starts to develop vanilla notes, smelling like Solero ice cream—spectacular. By the hour, the sweetness is intense. By two and a half hours, it’s a blend of passion fruit, sweet peach, and vanilla, a real treat. By nine hours it has faded from my skin. Projection and sillage are moderate; elegant without being intrusive.

  • I don’t understand why they categorise it as feminine; it is totally unisex. The opening is magnificent: a super realistic, sweet, citrus and bright passion fruit, an addictive scent to the point of rage.

What a delight! I tried eight perfumes today and this one won hands down. The passion fruit note is absolutely brilliant and natural, paired with frangipani and sunshine. When the vanilla kicks in, it smells like passion fruit ice cream—photorealistic. It’s potent and lasts three hours. I think it’s wearable all year round, though in the height of summer it might be a bit much. It’s fun, bold, and original; it will definitely end up in my collection.

  • I agree with a comment below: it smells like bifrutis. Nevertheless I don’t consider it entirely youthful, especially due to the ionic power it has. It has managed to change my opinion on tropical fruit aromas, so congratulations, I think it’s one of the best launches of the year, and that although it was launched in January…

  • Do you remember Dracula ice creams? To me it is exactly that, super delicious. It is power and a sweet that is too good. The other day I tried it on my skin and the next day I couldn’t help but buy it because of how addictive it is. I recommend trying it, but… will you be able to resist? Also, it seems quite different to typical sweet milky or pastry perfumes, which were already boring and seemed all the same. As for trail and projection, it is a bomb but totally adjustable according to the occasion, and the longevity is incredible; I have a shower and I can still feel that little sweetness.

  • Ampareau de parfum

I just smelled it in the shop and went straight to add it to my wishlist. It smells so natural, intense and at the same time soft, sweet but fresh… The passionfruit is appreciated as real and I noticed some note of other fruits. A sweet but soft base. For my taste it’s a summer fragrance, like having a fruit ice cream or granita, very refreshing, sweet, slightly acidic and fresh.

  • The truth is I think those men who say it’s unisex are because they want to convince themselves that they don’t like to wear women’s perfumes and that’s why they try to cover it up. It’s a very feminine perfume, I gave it to my girlfriend and she was fascinated, she wore it for an event and she felt quite feminine the atmosphere around her with that scent. If you are a woman and want something delicious, this is your perfume. As someone who has been smelling it regularly, it’s delicious.

  • cursedhazakura

Honestly it’s a scent that gives me a headache and makes my stomach churn. A very strong scent. I notice all those acidic notes and the vanilla base but it doesn’t work for me. It’s not a perfume I would wear. Too scandalous, I don’t think it’s a pretty scent.

  • I saw it in an advert and, being a fan of passion fruit, I couldn’t resist trying it in store. I fell in love at first sight. At first I thought about waiting to buy it as I had already spent a lot that month, so I went for a walk, ate peacefully and did some other errands… and smelling it on myself, it was wonderful. By the end of the day I couldn’t help but buy it; it wouldn’t leave my head and it makes me very happy. My favourite scents are passion fruit and vanilla, and it smells exactly like that.

  • Power Of You by Giorgio Armani. It was a blind buy and from the very first moment what I perceive is the passionfruit: a juicy and very luminous fruit that gives it lots of joy. It’s fun, sweet, but at the same time fresh, lively and very pleasant. All this rests on a warm vanilla base that gives it a very enveloping character. What I like most is the sensation: it’s cheerful, luminous, very feminine but comforting. Those that make you feel good and invite you to smell your skin constantly. On my skin the longevity is very good and leaves a sweet trail of passionfruit and vanilla that accompanies for hours. For me it has been a real gem among sweet fruity scents. If you like luminous perfumes with a soft gourmand touch, it’s worth it. 10/10.

  • Tropicoqueta has completely taken me by surprise: it’s a super-sweet tropical fruity scent. The passionfruit note is addictive, like a combo of ripe mango and passionfruit with a touch of acidity but without losing the sweetness, all sitting on a warm, creamy vanilla base. I absolutely love it. It’s suitable for any occasion, though it vibes more with spring-summer; I’d also wear it in winter. The longevity is monstrous; normally tropics fade quickly, but here Armani works magic. It doesn’t just smell good, it leaves a powerful trail that is noticeable. I wore it yesterday and can still smell it at the same time today. Power of You gives you a literal feeling of recharging. I’ll buy it as soon as I can. I’m not sure if it’s from the new You line (I’m fascinated by all of them, especially Because which I already own). A resounding yes.

  • I love it, super original, the femme-fatal of the tropics. It’s a pity it projects little, barely leaving a trail or no one has told me, and after 5-6 hours I don’t notice it on my skin or clothes… so in my case it’s expensive for the longevity it offers, although it smells delicious. If it had more projection it would be my number one. A similar one is the blue Venom from an Arab brand (elongated blue bottle with a golden snake). The Venom smells more like mango but goes in the same line and lasts pffff days, it can do the job, although for my taste it also seems more cloying and vulgar than Power of You.

  • It came up in an ad and as I’m a fanatic of passionfruit I couldn’t help but try it in a shop. I fell in love at once. At first I said I would wait because that month I had spent a lot, so I took a walk in the shop, went to eat quietly, did other errands… and I was still smelling, wonderfully. In the end of the day I couldn’t help but buy it, it wouldn’t leave my head, it makes me very happy. My favourite scents are passionfruit and vanilla and it smells exactly like that.

  • Lazarus Scent

They say it’s for women, but I’m buying it anyway. It’s a juicy and exquisite fragrance with its tropical touches that in cold air should feel sharp and super passionate. I love it!

  • Miireyaps

Do you remember Dracula’s ice creams? For me it’s totally that, super delicious. It’s power and a sweetness that is too delicious. The other day I tried it in hand and the next day I couldn’t help but buy it because of how addictive it is. I recommend trying it, but… will you be able to resist? It seems quite different to the typical sweet milky or pastry perfumes that were already boring and seemed to never leave a line. As for trail and projection, it’s a total bombshell but totally mouldable according to the occasion, and the longevity is that I shower and I still notice that little sweetness.

  • cursedhazakura

Honestly, it is a scent that gives me a headache and makes my stomach turn. It smells very strong. I notice all those acidic notes and the vanilla in the base, but it simply does not work for me. It is not a perfume I would wear. It seems too scandalous and not a pretty scent.
