I defined the first My Way as a softened L’Interdit; now I’ll define the Intense version as a softened and improved L’Interdit. I couldn’t handle the L’Interdit line because in every version there was a note that annoyed me; they seem loud, irritating and harassing scents that saturate the senses and cause headaches (I sold all four: EDP, EDT, Couture and Intense, and tried the Rouge which was even more irritating, so I convinced myself that line isn’t for me). However, I always liked the sweet neroli scent in L’Interdit. Both in My Way and Intense, I recognise that pleasant neroli aroma that L’Interdit also has, but without the irritating notes. My Way Intense is a velvety, very pleasant neroli scent accompanied by a sweet citrus that adds freshness and greater sweetness than the first version; the vanilla is also more present, making it much creamier. I like it more than the traditional version and recommend it to those who like neroli but didn’t enjoy L’Interdit.
The intense neroli has worn me out. I’ll just say I’d sensed this scent years ago and it reminded me of an aunt who was as obsessed with perfume as I am. I’m sorry, I thought I’d like it; in fact, I liked the opening, but then the flowers took over and stole the show. It requires a lot of personality and self-esteem to wear. But today, I’m saying no. It does have great longevity and is very enveloping.
I only smelled it on blotter but I swear I’ve used this perfume before. Does anyone notice a similarity to Givenchy’s Fleur d’Interdit or something from that era? Any forty-somethings with a better olfactory memory than me? 😂
Neroli and more neroli. The opening smells of very fresh, slightly green orange blossom, then leaves you with neroli for 1-2 hours before settling into a vanilla very similar to the one in Lancôme’s Idole Aura. This perfume undoubtedly sounds familiar; it is not original at all. Its longevity is barely 3 hours with a very soft sillage, suitable for personal enjoyment.
I loved it the moment I smelled it. A beautiful opening with a passionfruit note, followed by that creamy, sweet dry-down. People could smell it on me all day; I don’t understand why people say it doesn’t last; mine lasted until the next day. It’s perfect for spring and warm autumn days, but it doesn’t perform as well in colder weather. It’s beautiful, even if some say it’s too plain (as happened with the original My Way). Try it on your skin and don’t let those comments sway you.
The intense neroli has worn me out. I thought I was going to buy it blind due to the good reviews, but luckily I went to a store and could test it. Although I’ve washed my hands, I can’t get it off my wrist. How intense and oppressive, and on top of that, I absolutely don’t like it.
I’ve tested it three times and loved it every time. It’s floral, long-lasting, intense yet incredibly refined, so well-balanced that it doesn’t come across as cloying. Compared to the original My Way, in my opinion, I prefer the Intense version. I want to buy it. PS: To M4ri4 who mentioned similarities, I don’t know the Givenchy one you refer to, but for me, from the very first moment, it reminded me of Estée Lauder’s Beyond Paradise. MARVELLOUS!
A slap in the face of intense, suffocating neroli. I tested it on blotting paper I’d forgotten in my bag, a terrible mistake! It soaked in badly. I hated it; it gave me nausea and a headache. Do not buy blind.
I tried it in-store and picked up My Way. Although the sales assistant said it wasn’t for everyone, the opening notes reminded me of the Carolina Herrera Parfum from 1988. I don’t know how it will develop over time, but perhaps I’ll look for it in the future. By the way, I’ve seen the original and can confirm that Carlos Benaim is behind both creations.
Truly exquisite. The original My Way didn’t suit me, but my friendly seller insisted I try this, and I took it even though I didn’t let it settle on my skin for five minutes. It has excellent longevity and an engaging trail; to be floral (which isn’t among my favourites), I love it, even the touch of vanilla and its juicy citrus note, a successful combination.
Exquisite, fresh and youthful. I love it.
I acquired this perfume recently and I love it. The scent seems delicious to me; it’s very floral where the neroli mainly stand out and has a touch of vanilla that gives it sweetness. It’s an enveloping and addictive scent, very feminine and sophisticated. I think it’s quite versatile; I don’t see it as exclusive for special occasions or night wear. It’s more elegant and intense than classic My Way, but with moderate sprays, it can be used for different occasions. Personally, I like to wear it in spring and autumn; it’s ideal for those days that aren’t too cold or too hot. If you like white flowers, especially neroli, this perfume is ideal.
More potent than its sisters in the same range, it’s very floral and intense; the vanilla touch is noticeable after a while. It lasts more than 12 hours on the skin, so it’s suitable for dinner, going out to a party, or even weddings. It usually isn’t liked because it’s too enveloping and it’s impossible not to notice you’re wearing it; only suitable for confident people because it attracts attention and can flood a room with its scent. If you want something softer, you can opt for the classic My Way version. For me, it’s a 10/10 and to date my favourite perfume because I like to draw attention with my scent.
It’s wonderful. So, I don’t have much experience with women’s perfumes, but this is worthy of having in the collection. It’s my first time smelling the neroli flower in its full expression. It has become one of my favourite notes in women’s perfumery. Here we have fresh and bright neroli that give a sexual touch to the olfactory experience. The woman wearing this perfume evokes a lot of sensuality, freshness, and attraction for the male sex. It’s one of those perfumes that once you smell it, you don’t want to stop smelling it; it’s addictive. It’s a purchase you can make with your eyes closed. Woman, whenever you want to conquer a guy, use this and you’ll see.
Overloaded with neroli. I bought it thinking it would be like My Way but with more intensity, and yes, it is, but I think it loses that pleasant, fresh, and musky dry-down that is the reason I like My Way. This Intense is that floral scent over a heavy sandalwood base that I found very difficult to wear; I didn’t feel comfortable smelling those neroli all day and the next… because if there is one thing I recognise, it’s that it has brutal longevity and projection; two days after showering twice, it was still on my neck. Finally, I sold it; perhaps in winter it would be more tolerable for me, but in reality, I prefer a different type of scent in winter, not so floral.
I love neroli; it’s one of my favourite notes in perfumery. And this perfume is an ode to it. I perceive neroli accompanied by some citrus over a vanilla base. Very timeless, beautiful, elegant, feminine, and sophisticated. Suitable for spring-summer, with phenomenal performance, lasting over eight hours with high projection. 10/10, it has blown my mind.
Neroli, depending on how they’re worked, I either like them or find them overwhelming; however, trying this perfume full of sweet, cheerful, young yet elegant neroli was an experience. It’s an elegant, feminine, and romantic perfume. It blew my mind; I loved it and bought it. I would use it in cold or fresh climates; I don’t see a perfume that can be worn in the heat because it can be overwhelming, it’s quite intense and very sweet. I’ve seen comments saying it’s suitable for work; in my opinion, NO, it can become annoying due to its sweetness; it’s not fresh at all. BE CAREFUL WITH SOME COMMENTS! Try before you buy.
I like this My Way flanker more than the EDP and it lasts longer on the skin. It’s all-rounder. I detect sweet, fruity, and powerful neroli. To my nose, I smell more orange and tangerine, with a well-balanced vanilla base. I don’t perceive the sandalwood itself, perhaps that’s the enveloping quality I feel? It’s quite linear; I don’t notice much evolution as it dries down, it smells the same as at the start. It has good performance. I hope Le Parfum arrives in my country, because the powdery iris will add a plus to this delight. L’Interdit EDP also has powerful neroli, but you can detect the patchouli and pear that My Way doesn’t have. They can be in the same vibe, but each with its own well-defined personality.
WHY DID THEY REMOVE THE JASMINE? I like this much more than the My Way Floral, but with the original it’s still a ‘meh’. What I do like about this flanker is that the base notes are more noticeable, especially the sandalwood, which the original lacks and gives a subtle, beautiful woody touch. As for the scent itself, it loses a lot without the jasmine. I don’t understand why they changed the jasmine in all the flankers; it’s the heart of My Way. Unfortunately, on my skin it doesn’t perform well; after four hours it’s just skin scent, I suppose due to a lack of musk. The trail is very low. I’m sticking with the original.
Starts with a citrus and neroli explosion, which then wrap around vanilla and honey, keeping those sweet white flowers front and centre. It has great presence and lasts well. I absolutely loved it. It’s semi-formal, suitable for almost everything except wearing it at home. Edit: those sweet neroli notes give a fruity gumdrop sensation, but not childish or cheap; rather, it feels majestic. I love it!
It became my favourite fragrance with 12 hours of longevity on my skin. Combined with Police Love Potion it’s a longevity bomb. 10/10 price-quality. Sillage 7/10, longevity 9/10. If you like neroli and intense perfumes, this is your ideal perfume.
I don’t like My Way EDP at all and I expected this flanker to be for me. And although between the two I prefer this one (since the neroli isn’t so stinging in My Way Intense), it has the original DNA too marked for my taste. Compared to the original EDP, this is sweeter, loses that aquatic part and adds an orange (but it’s very subtle). It has moderate sillage (perceptible) and on my skin a longevity of 9 hours, so if you like the scent, it’s a perfume whose performance is worth it. I don’t think it’s suitable for blind buying, but definitely it’s more pleasant than the original EDP. And for me it doesn’t resemble So Scandal by JPG (a perfume I do love and which has a marked raspberry note unlike this one).
My Way Intense, in my case, is My Way but with a less stinging neroli note, more bearable and slightly sweeter due to the presence of sandalwood. Longevity is medium and projection is rather discreet. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like a dominating perfume to me, but that happens with the traditional one too. It’s a known scent, I understand why some people associate it with hygiene products: it’s a sweet floral that, while providing a pleasant sensation, is perceived as generic. Who will like it: everyone, absolutely.
Could it be that the first impression is what counts? What an devilishly rich opening. The truth is it calms down quite a bit afterwards but doesn’t stop emitting bursts of the aroma; after hours it becomes a pleasure at close range. Ideal for people who don’t like an assertive neroli but one that is perceptible, as in the opening it’s balanced with jasmine and orange. I find it versatile and quite delicious.
Compared to the original, Intense is much creamier and sweeter because it has sandalwood instead of cedar, which softens the neroli a bit and complements it nicely with the vanilla. It’s still similar to the original, keeping the style, and when you smell it, you’d say it’s My Way. It’s super long-lasting on skin and clothes. Super potent, giving a sense of well-being and boosting the mood with fresh flowers as if just cut. It also has a beautiful development: a touch of sweetness but not cloying, but a sweet with flowers that results in a very delicate floral nectar. The recommendation is to try it first in a shop or buy a decant because it has different development on each person. As with all perfumes and this one being potent, it may not please everyone entirely and isn’t very cheap for one to hate it. I personally have a bit of drama with the neroli note as it becomes very intense for me, overpowering the others, and it’s intense like laundry detergent. So try before investing.
I’ll start by saying I like the whole My Way line, but this is my favourite. Its proposal isn’t innovative, but it’s deliciously beautiful and balanced. When spraying My Way Intense, a very crisp and juicy orange appears immediately; jasmine flower then adheres, making a great dance pair with the potent and fragrant neroli. Then comes sweet vanilla and pieces of sandalwood. Here you find a bouquet of fresh jasmine and neroli, bathed in vanilla and dusted with powdered sugar: flowers with a gum-like quality, sweet and powdery. It’s a mature, lovely, intense, sweet and relatively simple perfume. It follows the classic and timeless line. If you adore neroli, it’s your perfume; if you love those gum-like vibes, it’s your perfume; if you like sweet things, it’s your perfume; if you like vanilla, it’s your perfume. Its projection and longevity are very good, about 8 hours on my skin with projection from strong to moderate. I would wear it all year round, but I consider it works better in temperate and cold climates.
I love it in the cold and hate it in the heat. It’s a very good perfume, very well made, but you have to know which days to wear it. It changes from beautiful to horrible depending on the day. Longevity and sillage are very good.
Am I the only one who swore they smelled sweet peach with white flowers at first? Based on the notes and reviews, I was completely wrong, even though I’m not a fan of orange. But this perfume obsessed me: it’s sweet, intense and very floral, and the vanilla at the end is quite appealing.
Creamy, floral and secondarily sweet. It’s very well made, with good sillage and longevity, ideal for cold weather. When I smell it, it’s like putting a flower with lots of pollen right in front of my nose. Although it seems like a good extract and not synthetic, I didn’t like it (personal taste) because it reminds me of lower-quality fragrances. So, although I’m not a fan of Zara, I admit it resembles one from that line. MY WAY PARFUM is something else: delicious, balanced between white flowers and vanilla, cosy, timeless and elegant without losing its youthful charm.
It’s identical to the original but sweeter and creamier; the bergamot is replaced by dessert orange and you can detect the vanilla. It has slightly better longevity, very pretty and feminine.
I love it! It reminds me a little of my beloved original Acqua di Gio, now discontinued. It smells like cool summer nights. If you like white florals, citrus, and a touch of sweetness, it’s definitely worth a try!
I bought a decant to try it because I saw it was Cazzu’s perfume. I find it very similar to the classic My Way but a bit more woody and slightly sweeter. It has a lovely sillage and good longevity; I’m not sure if I’d buy it in full size.
I love it.
My favourite of the My Way range; it has managed to evolve without losing its DNA. Same longevity as the original, a creamier neroli and a subtle vanilla base that makes it more feminine. As others say in comments, you can tell it’s My Way. If you like the original, you might like this one more. If you don’t like neroli, give it a try and decide… it’s one of the few long-lasting options that offer something original with lots of personality. Now, between the original and this, I’m sticking with the Intense. Once you try it, it’s hard to go back.
I received it today as a gift, it’s a beauty. It has a slight resemblance to L’Interdit, just sweeter and creamier. I loved it, I think it’s versatile.
A beautiful perfume with incredible longevity, over ten hours on the skin and several days on clothes. At first, it reminded me a lot of Armani Code for Women, with that fresh yet creamy orange blossom. When it dries, it’s almost identical to another perfume I adore, Women by Ralph Lauren. The neroli predominates but without that synthetic touch found in other fragrances. I liked it a lot; it’s not very original but it’s an excellent option for those who love white flowers. I’d recommend it for evening or cool days, as in extreme heat it can feel a bit overwhelming.
It was my first designer perfume and the most praised in my collection. It opens with a non-bitter orange and orange blossom, then dries down to a beautiful sandalwood base; the vanilla isn’t noticeable. I would buy it again. Longevity 10/10, it projects a lot (but watch out not to over-spray).
Same as the regular version, but with elevated notes.
It’s super feminine, with enveloping neroli like freshly cut flowers and a touch of vanilla that gives it another character without losing its original essence. I liked it much more; the longevity is good and the sillage is potent, you don’t go unnoticed. One of the perfumes that has given me the most compliments.
At first, I was taken by that super-sweet bubblegum scent, likely from the neroli, but then I noticed it turns more citrusy, which doesn’t suit me. It feels like a very strong perfume, too intense, and it doesn’t last as long on the skin as I expected.
