Another year, another birthday for my sister and a new fragrance: Divine Le Parfum. I gifted it because she adores JPG bottles and loves the advert. It doesn’t feel youthful to me, but rather elegant and original (much more so than the EDP). It’s more intense but with distinct nuances: white flowers, a solar note with sea salt and a lovely amber base. Its longevity and projection are better; a lady would feel happy on a terrace enjoying coffee. Super versatile, gorgeous bottle as always. I’ve already gifted it and it was a total success.
I was certain about this. I told my girlfriend when she didn’t like the first Divine: ‘Relax, you love the bottle, but the Le Parfum, Elixir and Eau de Louche versions are coming; I’m sure you’ll fall for them more.’ What joy for those who couldn’t stand the first Gaultier. I’ll update the review with my partner’s real opinion as soon as we manage to get some good decants to try it.
☹️ It smells exactly like the first Divine. This perfume still displeases me. I don’t smell the frangipani.
First impression on smelling it once: the opening is like the classic Divine but the dry-down is more ambered. It remains conflictive on skin. This one is a bit friendlier than the classic, but it has a salty vegetal note I cannot stand until it dries. I will keep trying but for now it remains a NO. A month has passed since the first time, and although it didn’t suit me on skin, I couldn’t get it out of my head. I tested it several times and finally decided to buy it to try it properly. Now I affirm that I have learned to love it. I used it for several days until I understood it and I am in love with what it generates in me and in others. The dry-down is wonderful, it transports me to the sea. I can’t wait to use it on summer evenings after being at the beach all day.
I share what one of the comments said: it smells exactly like the EDP version, but this one is more intense.
First time I heard it: the opening is like the classic Divine, but as it dries down it becomes more ambered. It remains a bit conflicted on the skin. It’s slightly kinder than the classic, but that salty vegetal note prevents me from tolerating it until it dries. I’ll keep trying, but for now it’s a NO. A month later, although it didn’t suit me at first, it wouldn’t leave my mind. I tested it several times and decided to buy it to try it properly. Now I say I’ve learned to love it. It is divine. Strong amber with lots of white and yellow florals. It is very dual: I see it as both evening and solar at the same time. Elegant but fun. What I perceive (which is not declared) is a peach scent. For me it is peach, jasmine, frangipani, and ylang-ylang… I see it as original but not as extravagant as the normal one. I like this one where the notes agree with me more. It reminds me of the Sunflower by Elisabeth Arden but a Deluxe version, sophisticated and expensive for going out.
This is the most loud and strong thing I’ve felt on my skin. The opening isn’t bad, but as it dries on skin, a pineapple note is noticeable (although it’s not declared, I’m sure it carries it). It lasts a lot; they applied it to me in the afternoon in a tester and the next day, after washing my hands several times, that strong and very acidic note was still there, which I didn’t like at all. I think it could suit a woman with a strong personality and tastes for tropical fried foods, but for me it’s a resounding no.

It is more intense but different in nuances: white flowers mixed with a solar note and sea salt, and an amber base. Its longevity and projection are better; certainly, a lady would feel happy on a terrace having coffee. Super versatile. The bottle is lovely, as is customary. I already gifted it and it was a success yesterday.
It is floral, sweet, creamy, and aquatic at the same time; contrasting accords that work brilliantly together. It lasts me more than 9 hours on skin; without a doubt, the best of 2024.

I received a sample with the same brand I purchased; I already had the classic Divine and thought I might like it… wow, what a delight by God! I ordered it instantly, it must be in my collection. The solar and amber notes are very evident. Let’s talk about those 8 hours of longevity… what a beauty! It’s beautiful from the bottle to the scent. Would I buy it again? Of course, I don’t think I could be without it. 😍
I loved it so much that on my first visit to the perfumerie I took the 100ml bottle. Two days in and its aroma is tropical and creamy. The frangipani with amber and salt is very noticeable, an exquisite blend. I also sense a juicy, edible tropical fruit, but it smells like a fine fragrance. The performance is adequate: it lasts about 8 hours on skin and the sillage is noticeable for the first two hours. I liked it.

I loved it; it’s quite similar to the first Divine, only this one doesn’t leave that egg or raw meat smell (I want to think it’s the calypso or meringue note). If you already have the first one you don’t need this (unless, like me, the first one leaves you with that peculiar unpleasant aroma of egg or raw meat, or saliva).
I tested it on blotter and thought: what a wonder? I felt an elegant opening, something solar and ambered that I liked, so I tested it on the skin… a horror. I don’t know what happened, but the chemistry with my skin made it rancid. I tested the classic Divine and it was the same: both smell RANCID on my skin, like damp, old flowers. I truly dislike it immensely. I’m not a fan of JPGs because I find them too sweet and potent; I’m not bothered by the potency, but the level of sweetness is overwhelming. If you have one, don’t buy the other; it’s the same scent, just stronger. Longevity: excellent, it lingers even after a bath. Sillage: potent, you can’t miss it. Blind buy: definitely not, test it on the skin because you might perceive the same thing as me. Occasion: I associate it with the night; I don’t see it for daily use.
I tested it on blotter and thought: what is this wonder? I noted an elegant opening, something solar and ambered that I liked, so I tried it on skin… a disaster! I don’t know what happened, but the chemistry with my skin made it rancid. I tried the classic Divine and the same thing happened to me; both smell like wet, old flowers, which I detest immensely. I’m not a fan of JPG as I find them too sweet and potent; the level of sweetness overwhelms me. If you have one, don’t buy the other, it’s the same scent, just stronger. Longevity: excellent, it lasts after a shower. Sillage: potent, you won’t go unnoticed. Blind buy: definitely not, test it on skin. Occasion: I see it as evening wear, not for daily use.
An addictive perfume. Excellent longevity and projection.
Totally different from the classic Divine. I can’t stand it; there’s a note that’s awful! And this is a luxury. JPG always stands out. I tried it for 7 hours in the shop and it’s still here, intact. Without a doubt I’ll add it to my collection.
It’s an incredible perfume. Longevity and projection are 20/10. I tried it in a shop on a Monday afternoon; that same night I bathed and the next day it was still on my skin. It’s quite similar to the classic Divine EDP, but it has a floral note on the opening that makes it much richer. Also, it doesn’t have that egg smell that many mention, which I also sense in the classic. Without a doubt a marvel that I had to add to my collection.
If you don’t like the classic Divine, give this a chance (testing on skin, I wouldn’t recommend blind buys with any JPG). It has good longevity (around 8 hours), though less than the classic Divine. I perceive it as much sweeter than the original. In the Divine it smelled very much of meringue with a slight salty touch; this one is very, very ambered. I don’t find it redundant to have both; I think they offer different things. If I had to choose just one, I’d stick with the original, however I do think this one is much more pleasant. Every time I wear it I receive some compliments.
Divine with talc. Divine is perfect! Buy the original, it’s beautiful.
Ugh, it smells similar to the regular Divine but more intense, and both smell of egg when dry. Horrible, like unwashed glasses!
An absolute madness of a perfume! In the shop there were no testers, only the regular ‘Divine’ (which had already blown my mind), so I bought it blind. As soon as I opened it and applied the first drop, it hypnotised me! It’s a well-ambered perfume. It does have a salty note which, in my opinion, enhances the amber even more. As for the solar notes, I think they’re more of a mystical delirium than anything else. What is true is that it’s a perfume in which you easily get lost; it embraces you and floods you. As for longevity, I have terrible skin for perfumes (very dry), so I have to apply moisturiser, yet this bomb lasts no less than eight hours. The trail is quite noticeable; not bomb-like in terms of longevity but certainly quite present.
What I like most is that rich, sweet opening, quite potent, which then dries down to milky notes with a salty touch. I don’t smell the egg scent mentioned in the reviews. It’s a rich perfume and very long-lasting; I wore it yesterday and can still smell it now (more than 24 hours have passed).
Finally arrived. I loved it; it’s like a warm embrace, very ambered and sweet but without being overpowering. Although I won’t admit it, I detect a meringue-like quality with a tropical fruit aroma (the frangipani). I was wary of that note due to reviews about headaches, but here it is beautiful, well-creamy, and floating in the trail. Gorgeous. I’ve already tested it on skin and there’s no egg smell or anything strange. The longevity on the tester lasted many days on clothes. It’s perfect for spring, 19 degrees, and a bit humid; I hope to use it in the heat too.
I only tried it with a few drops and it was delightful; it smelled of the beach with a gorgeous floral touch. I love the Frangipani, but the Elixir version is the one that truly won me over. On the other hand, after three hours I noticed a more familiar scent: it’s about 80% similar to the At the Beach by Bath and Body Works (which has a saltier touch), although one is a perfume and the other isn’t. Again, to clarify, this is the one that resembles the BBW scent, not the other versions.
It smells like Divine, but this Le Parfum is more intense with an extra ambered touch, yet still feels fresh. It feels like a sexy and original perfume; it smells delicious on me. For now, it’s in my top tier.
Salty resinous florals. Smelling this in the air on a summer night is incredible, though it works all year round. The salt, benzoin, flowers, and amber are delicious. I detect something acidic at the start. It was the first Jean Paul Gaultier I chose, and the bottle is gorgeous.
Quentin Bisch was inspired by two 90s songs that perfectly describe what Divine smells like: Marta Sánchez’s ‘Arena y sol, el mar azul… contigo yo, conmigo tú’ and Montaner’s ‘Iluminada y eterna, enfurecida y tranquila’.
Wow, I fell in love with this beauty. It’s an elegant and sensual summer evening on the beach at sunset. I adore it; it’s addictive. It’s worth the price.
It’s sweet and dark, fitting my style. On my skin, ambered floral notes stand out from the start, creating a warm and enveloping aroma. However, it’s quite linear, lacking evolution or contrast. Without dynamic nuances, I feel it might get tiring. It’s pleasant, but on my skin it lacks great personality.
I bought a sample out of curiosity and the opening smelled of salty fish; then it evolved, and on the skin it left a distinct egg-like scent with a light fishy base… It wasn’t for me, but tastes differ. The bottle is very pretty, though.
The longevity and sillage are incredible; I’m genuinely smitten. It lasts about 12 hours on my skin. The blend of frangipani and sea salt is fantastic, making it original and unconventional. I definitely love it.
It’s identical to the EDP but with a sweeter, ambered touch. Beautiful and elegant, a true perfume masterpiece. I prefer this version to the original; it’s very special.
I absolutely love it, even though the marine note initially turned me off. Now I truly enjoy it; it suits any season, though I might look for something different in winter. I sprayed it at 9 pm and woke up at 8 am with it still projecting in bursts with my movements, so the longevity is top-notch. One thing to note: men have complimented it on me immensely, and if that’s what defines your purchase, it’s a hit.
