It feels like it’s in the same line as the other Britneys, but with a bit more maturity and less sweetness. The scent is very pleasant for everyday wear. The downside is that it has the least longevity and sillage.

  • It’s sweet but less so than the Fantasy family. It smells of flowers, quite good and soft, evoking ‘tenderness and charm’. The notes I detect most are honeysuckle and linden blossom (though they aren’t listed here, they are in the Britney one). The praliné makes it sweet and rich without being intrusive. As a man, it doesn’t make me feel addicted, but it invites people to get closer. Definitely for summer. A sweet, soft aroma, not cloying.

  • I absolutely love it! It’s been my favourite since it was released. It reminds me of my university days. It adds a fresh, sensual touch and leaves a rich trail. I’ve received many compliments. The best perfume I’ve ever heard!

  • I must confess, it suits me perfectly; I suspect it’s the praliné note that appeals to my favourites. Anecdote: I wore it to work and a woman asked what perfume I was wearing because she loved it. Feeling embarrassed to admit it was Britney, I pretended to be sophisticated and made up an obscure name so she’d never find it, hahaha, just to keep my glamour intact. Otherwise, it’s quite good and I still use it 🙂

  • I believe Believe is truly unique. Compared to Fantasy, it smells more mature and less cheerful, with an almost unisex opening and a sweet, jam-like finish. It’s strange that, being the least popular, I find it the most sober and wearable. Perfect for autumn and winter, where the citrus notes and patchouli really shine. Suitable for the office or casual wear, and thanks to its sophisticated notes, it holds up for a gala, graduation, or wedding without issue. It has good sillage and longevity. The bottle is elegant and worth the price. It’s for women aged twenty and up.

I liked it. It feels a bit heavy and cloying, yet I absolutely love it. It’s a special fragrance that captivates immediately. My advice: don’t wear it every day, as it gets tiring, which is common with most sweet scents. Despite that, it’s very good 🙂

  • Mmm… intense candied patchouli. An excellent fragrance, sweet but not as cloying as Fantasy. Ideal for cooler days.

Believe has arrived and caught me off guard. The patchouli is strong at first, but the blend softens it considerably; it’s not the overwhelming bomb people claim it to be. It smells more mature than the rest of Britney’s line, yet it’s not for ‘older ladies’ as the marketing suggests. It suits me perfectly: youthful, but ideal for a flirtatious, sophisticated twenty-something, not a teenager. It’s perfect for daytime or semi-formal events. Sweet and fresh all at once. I recommend it.

Believe has immense sentimental value for me, especially because it was my first blind buy and the first fragrance I bought for myself. Although its image has changed, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. The original version had a more intense green bottle and that silver strip on the atomiser that the current one no longer has. I hope it stays the same, because although its beliefs aren’t too striking, they are constant. The original was super sophisticated, cheerful, and refreshing, almost green before entering the gourmand phase. It started with an electric shock of juicy guava and potent tangerine. Then came a particular floral centre, a bittersweet and bitter blend of lemon blossom and honeysuckle, something citrusy and white, far from typical tuberose and jasmine. Finally, it warmed up with amber and an impressive patchouli, between Angel and Coco Mademoiselle: aromatic but not chypre, fresh but not fruity, almost an aromatic gourmand for a minimum background of praline. It had incredible longevity, lasting longer than the original Fantasy, though without as much sillage. It was minimalist but complex, evoking caged birds and first autumn leaves, although for me it’s perfect for summer mornings. The reformulation is curious: it’s not as deformed as Fantasy, but it hasn’t aged well either, simply it has decayed. There is much less tangerine; the opening is basically guava with a sour touch. The flowers were reduced, and their bittersweet nuance is fleeting, like ghostly flashes. The patchouli is more aromatic, but the warmth of the amber was lowered to highlight the praline, although it still isn’t dominant and isn’t gourmand in my opinion. The guava seems to grate due to poor handling, although the flowers stabilise it. The sillage and longevity are lower, as usually happens. It’s one of the least popular of Britney, ironically underrated. Its limited success may be due to its aromatic style moving away from the brand’s market and coinciding with key moments in her career. Philosophically, it is more mature than Fantasy or Curious. Nevertheless, it has qualities, especially regarding its price and ease of acquisition. I recommend it as a ‘trainer’ for patchouli fragrances, because although it is central, it’s not as suffocating as in others; having experience with it helps avoid unpleasant surprises. If you already master the patchouli of Angel, you have nothing to fear with Believe, which is a tropical offspring of that shooting star.

I love this perfume, from the bottle to the box… The scent is totally different from what I usually buy, it’s exquisite! Not sweet at all, it’s fresh and inexplicable to me. It’s not for older people; I’m 18 and I use it with lots of love :’3 I love it! With this, it’s the second Britney perfume in my collection; the other is Curious, and I love it just as much because they move away from the typical Fantasy which is nothing special anymore.

  • Natalylopez

I tried it and loved it. From the bird-shaped bottle (as in the singer’s photo) to that crystal clear green guava. The scent is super fruity and tropical, fresh, and lasts quite a while. The patchouli is very noticeable with that gourmand touch of praline, mixed with guava and tangerine.

  • For me, this is the best of Britney, alongside Fantasy Hidden (high perfumery quality at an abusive price). I thought I wouldn’t like it and ordered a sample, but oh my god! It seems like the little brother of Mugler’s Angel. Upon spraying, there’s a wave of herbal, medicinal, potent patchouli and amber, but within seconds it changes completely: sweet, juicy oranges and figs, with praline that sweetens a lot to hint at its origin, and in the base, almost translucent flowers that balance without bothering or making the fragrance heavy. The longevity is good, though the sillage is less than the original but still brilliant. I’m not quite sure where to fit it; it works well formally and informally, day and night, although perhaps not in summer because it could be overwhelming. Very delicious and very underrated; Fantasy has cast shadows for perfumes of its own house with superior olfactory quality, although it depends on taste.

  • I bought it blind and expected something different; the reviews made me think of a creamy, fresh guava bonbon, but what I notice is a tropical opening dominated by orange, like those frozen tubs of sweets I used to eat as a child, like Flash. Then the patchouli comes in, my favourite part because it smells intense and natural, nothing forced like in other perfumes. I can’t find the praline even when I look for it, so for me, it’s nothing gourmand. The sillage and longevity are medium; I’ve smelled more potent things and don’t compare it to the classics from other houses. I use it daily, I like it, but I don’t save it for special occasions or according to my mood like others in my collection. Of all Britney’s, it’s the one I’ve liked least, although it’s not bad. The bottle is prettier than the others. I give it a 6.

  • LaPapayaCosmica

This perfume stands up to great houses like Versace or Carolina Herrera. Its guava, tangerine, amber, and honeysuckle scent is glorious; I’ve worn two perfumes this year and I’m not tired of it; people always ask which one it is. If you like floral-fruity scents, it’s totally for you. The bottle is beautiful. It lasts about four hours on my skin, so I always carry the 50ml version in my bag, but the sillage is good. Longevity 5, Sillage 10, Scent 10, Price 8, Bottle 10.

  • I bought Believe looking for my signature scent, and after two months, it’s my favourite. It was a blind buy at my usual perfumerie thanks to reviews here. It smells delicious and surprises with the price: a citrus, tropical blend with a light patchouli. It feels light, more like Jimmy Choo than Angel. It’s cheerful yet sober and versatile, suitable for going out or work regardless of the time. The problem is that on my skin, the projection and longevity are low, just a few hours; someone next to me doesn’t notice it. I’d like to feel more sillage, because the scent is rich and doesn’t get tiring; it could have been my signature if it had more strength. Greetings from Chile.

  • Believe was what I loved most from my blind buys; it smells citrusy but with that touch of patchouli that makes it super enveloping and present. The longevity is good; it’s one of those perfumes that lasts quite a while on my skin.

  • sweetmarycandy

A friend introduced me to this fragrance and what a delight it is! Fruity, sweet, and not cloying at all, ideal for spring and summer, with good longevity and sillage. Whenever she wore it, everyone complimented her; I asked her to let me wear it because I adored it and praised her taste. I regret not buying it at the time. I didn’t want to copy my friend, but I could have saved it for later. I’m furious that they discontinued high-quality, low-cost fragrances with a scent that many designers would kill for. Now Believe isn’t available in physical stores, and it pains me that they market other celebrity perfumes that are just sugar water, of poor quality, created solely to sell on the star’s image. Perhaps I’ll be inspired to get it online if I find a reliable website still holding stock. It’s not just Fantasy that defines Britney’s line; Believe deserved part of that success. I hope it returns to the market one day and gets the opportunity it deserves.

  • Sofia Carbonell

Believe is the second Britney perfume I love most. It’s sweet but not cloying; to me, it smells like plants. I wear it during the day in summer.

  • Another blind purchase that turned out well. This perfume has nothing to do with the others by Britney, nor is it gourmand or overly sweet. For me, it’s the perfect scent for a rainy day in autumn or spring, with an earthy and herbal touch that evokes that weather. On my skin, it lasts about 5-6 hours with a soft trail.

  • I bought it a couple of years ago blind because in this area of Spain it’s almost impossible to find Britney colognes that aren’t the typical fuchsia, blue or white ones. It went very wrong for me, as I expected something sweeter and it smells like a men’s cologne, not even for my husband. It has that citrus, woody and herbal touch, but on my skin I don’t notice any sweet note. I don’t know if it’s because they reformulated and changed the formula.

  • CYNTHIA1980

Something strange happens with this fragrance: on certain days, in certain climates or moods, it’s unbearable, but other times I love it and can’t stop smelling it. It’s very special due to its many nuances, from sweet to citrus and herbal, with a masculine touch and the sensuality of patchouli. It’s a whole mystery; if I recommend it, you also receive compliments when wearing it, especially in summer, heat or rain, where it’s the sensation.

Believe by Britney Spears. It was launched in 2007 and arrived in Spain at the end of that year. I passed the El Corte Inglés stand, which had a wonderful section of the brand with its full catalogue: 200ml body souffle for €23, a 17€ highlight powder brush, a super coquettish and extremely high-quality marvel. I emphasise that it didn’t have TV ads here, unlike Curious, Fantasy or Radiance from 2010. Since then, no more ads have been released and coincidentally they started reformulating perfumes, leading to the brand’s decline. The 2007 Believe was aimed at a less young audience, the most mature of her brand. When I tried it, it was a marvel: candied guava, tangerine, a citrus explosion that lasted two hours as the main note (it reminded me of Calvin Klein’s Euphoria), and then the amber and perfectly crafted patchouli gave it that unique touch. The trail was long-lasting, about 7-9 hours, no more than the original Fantasy, but it set a very high bar. The original formula had an intense pine green liquid and a metallic heart-shaped plate with the signature. I’ll never understand the reformulations; in the case of Believe, the original was a jewel with its audience. Last week I bought it and it retains 70% of the original scent, but the trail and longevity have dropped to around 4 hours. Although at €20 for a 100ml format (previously €57) it’s a good acquisition. The citrus is emphasised and the amber and praline notes are reduced. It’s not what it used to be, but it’s a successful reformulation, recommended for autumn and winter to feel it more, and in summer it will be very citrusy. Believe, the most mature of Britney Spears.

  • It has a citrus opening that transitions into a masculine woody scent. It’s not sweet or fruity at all; it seems like a men’s perfume with herbal notes.

  • I love it! The packaging is a jewel. It smells spicy and fruity, with a slight citrus touch. It’s special for everyday wear.

  • lacasitadepan

It’s my favourite celebrity perfume for summer, alongside JLo’s Miami Glow. It’s quite fruity but of high quality, nothing ordinary. The notes are well-balanced, as if they were juicy fruits to eat by the beach. It lasts a long time; I already have three bottles because it’s super cheap in Chile, especially in Iquique in the free trade zone. I always take advantage when I return. It’s youthful but nothing teenage.

  • Alienígena

At first, it smells a bit like Angel, but that soon fades to reveal a unique scent I haven’t tried before. It’s an acidic, fruity blend, probably due to the guava, with a powdery and green touch. I see it as perfect for any weather, although it suffers from short longevity and you need to be very close to detect it. Nevertheless, I love it and would buy it again.

  • Pilpintumua3

I found this beauty yesterday and I have no regrets about buying it. Both the top notes and the dry-down leave me in love. When I bought it, the seller told me it was an eau de toilette, but I didn’t care; I said, ‘come on’. I can say this version is for a young woman who left Fantasy 💖 and moved on to the next stage of her life with Believe 💚.

  • Sweet, fruity, and floral aroma, with the sweetness of ripe fruits and fruit juices. When the citrus notes fade, that sweetness becomes more chocolatey. The opening is more citrusy, with tangerine and guava nectar. The flowers stay in the background, though if you pay attention, they are noticeable. It has a green, ghoulish dimension, matching the perfume’s colour. Soft patchouli, vegetable tones, and earthy and soft chocolatey brushstrokes. I find it suitable for informal situations or summer if you fancy something sweet and carefree. I like it, but it lasts very little, about an hour, then fades to skin level. What a pity because I do like the perfume, but the longevity doesn’t seem acceptable to me.

  • amatista77

Conceptually, I like it a lot; it seems interesting to be a celebrity perfume. The blend of a fresh patchouli with a sweet-and-sour guava bathed in chocolate makes it different from everything else by B. Spears, including the lovely bottle design… but what terrible performance. It barely lasts two hours on the skin. I let it macerate for a long time, and it still didn’t improve.

  • debcalvella

It’s very sharp. I liked it at first, but then it started giving me a headache. I ended up giving it away.

  • LosPerfumesDeJavi

This perfume came into my life at Christmas 2007. My cousin gave it to me because I’m a huge Britney fan. I loved the box because it wasn’t the typical one that opens too easily, and the bottle is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen, a pale green diamond shape, looking like a precious triangular stone. Later, I collected Britney perfumes but got tired of them coming out every year; it was exhausting. This is the first one without a ‘sister’, a very different rarity in her collection, a real delight. It’s intense and strong; in my opinion, it’s for cold days. The strong notes are patchouli, guava, tangerine, and amber. It’s elegant and for special occasions. On my skin, it smells very intense. When it dries down, it reminds me a bit of Mugler’s Alien, perhaps due to the excess amber, but they aren’t similar. I like it, but it doesn’t drive me crazy, which is why I’ve had a full 30ml bottle for over 10 years and it still smells the same, incredible. The longevity and sillage are brutal. Britney should take a risk and make more perfumes like this.

  • I love it, but I’d take out the patchouli. It’s not unpleasant, but me and patchouli just don’t get along; I feel it adds a mature or vintage touch to almost everything. Believe smells fresh at first but evolves into something very mature that doesn’t convince me. If it only stayed in that fruity, fresh opening that evokes an afternoon by the beach, it would be my perfect perfume, but that annoying patchouli had to be there 🙁

  • It’s my favourite perfume; I remember my mother giving it to me for Christmas. At first, I found it heavy and strong, even smelling a bit old-fashioned, and it gave me a headache. One day I decided to give it another chance, and it became my favourite. It’s distinct; I can’t find anything similar that lasts longer. With the reformulations, it’s no longer a shadow of the original that lasted forever and lingered on clothes. Although people say it’s for hot weather, for me, it shines on rainy days 😍.

  • I had high expectations and took a risk buying it blind. The fruity, fresh opening isn’t bad, but the dry-down is horrible. It reminds me of the typical older man’s perfume or my grandfather’s. I’m not sure if it smells like Brummel or Dandy Man, but I wouldn’t use it even as a room spray.

  • AdrianG87

I consider it one of the best fresh fragrances out there; it’s absolutely delicious and I’d recommend it even for gentlemen. It really is wonderful and I love it, although I think it suits younger people better.

  • FranVallekas89

To be honest, it’s one of my favourite fresh and green scents. I see it as super unisex, even though it’s marketed towards men. I tried it because it smells intriguing and has a unique character.
