Floral, fresh, and sweet! Since its release, I can appreciate the lotus flower, the pear appearing sweetly, and the magnolia, then the jasmine appears somewhere, but in me, its contribution is tiny. Perfectly balanced amongst themselves, none overshadows the other. I never sense the vanilla, nothing powdery or woody. This scent is rich. Floral, fresh, and sweet. In me, its protagonist flowers are the lotus and the magnolia. Fresh, but not aquatic or citrusy; it’s a clean freshness that at times will remind you of some ‘shampoo’. Its sweetness comes from the pear and complements it exquisitely with a fruity touch. It is a very feminine, soft, subtle, comfortable, uncomplicated, and youthful fragrance, a daily wear. It is ideal for this upcoming spring and summer season, transitioning perfectly between the two. As I mentioned, for daily wear. On those fresh spring and summer days, it’s a sweetness that isn’t annoying or cloying. For a walk outdoors, shopping, work, but it’s something semi-formal. Sillage and longevity are moderate for this Eau de Parfum. Its presentation is beautiful and very ‘Curious’ in how it’s presented. It looks great. Its sky-blue colour will make you think it’s a very aquatic scent, even ‘aquatic’ is in its accords. Personally, that made me not want to buy it because I don’t tolerate them; they become very masculine on me. I decided to give it a chance, I bought it, and it was… ‘love at first sniff’. It has become one of my favourites when I want something more impassive and light.
I met you in an adolescent magazine. You were a gift, a sample, a present. You were just that until I decided to liberate you from your prison in the form of a two-millilitre sky-blue vial and let you flood my small doll with your being. Then the unthinkable happened. Magic occurred. You were no longer just a sample. I couldn’t even call you a perfume. Because you were alive, pulsating, feeling, whispering unintelligible poems to my ear while caressing my senses with your angelic, heart-melting melody. I knew that if heaven existed, your scent must be the scent of all angels. Because you are pure, ethereal, loving, and a peace-bringer. Because you turn me into an angel. Or you did. Now I fear approaching you. So much time has passed, far too much. My soul has lost much blood. It has glimpsed several wars, lived them, broken, defiled. How could I possibly approach something so fragile and benign? How could I not feel unworthy of carrying such innocent and kind beauty, so luminous, so white? No. It would be like dressing a crocodile in a veil of pure silk. Absurd, out of place. Impossible. Go away, please, go away.
I’m not very expert at distinguishing notes. I bought it blind and didn’t like it at all. It has nothing sweet or fruity, just a heavy floral aroma, very much like Anais Anais. That kind of scent that hits you like a slap and you don’t want to smell it again. It’s not a fresh or sparkling scent, certainly not youthful. A perfume not for everyone. Ugh, a bad choice.
Well, I absolutely adore it. I bought it again because I had it in my adolescence and wanted to keep it to wear occasionally. The scent has changed; now it’s more aquatic, whereas I remember it as more floral, but the essence remains the same. I have very expensive perfumes, but since this one is so reasonably priced, I enjoy it immensely. Besides, it reminds me of a precious stage in my life; it smells like Anian hair conditioner, a one-litre green bottle (that’s what it looks like to me). An unmistakable scent. Perfect for August in Madrid when you only have a shower every four hours! Always fresh and smelling clean.
For some time now, I’ve been unfaithful to my beloved gourmand perfumes… and I’ve been cheating on them with white florals. I can’t quite explain what’s happening with me and white florals: fresh, clean, with a hint of purity… I’m absolutely fascinated by them!!! I enjoy them and have been preferring them over the sweet ones. Curious has that fresh, clean floral magic, woody, and on my skin, it’s very persistent. I had it abandoned in a corner, always giving priority to any of my Fantasies over it… but today I love it!!!! (eyes emoji with hearts)
Innocent, delicate, quite aquatic; it reminds me of summer and childhood. I don’t know why, but it brings back memories of when I was a little girl… although, if I think about it, perhaps I’ve smelled something similar in a shampoo before, but very faintly. I love it… it seems like a casual-use scent, but it’s very childish for an adult woman, as it’s neither sensual nor romantic, simply innocent and delicate.
I’d describe it as fresh, youthful, and feminine. This was one of my first fragrances when I was at high school; it brings back so many memories. Even though I wouldn’t use it now, I always keep it close to my heart.
Smells like a lady 💀 I wouldn’t recommend it for young people! Unfortunately, I ended up gifting it to one of my friends. It does smell really good, but I just don’t want to smell like a lady, haha. Edition – After almost a year, I decided to give the fragrance another chance. What can I say… I STILL HATE IT WITH EVERY FIBRE OF MY BEING.
A very accessible perfume that I highly recommend if you like fresh white florals. I see it as perfect for daily use; it lasts up to six hours on me and people do notice it. It’s a very elegant scent, and I recommend it for girls aged 25 and upwards as I don’t see it as a teenage smell.
It’s a clean, sweet, soapy floral that makes it ideal for everyday wear. I see it as suitable for any age. The quality-to-price ratio is excellent.
I’ve always been complimented with this perfume.
I love this perfume. On my skin, what stands out most are the neroli and jasmine, but natural and freshly cut. They feel fresh and clean. What a pleasant scent… I wish I’d discovered it sooner.
When I was 13 I started using perfumes. I had many but loved very few. Lolita Lempicka, Cacharel’s Amor and this… marked an era. Let me tell you how I fell in love and how it made me fall in love. The funny thing is it was winter. It arrived in an order to try new fragrances, I’d just hated a Moschino one and was hoping something better would come. The day arrived, I put it on and went out to the shop in front of the factory where I spent my time helping sell at an international roadside stop. I was sitting down and couldn’t stop admiring that delicious scent and how I felt beautiful and special. Returning to that day, a man asked for something behind the counter. I passed him and, in a desperate and somewhat sinister way, he grabbed my knitted jumper and pulled me towards him. I observed in his eyes that he wasn’t looking at me but at nothing, trying to decipher that scent. He let go immediately (realising he’d gone too far) but it seemed remarkable how, staring at nothing, he only managed to say with force: ‘What perfume are you wearing? Tell me please, I’m going to buy it for my girlfriend’. The girls with me started laughing, everyone said it smelled wonderful and pointed out the name. The man thanked me and left super happy. I noticed how the perfume was etched into his memory and mine. Whenever I went anywhere they asked about it. At least on my skin it smelled wonderfully, that’s how I remember it. Today I ordered my new bottle after 14 years… I’m happy, as if I were reuniting with something special.
Mmm, it’s not a bad fragrance but not a wonder either. At first it smells like cheap and ugly perfume, then that intense scent fades and it becomes softer, very aquatic and clean.
Smells like an old lady, I didn’t like it at all.
The best perfume in history, simply my favourite from Britney Spears. The bottle is beautiful with that aquamarine colour and glassy touches. In my opinion, the notes are quite aquatic and white floral; you can smell that water pear note at the start and the flowers blend to give very sweet and soft notes. The bottle colour does it justice, it’s definitely nostalgic and delicious.
Smells like a freshly bathed room. It’s a very youthful, light, fresh and clean scent. Perfect for very hot days, it’s not overpowering at all. I like to wear it after a shower on those hot afternoons or evenings to refresh myself before bed. The trail and longevity are very soft.
It’s a fragrance that puts me in a good mood, feminine, aquatic, cheerful and clean. The neroli adds sweetness and makes the other flowers seem to float on water. It’s quite fresh, I recommend it for hot days. The trail for the first hour is good, then it fades, and for the next four hours it stays close to the skin.
I wasn’t expecting much from Curious, having had many failures with designer perfumes before, but this has exceeded my expectations. I’d read reviews calling it ‘ladylike’ or ‘vintage’, but I disagree: it’s youthful, non-invasive and suits any casual day. On my skin, the magnolia stands out before yielding to the neroli. It’s a linear floral duo; after an hour, I barely notice any woody notes. I don’t find it sweet except for the florals. I’ve worn it in summer and it’s brilliant, but not for winter as it smells of spring and warmth. The first hour is the best, afterwards the trail is discreet, almost just for me.
Very pleasant, a super fresh white floral with an aquatic touch that’s sweet yet stays clean. It reminds me a lot of Ralph Lauren’s Blue; they aren’t identical but are very similar. The longevity is good for the price, lasting around 5-6 hours.
For some strange reason, I think it’s older than it is (2004); it’s a super classic and delicate scent. I adore its notes; I see it as a matronly perfume, but that gives it a certain vibe and makes me enjoy wearing it when I was young, reminding me of the typical Avon perfumes my grandmothers used in the 2000s. I love everything it conveys; it makes you smell rich and clean. It’s one of the best Britney Spears released, and I’m angry that it’s so undervalued compared to Fantasy.
Curious, wow, how hard it is to find the non-refurbished perfume with the original gift box and atomiser. Lots of magnolia and aquatic notes, but it feels like the green of the stem, that fresh scent like just having a bath or walking into a florist cutting white bouquets. I don’t consider it youthful and I’m grateful for that; I’m overwhelmed with gourmand scents; from this to its flanker In Control, I’d choose the original a thousand times. Fresh and simple, opening slightly alcoholic, but it’s a celebrity perfume and a pioneer, so I judge it by its year. If it feels like a lady’s perfume? If you smell good and not like sugar or sweets, that’s what smelling like a lady is about, I’m here for it. Cons: moderate longevity, I’m not bothered by reapplying it. If you’re a Britney fan, go for it; if not, test it first because it might not be for everyone.
Hello, I don’t like it and it doesn’t last.
It marked an era in my secondary school; I always loved it, and it lasted a long time on me. Then I felt it was very elegant for evening occasions, so today, at 30, I see it more as a daytime scent. I recommend it if you like the smell of neroli, as it’s the note I perceive the most.
I wore it about 15 years ago: very rich, usable, and fresh, without being too sweet to offend the classroom. The longevity leaves much to be desired, but it’s a classic, fresh, floral scent that doesn’t go too sweet, very nice. For the price, I consider it quite satisfactory.
Everything I smell is pear, magnolia, and neroli. My daughter says I wear a pear perfume, so it’s quite noticeable. It improves over time; at first it lasted nothing, but now that it’s been with me for months, it lasts very well for 5 to 7 hours on clothes and skin. Sometimes I can’t even smell it on myself, but people ask me what I’m wearing. I really like it.
I had it for three years as a gift from my aunt during my teens. It’s a lovely scent of tender little flowers, clean and fresh. My dad used to say it smelled like funeral flowers, and I never received compliments. Notes: Magnolia and Jasmine. Longevity: 3 hours on skin, 5 hours on clothes. Sillage: low, very intimate. I think there are better florals, but it’s good for girls and teenagers. It’s weak in performance; for the price, you could get something better like Armaf Momento Fleur or Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds and Saphires, which are in the same line but offer better performance.
I was looking for something casual and carefree for daily wear and remembered a friend recommending Curious to me 15 years ago. I spotted it at a good price on Amazon and bought it. I’ve been wearing it for a week; the first impression was ‘brand new wrist’. The bottle and box are gorgeous. It’s a white aquatic floral with strong notes of magnolia, jasmine, neroli, and musk. Totally feminine, delicate, cheerful, wearable, and innocent, ideal for spring and summer. Sillage and longevity are between weak and moderate, but better on clothes than on skin. Ignore the opening; it’s alcoholic and unpleasant, but after 20-30 minutes it becomes lovely and delicate. Sometimes it smells like hair product (which I like) or a bit synthetic, but it doesn’t bother me. It’s my go-to. Edit: Two months later. Something curious happens to me: I usually dislike synthetics and short-lasting scents, but this, despite feeling synthetic and having a 90s vibe, makes me want to keep using it, and I miss it when I don’t wear it. I get soft bursts of notes like pear, jasmine, lotus, and magnolia that make it floral, clean, and sweet. I imagine a teenager wearing it in the late 90s or early 2000s.
I rarely buy perfumes multiple times for life, but this is one of them. It was one of the first I could afford to buy for myself due to its low price, and it turned out to be a gem. I absolutely love it; it’s a safe choice: not intrusive or loud, but noticeable. It’s floral and clean, BBB 💯.
I’m not usually a floral person, but I’ve been wearing this for months with high expectations as a Britney fan, and it surprised me. It opens with magnolia sweetened by pear (a bit strong for me), followed by jasmine and lotus, closing with a musky vanilla and very subtly woody scent that reminds me of a real tree. I don’t like the opening; it feels a bit matronly, but the dry-down is wow. Sillage and longevity are moderate; I tried the body mist and it lasted about five hours on the skin. It’s affordable, clean, aquatic, and floral, though for me it’s not as youthful as they market it. I’ll give it another chance because the dry-down just captivates me.
Super 90s and 2000s scent. At first, the flowers and synthetic notes stand out, but once dried down it’s super aquatic, fresh, and beautifully sweet. The pear is noticeable. My mum gifted me the 30ml and later found the 100ml, so I didn’t miss out. It’s a proper fragrance with all the 2000s feeling and there’s no losing if you’re looking for this. Moderate longevity, perfect for daily wear, but not for girls under 20. I tried it on my 16-year-old niece and it came across as very stately with strong floral notes; neither she nor I liked it. I recommend it for 23 and over. It reminded me of Heiress by Paris Hilton, though comparing them now I don’t think the same, the dry down is similar. Classic, fresh, and the bottle is gorgeous. 100/100.
I adore the stately scents of Elizabeth Arden and Carolina Herrera, I absolutely adore them. I found Curious stately but initially it was a floral slap in the face; I had to step away. Someone liked it and I noticed their face lighting up with love. It’s the typical you love it or hate it; I didn’t hate it, simply I didn’t like it.
Soft aquatic floral. Poor longevity and sillage; it’s gone from the skin after two hours. A pity regarding performance; the scent is lovely but I wouldn’t buy it again.
I don’t know much about notes, but it’s one of the most complimented in my collection; men love it. Some women praise it too, but men are the ones who notice most; a friend always tells me to wear it. It adapts to any season or occasion: bar, party, birthday, interview, or date. It’s floral, slightly sweet, sensual yet tender, like a hug. The name fits well. I have the 100ml which is uncomfortable; next time I’ll buy the smaller size. It lasts 8 hours or more on clothes and has good sillage. I’d buy it again.
It was one of my perfumes from the 2000s and I have fond memories of it. If I see a deal, I’ll buy it again.
Very alcoholic opening and drying down to honey. There’s no lotus, violet, jasmine, or vanilla, just alcohol and honey. That’s it. 2/10.
Sweet floral and nothing more. It lacks personality, smelling rather teenage. Longevity and sillage are poor, plus the atomiser fails and the bottle is uncomfortable.
I fell in love at first sniff and now I have eight or nine bottles. Clean, fresh, flirtatious, playful, and soft. It’s my favourite of Britney Spears; I never get tired of it and it brings back good memories. For me, it’s a ten.
Top fragrance with fruity and floral notes, the pear is noticeable. I wear it daily for work; it’s fresh and clean. Lasts long on clothes and skin if I use cream and oil, reaching up to 8 hours, and people always compliment me.
Aquatic floral and sweet; smells nice but fades quickly and lacks presence; ideal if you’re looking for something delicate.
