Descripción

Hugo Energise by Hugo Boss is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by perfumer Claude Dir. Its opening unfolds a vibrant explosion of pink pepper, lemon, kumquat, pineapple leaves, mint, mandarin, and cardamom. The heart reveals a floral and spicy harmony featuring juniper, jasmine, nutmeg, statice, freesia, and coriander. The trail settles on a warm, structured base of leather, vanilla, and teakwood.

  • Wow, strange that a fragrance with a long history on the market has so few reviews. I tried it and loved it; it’s just like my dad’s, one of our favourites for everyday wear. Overall it’s citrusy: tangerine, lemon, orange and a touch of pineapple. If I described it all, it would be sweet grapefruit with pepper and nutmeg. I don’t detect leather, woods or vanilla, just a tiny, well-made floral note that’s barely noticeable in that citrus blend and is in no way feminine. Note: try it from time to time; it might become your daily favourite, recommended for any age.

This smells like the classic Hugo—a delicious woody aroma. I recommend it to death; those who don’t know it should give it a try and won’t regret it.

  • I bought it because it won me over at first glance and it’s rich, but after a while I just wanted it to finish. The trail is heavy and eventually you get tired of the smell; it’s too much and becomes cloying over time.

  • I got this as a gift and used it down to the last drop; it’s the only Hugo Boss fragrance I’ve liked. I find it super versatile. At a good price, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. Scent 8/10, versatility 10/10, trail 8/10 and longevity 6/10.

  • I had this as a gift and used it until the bottle was empty. It’s the only Hugo Boss fragrance I like. I find it super versatile. At a good price, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. Scent 8/10, versatility 10/10, trail 8/10 and longevity 6/10.

Sounds like the classic Hugo Boss sporty and casual scent, but on my skin it lasts barely 30 minutes, sometimes as little as 2 hours—I almost had to shower to get rid of it. The trail is poor; I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ll finish the bottle but won’t be buying it again.

The scent is very classic, like Hugo Boss Sport and Casual, but the longevity on my skin is minimal: 30 minutes to maybe two hours, almost making me want to wash it off. The trail is poor; I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ll finish the bottle but won’t buy it again.

  • Cosmico Jupiter

Sporty scent with an incense vibe; the trail is very soft and you have to apply it generously, yet paradoxically it lasts forever on clothes. It’s addictive, yes 🙂

I absolutely love the citrus, nutmeg and pepper notes that define this; it’s a cracker despite that slightly synthetic touch. Super versatile for any weather and occasion. Lasted 6 hours on skin and 2 hours of trail. If you’re looking for something everyday, it’s worth it; I’d give it 7/10.

Delicious. The best part is that it’s uncommon; here in Guatemala, it’s rarely smelled or seen on anyone. Perfume copycats don’t imitate it either, as it’s not a common scent, so people don’t recognise or seek it out. But what a wonderful fragrance!

Delicious. What I love most is that it’s not a common fragrance; at least here in Guatemala, you rarely smell it or see anyone wearing it. It’s also not one that’s copied in replica shops, as people don’t recognise the scent and don’t look for it. But what a wonderful fragrance!

I had it five years ago: soft, fresh with a hint of orange, but not very long-lasting. Perfect for daily wear.

  • I love it. It’s my favourite for daytime. It has a good trail and longevity, especially for Cuba’s summer climate.

  • I had this in 2014 and loved it, but the Echo won’t last because it doesn’t hold up. Those who own it can attest to that. A shame, as it’s truly an exceptional and well-crafted scent.

  • Excellent scent, bordering on perfection. It attracts female sighs by the dozen. If you use it, spray it on your clothes as it lasts much longer there; a garment stored away for a month still smelled of it. I love it; a 10 for Hugo Boss.

  • An excellent scent, bordering on perfect, attracting female sighs by the bucketload. If you’re going to wear it, spray it on your clothes because it lasts for ages; I had a garment stored away for a month and when I wore it again, I was surprised to still smell the fragrance. Personally, I adore it, a 10 for HB.

  • Manuel Cornejo

An exquisite, fresh and masculine fragrance. At first, a youthful citrus note dominates, giving vitality; around an hour later, the heart and base notes emerge, creating a spiced atmosphere with a touch of subtle leather. It lasts seven hours or more. The trail is approximately one metre. For the price, it feels expensive, but it’s thoroughly recommended if you like sweet yet non-cloying citrus, subtle, spicy and woody notes.

  • Manuel Cornejo

An exquisite, fresh and masculine fragrance. At first it projects a youthful citrus note that gives vitality, and around an hour later the heart and base notes take over, creating a spiced atmosphere with a slight leather touch. It lasts about 7 hours or more. The trail is roughly 1 metre; for the price, it feels much more expensive. Totally recommended if you like sweet citrus without it being cloying—a subtle, spiced and woody citrus.

  • My favourite perfume. What captivates me most is that it’s interesting, a harmony of scents. It’s fresh like a cologne, but the spicy notes electrify it; sometimes it makes the skin prickle. It’s discreet and, over time, tends towards sweetness without being cloying. I’m surprised this line isn’t talked about more; perhaps because others seek attention rather than expressing something genuine.

  • My favourite fragrance. What captivates me most is that it’s interesting, a harmony of aromas. It’s fresh like a cologne and the spicy notes just electrify it. It makes the skin prickle; it’s discreet and tends to become sweeter as the hours pass, but never cloying. I’m surprised this line isn’t talked about more; perhaps the most discussed ones are those trying to grab attention, but they don’t express as much and only want a first impression.

  • The finest fragrance I’ve tried from Hugo Boss: fresh and masculine. What a pity it’s no longer available.

  • I tried this years ago and found the aroma exquisite, yet it didn’t last at all, no matter how much I applied it. Eventually, I grew tired of it and I don’t think I’d buy it again.

  • Gentil vagabond

This scent is unique; it’s the best Hugo Boss has ever made. If you enjoy compliments, this is your summer or gym essential. They say it’s discontinued, but if you can find it, it’s an absolute must-buy.

  • It’s a shame that such delicious fragrances as this don’t last more than three hours on the skin. I know countless cases. A terrible waste of scent. 😭

  • Carlos Ivovic

Fantastic perfume with a spicy aroma. You can detect the pepper at the start, and it remains subtly throughout the evolution. In my case, it adheres well to the skin with good longevity. Although perfumes go out of fashion, this is a classic worth buying again. Well made by BOSS. I haven’t found anything like it until today.

  • Hugo Energize is fruity, aromatic and musky. The opening is fresh and citrusy, with spicy notes that give it depth. After a few hours, it settles into a woody base with fresh aromatic notes that remind me of Y by YSL. It’s clearly a daytime scent, perfect for adding energy thanks to its freshness. Ideal for spring and summer, casual outings, school, and anything informal. Longevity was seven hours on me, but it clings to the skin rather than projecting after half an hour. Not bad if you can get it at a good price, although there are alternatives that outperform it, likely due to reformulations.

  • Delicious scent that I used for several years and will buy again. Everyone loved it. It didn’t last long, but what perfume lasts these days? Besides, given the price, you can apply quite a bit, and it did last a little longer on clothes.

  • Polperfumeman

Hugo Energize: masculine, fruity and everyday. I have mixed feelings. It’s a spectacular, rich scent, typical of fragrances that are no longer made, but it is limited by two factors: it’s not distinctive enough in such a saturated market today, and the longevity for the price. If it lasted more than three hours on the skin, it would be one of the best in value for money. For now, it’s for daily wear. Ideal for brand loyalists or anyone looking for a daily designer scent.

  • For those seeking this fragrance as it’s no longer available, I’d recommend dupes: European perfumes, Zenz and even Fraiche. They share an incredibly similar DNA.

  • My favourite fragrance; I still find it in some shops with old stock. Perhaps I’m clinging to a certain memory. 10/10.

  • What a wonder! 🔥❤️ My skin suits this Hugo Boss house beautifully. It was one of the perfumes that earned me the most compliments: sweet, summery, flirtatious and youthful. What a pity it’s discontinued. 10/10.

  • This perfume sparked my obsession with smelling good; it’s a rich fragrance. Now, at 34, it wouldn’t make sense to buy it as it’s more suited to the young, pure nostalgia. I’d still recommend it 100%.

  • Very cheerful and fruity, an original and exquisite blend. The only drawback is its poor longevity and projection; if the first twenty minutes lasted two hours, it would be spectacular. Still, at $25 for a 75ml bottle, I recommend it.
