Curious Heart is a reissue of Curious (2005) by San Valentín, and in my opinion, that packaging is a disaster. As for the fragrance, it’s basically the original Curious, though some claim it has more pear; I’d argue the opposite: more white florals, less pear, more sandalwood, with a better trail and longevity. Curious was a global hit and beloved across the US and Europe, but inevitably, it was reformulated in 2008. The current formula is much weaker, with fewer white florals, a poorer trail, and doesn’t last as long as the original. I mention this because many theorise that Curious Heart holds the original Curious formula, but unlike the Fantasy Anniversary Edition, that remains just a theory. Both Curious Heart and the two Curious formulas remind me greatly of Dior’s J’adore, but with less pretension. If you take the plunge with Curious Heart, you might find the original Curious (far more elegant than the current version) or simply enjoy an adorable collector’s bottle.
