Descripción
Bentley for Men Intense by Bentley is a spicy oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2013, the nose behind this composition is Nathalie Lorson. The top notes reveal black pepper, bay leaf, and bergamot; the heart unfolds rum, woody notes, cinnamon, helichrysum, and African geranium; while the base notes close the pyramid with incense, leather, benzoin, cedar, and patchouli.

For its price, it’s worth having, but I wouldn’t recommend buying blindly, and it won’t give compliments if that’s what you’re looking for.
I was looking for something that smelled like whisky and I wasn’t wrong. It’s linear: rum, then leather and wood. You won’t smell like a teenager, nor like an old man (although my mother was the only compliment). It lingers on clothes, perfect for smearing on a brown winter coat. With temperate-to-cold weather and at night, it’s brilliant.
This is very tasty; I’ve received compliments and I don’t care if they come or not. It doesn’t smell like the majority: Sauvage, CH, One Million, Invictus. This is for smelling different, not like a baby’s nappy.
Much has already been said, so I’ll be brief. Only for formal occasions and cold weather. It comes out strong with incense, then woods and more incense. If you’re a fan of trendy scents, look elsewhere; this isn’t for you.
A fragrance for personal taste and enjoyment. It smells like a party with friends, happiness, and an Alfa badge. I haven’t received many compliments, but who cares when you smell better and different? Your worst mistake is telling people what you’re wearing and having everyone else use it too. Enjoy it and dress well. 20/10, lasts over 8 hours and projects well.
Much has already been said; it’s excellent for cold weather and a price/quality icon. Don’t seek compliments; it’s for personal enjoyment. The leather and liquor stand out, but the laurel and incense make it special. After Almairac, my second favourite perfumer is Lorson; thanks to her and other perfumes, I’ve got three bottles. Note: the regular version is so good and more wearable for informal occasions. The Absolute is another must-have, but harder to wear.
Very elegant: leather, woody rum, and incense. Excellent for its price. Best mode.
Bentley never disappoints, although it would be perfect if it lasted a little longer.
It’s a woody amber with a rum top note and a heart of spiced laurel and geranium. Excellent quality, longevity, and sillage. For its price, it offers the most in the market; if it were from a niche house, it would be a great perfume. It’s neither too alcoholic nor challenging; it’s perfect for everyday wear and a fantastic signature.
I refused to buy it because of the leather, but I love alcoholic and woody tones. What a mistake! It’s a total hit. I remember smelling it years ago, much softer. The leather blends brilliantly with rum and woods, creating a sense of luxury and opulence. The bergamot barely appears, but the pepper gives it an interesting spicy touch. Over time, the leather gives way to a realistic barrel of wood and the incense adds body. The rum persists throughout, projecting an air of power and elegance, far from today’s sweet fragrances. Ideal for gala events with impeccable attire. It smells expensive, not cheap. If Bentley had a scent, this would be it: leather, woods, and liquor.
Hurrah! I just say that in its opening it carries oud, it lasts barely 15 minutes but it is clearly perceived. I am not an expert to differentiate notes, but the oud, if you have natural fragrances and familiarise yourself, you detect it, whether natural or chemical. I say it is in the opening, a more trained nose than mine, who never worried to learn more than the typical notes of classics, would detect it in the middle phase. Otherwise, a top-notch perfume! I do not think I will use it much, one must go very dressed up to wear the fragrance and I do not like that at all. P.S. a smashing perfume.
Perhaps the perfume to which I succumbed most due to the hype. I heard it was ‘low-cost niche luxury in a bottle’, I ordered a decant and thought: how unimpressive. Things are attributed to it that are not true, typical of those who live perfumes through other people’s opinions. I think it is a superb scent that is misunderstood. I am writing this review to counteract the artificial hype and help with an informed purchase. First is the opening of the pepper, frankly overwhelming, like cacio e pepe. I understand it is in fashion and seeks to be shocking, but it generates olfactory fatigue in me and even triggers my rhinitis. The laurel deepens that spicy-aromatic profile (I suspect that is what many detect as oud) and seems to appeal to those trying to appear rough. If you have a sensitive nose like me, the best is when it disappears and the good notes come out. The rum stands out, the kind of rum that those who have not had a good rum would recognise, but I do not say it is bad, it is the vibe it tries to transmit. It predates the Bvlgari Man In Black, but as if the creator had smelled that and thought the Man In Black was not hard enough. It is a well-alcoholic rum that one must find the point for, but once appreciated it is charming. For those who say it smells like ‘a drunk man’, I offer to show them exactly how much alcohol one smells. It is a good note, especially when it dries down and the base notes enhance it, above all the sweetness of the cinnamon and that roundness that on my skin makes a leather note frankly extraordinary, perhaps the best I have ever smelled. The incense adds a perpetual masculinity, well understood, not shouty. The wood is hard to find but in the background it smells like a achieved cedar and something confused with caramelised leather, which I think is mahogany, a deep and elegant wood. The benzoin sweetens the cinnamon and makes the dry-down gentle. The cinnamon is felt a lot, I know many cannot stand it, but for me, a sweet enthusiast, it is what I like most. Compared to what young people use (gum, caramel, Khamrah), this sweetness results in something stately and of good taste. I have tried flambean with condensed milk, rum, and cinnamon, it is surprisingly similar. I have kept it for winter and it has oxidised; now it is better, the pepper has lost potency and the incense accompanies instead of being a bomb. It is less masculine but more enjoyable. It is for the cold, one must dress well to appreciate it. It is not a blind buy. Regarding the propaganda of boss or millionaire… it does not smell expensive. What consists of smelling expensive? Of ostentatious ingredients? Of barn leather? This fragrance must be loved for what it is, not for what is sold. It is not elegant, it has its point of elegance, notes like woods and incense add sobriety to a rogue fragrance. It has the elegance of a man with bearing in jeans. It is not mature, but without resembling any, it reminds me of all my father’s perfumes. With what is used today, I see many forum users adopting a mature attitude that they would never have budgeted for. It has brought me compliments to me, which is rare. If it means something, rest assured: there are too many people who appreciate these perfumes in contrast to those designed for Tinder. There is a question: as with everything excellent for its price, the only thing left is that they are excellent, and when people discover they are not a panacea, they vilify them. I suspect that is why it has that rating. I was disappointed when I tried it until I gave it time and understood it was my fault for the hype; now I love it. Someone may think I was harsh, and I agree, but this is no longer the cheap perfume they sold us. Due to demand it has a high designer price and I judge it appropriate. The market raises prices and forgets to lower them. We shall have to look among the Bentley for men for the next queen of quality/price. Regarding performance, I think it is very good, about 8 hours on skin and projection of a metre. They talk about reformulations, if it does not last now I can only think this bottle contained a nuclear bomb. When have you seen an elegant person whose perfume tramples while shouting its presence? This is perfect. Considering everything, I give it an 8.99. On its best day I love it.
I agree, friend. The leather and base notes are good, but the synthetics and Nathalie Lorson’s work are of abysmal quality. I agree with her review and my experience: almost all reviewers repeat nonsense and fall into fourth-rate snobbery.
I tried it yesterday after years of hearing miracles about the Bentley Intense. Luckily I do not buy blindly based on reviews. I simply could not stand it, nor could my wife. One less on the list.
It is a first-class blend with a flawless structure, designed for formal occasions. The notes flow harmoniously creating a sophisticated and present scent without being overpowering. From the start it combines classic elegance with a modern touch, probably thanks to woody or spiced chords that give it depth. On skin it evolves coherently with smooth transitions. Its projection is notable and its longevity is ideal for events where you want to make a good impression without being loud.
I bought it blindly. If you like woody, smoky, and boozy notes, you will love it. I got it for 20 euros, an absolute bargain. I agree it is not for formal occasions; it is more for Christmas with the cold and a fire, or for walking through cold cities. It is warm, inviting to get closer, and after the opening, it smells wonderful. Despite some saying it smells cheap, it certainly does not; it has designer quality and an original profile. I am 20 years old and it suits me perfectly. For me, it is a solid buy if you like those notes. Do not let the classists fool you who only know how to wear bombastic ambroxan scents.
Buy blindly based on the positive reviews. Tested on skin: after the alcohol and pepper blast of the opening (I did not detect the bergamot), I thought I had made a mistake, luckily it has a good price. But after drying down… I was not mistaken at all. How it evolves on skin is outstanding: cinnamon, leather, incense, wood… (I do not know if synthetic, I leave that to those who pay 200 quid for perfumes)… I love it. This ‘cheap cologne’ overtakes many supposed ‘expensive perfumes’ on the right. For the price, for me, it is a 9 out of 10.
It is extremely heavy and very sweet. Alcoholic and spiced. I would not recommend it for anyone under 50.
It has finally run out and I thought I would review it after so much use. For the 25-30 USD you pay, it delivers so much. It is a mature scent, not for children (though it depends on your personality), so I would not recommend buying it blindly if you do not like alcoholic, woody, incense, and leather notes (I feel the leather is complementary). The longevity is 9 to 10 hours on my skin and it shows. You cannot ask for more from a fragrance in this price range. Best wishes.
Definitely this perfume and I have started a carnal passion… It’s an exquisite blend between my beloved HABIT ROUGE GUERLAIN and BLACK PHANTOM BY KILIAN, so divine it became on my skin. I’m going for more bottles of this beauty!
Oh my goodness, this has left me absolutely breathless! It smells of sin, sensuality, and pure elegance. Incense, leather, rum, a sharp note of pepper with patchouli and smoky woods… It is divinely delicious and of majestic splendour. They gifted it to me for my birthday and I see on Amazon it isn’t that expensive; I’m going to buy more bottles of this treasure. It has won me over; it is an intoxicating passion.
Liquor and leather. I define everything with those two words. It’s one of the few perfumes I associate with an older person, although it could suit a young person with a bohemian personality who wants to smell of the alcohol from their nights out. I don’t feel it’s elegant as they say, more relaxed for nostalgics. It would look good on a man over 40; on a 25-year-old it smells of depression and isolation. Wish The Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse smelled like this. In terms of longevity it’s 10/10, considering the price. It costs nothing, performs better than many current designers with the same quality. If it’s not to your liking, it’s not a great financial loss. Try it.
It’s a perfume from my dad, very good value for the price. You can feel that rum with the pepper that makes it masculine and sets it apart from the ordinary. I wouldn’t wear it myself because I’m too young, but between 30 and 100 it’s brilliant. With my basic sense of smell, it seemed like fuel, but much more elegant and rich.
From a fresh spray of a new bottle: a little sweet, but not like candy, it has leather and a dry-down similar to Kenzo Homme Santal Marin. For just 30 dollars, it’s a 10/10, for people who wear leather jackets. Very good and the presentation too. It reminds me of The One EDP without grapefruit or ginger, but with leather, and dries almost exactly like Diavlo by Antonio Banderas. After 8 hours it smells like the spiced opening of Le Male Parfum and very faintly of Man in Black. Total surprise; although I’m not a fan of spicy scents, I prefer this to the pepper and cumin smell of Diavlo (resinous and dirty). The second and third day, I like it on my skin. But those who received a spray noticed the trail smells like Jet (an energy drink in Costa Rica), very curious in the first few minutes.
Bentley for Men Intense: What an imposing and powerful fragrance. It’s not youthful masculinity, but the presence of a boss, executive, or capo. It makes it clear it’s made to stand out with authority. It’s manly, heavy, and deep. It lasts over 10 hours on skin with intense projection. The trail is enveloping and elegant. Note: if you’re not used to powerful scents, it might be too strong. It has light rum, boozy warmth, dry woods, fresh tobacco air, incense, and leather. In the opening, there’s laurel, pepper, and bergamot to soften it, but it’s not fresh. It’s rich, original, and has little competition at this price. Perfect for formal events where you want to impose and be unique. Bentley isn’t popular, so it’s unlikely anyone else will use it; that gives it exclusivity. Don’t buy it blindly, try it first or ask for a decant. The price is a bargain; it looks like niche at designer prices. It’s one of the best luxury low-cost options. Audacious, serious, and majestic. Scent: 8.7, Originality: 10, Trail: 7.7, Projection: 10, Longevity: 9.3, Versatility: 6.5, Formality: Elegant/Formal.
Much less violent and rancid than people say. It’s a great fragrance, spiced and boozy, perfect for cool nights. It’s a warm, sweet, and intense scent, masculine in the classic sense. Like those from Lalique, at 20€ with a thick bottle and metal cap, it shows that the problem isn’t whether it’s Arabic or local, but that big conglomerates ruin art. Give it a chance; there is great quality for the price.
BENTLEY FOR MEN INTENSE: It didn’t seem as aggressive as the experts claimed. It’s an excellent perfume. The opening smells of spiced aged rum, so real it feels like you’ve just had a drink; it lasts a few minutes. Then come the spices, moving to a resinous, woody, and aromatic part. Masculine, perhaps for those over 20-25 if you dress semi-formal or formal. It commands attention without being invasive, medium trail, and 2-3 hours duration on skin, more than 8 on clothes. Excellent value for money. Costs around 30-35 USD for 100 ml (sometimes more, but there’s usually an offer).
Ideal for a shirt in muted colours and a black leather jacket. The smell of the jacket mixed with liquor, incense, and spices makes it a work of art. Sometimes, days after wearing it, I leave the jacket on the chair and I can still smell it sweetly. It works brilliantly in temperate, sunny, or rainy climates; the trail follows you like a flask. Avoid it in heat because it becomes oppressive. It’s an excellent purchase for a 23-year-old with personality. Use five sprays: two on the neck, one at the nape, and two on the chest under the jacket.
Right, enough already. This cologne is a disaster. The scent comes out all muddled, dirty, and alcoholic; it smells of grime, nothing elegant or respectable. The bottle and liquid are nice, but the smell is vulgar, like a drunk on the street with indecipherable notes. It’s not for anyone, certainly not for serious men or women. Please lower the price on this farce.
I have a 2019 bottle nearly finished and have already bought another. Code E0E25. Although the scent is the same, the performance is not a shadow of what it used to be. I’ll leave it for a couple of months to rest and see if it improves.
Incredible how it has changed over time. I never detected that rum; at first it was 1990s furniture wood, I thought of giving it to my father. Then I noticed cinnamon, light incense, geranium and black pepper. Now that it has stabilised, it smells harmonious, spicy and fresh, transforming into woody, floral and finishing with a delicious patchouli. I didn’t buy the Montblanc for that patchouli, it’s very similar. I’ve gone from ‘I don’t like it’ to ‘I love it’. Let it oxidise for a few months, for the price the wait is worth it. The performance is impeccable.
Very good. Smell of rum/whisky, very masculine, good longevity, elegant and winter-appropriate. Good price, it’s a good fragrance, although a bit mature.
Perhaps the one I’ve worn most, it was my signature for a year. It’s dry, smoky, with a just-right sweet base to balance the alcohol and leather. Super masculine, a proper stinker. As Jeremy Fragrance would say, it smells like James Bond in Casino Royale.
Smells old, I don’t use it nor do I recommend it. The dry down is more tolerable and elegant due to the woody notes, but it still sounds like a grandpa. Very long-lasting and projects well, impressive for the price.
Smells like liquor, whisky or rum, vanilla. Masculine and with lots of personality. I love it. I think I’ve said here before that with well-tailored clothes and this B for Men Intense, I feel like James Bond. Yes or no, it’s for winter.
Top fragrance, the rum note at the opening is elegant, not alcoholic, evolves smoothly and pleasantly. Safe blind buy if you like the style, only that the projection lasts me a little over an hour and then it stays on the skin.
Hello. I picked up this Bentley for Men Intense EDP last in 2025 for around €25-29 online, though with patience you can find it for €20. My rating matches the price. It smells like liquor, incense with a touch of animalic. That moment where your taste buds shrink upon smelling it comes from that marked labdanum (which although not always stated, is there, mixed with others). As a scent, I like it, but it’s not groundbreaking. It’s very situational; many times, when I want to put on a scent, I end up choosing another from my collection. On my dry skin it lasts 6-7 hours, on clothes it lasts all day. It’s more for night and cold. Fragrances with this alcoholic base work better at night; during the day they tend to clash. Although it can be worn with a suit, I imagine it more with a leather jacket (always well-dressed, of course). It has noticeable but non-invasive sillage. Watch out with sprays, better not to overdo it. For the price, it’s worth having in a collection.
We’re going off on a tangent with those reviewers who put it on a pedestal as a beast of a value-for-money deal. Look, my bottle is from 2021 (it’s been five years) and it smells like a bonbon: warm, spicy with that old-world touch that I love. You can tell it has a ‘niche’ composition, with allspice, herbal and spicy notes, as if you boiled liquor, laurel and pepper in a pot and then let it cool in an old wardrobe. What shocks me most is that no one mentions how old it smells. If you get close, it smells like Floyd or an expensive version of Dandy Man. And I ask you: if influencers promoted it as the best, no one would buy it.
I didn’t like it, although I admit I usually buy blind. It smells very stately, mature and too much like incense. It has the air of Exclusif Tabac and many Arabian perfume vibes. I wouldn’t recommend a blind buy under any circumstances. The bottle is beautiful and the quality is good, but the scent is just not my style.
Small bottle but huge presence. Deep, masculine and full of character. For €20, you get longevity, projection and sillage that would make many €100 fragrances jealous. It’s a boss at the highest level: smoky, spicy with a musk note. It shares 80% of the vibes of Gentleman Reserve Privée, same DNA, but Givenchy smells more like tobacco while this is more smoky. Not a blind buy or a joke. Pure anti-NPC fragrance. If you’re a vanilla and tonka bean gourmand hooligan, this isn’t for you. As happy as a parrot in a Bentley Intense. Repeat purchase.
