  I liked it but was also disappointed. It’s not a bad perfume, but I think Diptyque played a poor hand here. The first few seconds are rich, with that clean, woody white paper typical of the house, with a hint of coffee. Soon it shifts to a pulpy fruit note, nothing juicy or tropical, like ripe fig or strawberry, over a creamy sandalwood base that no longer sounds as original; indeed, it’s their take on Gris Charnel. If they charge that price for the collection, it’s definitely a misfired launch. At its normal EDT price, perhaps it would pass, or if sold in a 50ml bottle, but to sell this in a single 100ml format that resembles so many other scents, for me, no. It’s not bad, but everything surrounding it is wrong. Miao

  On my skin, it begins as a creamy, spiced coffee scent that darkens, almost chocolatey. The heart offers a juicy, fruity touch, but not figgy; rather, something sweeter like a date, which fades quickly within an hour. The dry down is primarily creamy sandalwood blended with exquisite tonka bean. I see it as unisex and versatile, perfect for autumn. The downside is that on my skin it lasts around four hours with soft projection and trail, so for the price, it falls short. I adored it, yet I can’t justify the cost.
