Eau Duelle is a spiced and sweet vanilla, not sugary. The ambroxan is very noticeable, giving it a bitter, resinous, and herbal base that doesn’t quite convince me. It’s a pleasant and simple scent, unisex, ideal for cold climates day or night. The projection is good, not invasive, and it lasts 10 hours with 4 sprays. It could be good for someone who knows how to wear it, but it doesn’t convey much to me. Pleasant: 6/10, Interesting: 3/10, Versatile: 8/10, Original: 5/10.
For me, Eau Duelle EDP is the perfect blend between Lune Feline and Ani. Soft, woody, spiced vanilla with medicinal and smoky touches, slightly musky and powdery. Beware of the ambroxan; it’s noticeable. It’s dry, airy, with subtle warmth and nothing cloying. The trail is medium and lasts about 6 hours, decent performance. I won’t add it to my collection just now, but among the ones mentioned, it would be the first I’d buy for the scent and price.
For me, Eau Duelle EDP is the perfect middle ground between Atelier des Ors’ Lune Feline and Nishane’s Ani. It’s a woody, spiced vanilla with medicinal and smoky nuances, lightly musky and powdery. Be warned: if you dislike or are sensitive to ambroxan, heed this advice as it’s very prominent. It’s a dry, airy scent with a subtle warmth and a wonderful blend where no single note dominates. Very comforting and mysterious, never cloying or overwhelming; everything is delicately balanced. The trail is moderate and longevity around six hours, which is decent performance. I won’t be adding it to my collection just yet, but among the ones I mentioned, it would be the first I’d buy for the scent itself, since it lasts as long as the others and is the most affordable.
For me, vanilla usually hits the mark, but this disappointed me at first. It didn’t smell like vanilla at all when I sprayed it; I was left wondering what was going on until I started walking and noticed the scent strongly. It smells good and makes you want to keep smelling it, but it’s very dry and not very sweet, leaning masculine. I advise trying it first. For a fresh vanilla, I prefer Gentle Fluidity Gold, as this one is warm due to its dryness and Diptyque prices seem exorbitant.
For me, with vanilla being a definite hit, this one disappointed. It didn’t smell of vanilla at all initially; I was left wondering what was going on until I started walking and then the scent became very prominent. It smells nice, there’s something about it that makes me want to keep sniffing, but I don’t like it as much as other perfumes because it’s very dry. It’s a very spiced and aromatic vanilla, with very little sweetness, truly unisex, even leaning towards masculine. So I advise trying it before buying. Honestly, for a fresh vanilla I prefer Gentle Fluidity Gold (Eau Duelle is too dry for my taste), plus the prices from this house seem a bit excessive.
One of the most beautiful vanillas I’ve tried, delicate and comfortable. It’s spiced, dry, and aromatic, balanced thanks to the spices. You can distinguish the vanilla, cardamom, and an ambroxan that gives it air without overwhelming. It makes those who don’t like sweet vanilla not run away. It’s perfect unisex. The performance is typical Diptyque: intimate and short, but that makes it versatile. I recommend trying it first. It seems like a second cousin of Ani, less sweet. The EDP is better than the EDT. Aromatically brilliant, but the poor performance is a pity.

Perfect balance; it makes those who don’t like sweet vanilla not run away. It’s unisex, perfect. What a wonder! I discovered it on a winter trip to Annecy and brought it home. I used to spray it all day and loved it. After years and several empty bottles, I still use it all year round and it transports me back to those days of olfactory infatuation. It’s incredibly tenacious on clothes and is in my top 3 of all time. Thank you for existing, Eau Duelle.
It’s true, it’s a painful water. Considering the cost and how long it lasts! Oh! Duelle, Duelle much. It smells like baby vanilla, like Johnson’s Baby cologne, cold and dietetic. No one gets me out of my head thinking it has neroli or petitgrain. It’s rich, delicate… too delicate.
The best vanilla I’ve tried, seriously underrated. It doesn’t smell like classic butter cake; it’s stronger and earthier.
I was looking for the perfect vanilla and found it in Eau Duelle. Diptyque always has its unique touch. Here there are no cloying desserts, but rather a smoky, green, and spiced vanilla with character. It reminds me of the Silk Road with its spices and incense, or rather, a cosy coffee with chai by the fire. Although the description is brief, the quality speaks for itself. I wouldn’t recommend buying blindly if you don’t like green vanillas or incense. It’s the elegant cousin of Babycat, much more tranquil. On my skin it lasts 8-12 hours, with an intimate trail that makes you mysterious when you move.
My first Diptyque, I picked it up in Rome on our honeymoon and it always brings those romantic Italian days back to me. It smells of vanilla and incense, warm and mysterious. I didn’t know I loved vanilla until this delicate scent stole my heart; it’s perfect for cold days or special occasions.
