  It smells of roses! It’s super feminine, soft and delicate, with a sophisticated and elegant air, very personal and pleasant. It reminds me so much of Elizabeth Arden’s True Love, the one that’s no longer sold and which I adored. 8 out of 10.

  In this fragrance, everything revolves around the rose, the absolute protagonist. It’s almost like rose water, but the citrus notes give it a youthful touch and the musk provides a slightly creamy base so the florals don’t get lost. I don’t perceive the patchouli. I bought it online ordering the Rose Essentielle EDP but received this EDT instead. However, I have no complaints because I appreciate that this version I can apply without worrying about suffocating everyone, as it’s very light, almost delicate… Really very pleasant. I hope someone who has tried both versions posts a review soon to compare, because I have the feeling that if I like this EDT, I’ll adore the EDP.

  I bought the tester thinking it would be the same as Splendida Rose Rose, which didn’t convince me because it was too repetitive and expensive. But this Rose Essentielle is a different story. At first, it smells of crunchy roses and violets, with a bitter touch reminiscent of infused tea. Then the intensity drops and the roses become dark and mature, like they’ve been soaked in syrup. The sandalwood is integrated without dominating and I don’t notice the patchouli, although perhaps it gives that dark, balsamic background like Flowerbomb. It’s a different rose proposal, elegant yet informal, with serious violets and not green ones. It doesn’t have much projection, it’s a close-skin scent, but it’s a delight.

  I wrote a review for Rose Essentielle, but a friend told me the tester was a different scent. The box says the classic, but the bottle below reads ‘l’eau de toilette rosée’… All the reviews are based on notes read beforehand. A few days ago the tester I bought arrived. I saw people voting for similarity with Splendida Rose Rose and feared finding something too soapy. I don’t like that Splendida; it seems repetitive for the price, with young, fresh roses… Anyway. It turns out this Rose Essentielle doesn’t resemble it much. The opening is good: it’s floral (roses and violets), with a certain roughness, almost crunchy, and a nearly bitter astringency that suggests the violets. I almost smell infused tea there. Then the intensity drops and well-matured, dark, dense roses emerge. I suppose the sandalwood is very integrated because it doesn’t dominate. I don’t smell the patchouli at all… Now that I think about it, perhaps the patchouli is what gives that dark, balsamic effect like Flowerbomb (but not sugary). I love it; it’s a very different rose proposal. Its particularity is the serious violets, not so sparkly or green. It’s elegant yet informal. Not much projection, it’s a close-skin scent. A delight!

  I’m not a fan of rose perfumes. My boyfriend adores them, so I gave this a chance. At first, the bergamot is noticeable and I love it, because it’s not that typical cloying, old-fashioned rose. Then comes the herbal rose, which I like; it’s a rose without added sweetness. Finally, the patchouli with a touch of incense appears, giving it maturity. I adored it. It projects quite a bit without being overwhelming. Perfect for hot days. I keep reapplying because I enjoy the blend of notes. Finally, a rose I can actually wear.

  It’s a tribute to tender, innocent roses, alive with dew and leaves, releasing their scent at the first ray of sunlight. Upon application, vibrant citrus notes pass quickly before a triumphant bouquet of roses takes centre stage, many still in bud form and super fragrant. Interspersed are slightly blurred violets and jasmine, with green, mildly astringent touches and fruity accords that sweeten the blend. Then comes the musk, which cleanses the scent and removes the wild edge. It has body but remains light and gentle, like a pink tulle moving in the wind. A modern, natural, green, sweet and jovial rose. On my skin it lasts about six hours with moderate sillage. Ideal for everyday wear, though I think it shines brightest in spring.

  It’s a tribute to living roses, with dew and leaves that scent when the sun touches their petals. Upon application, you feel fleeting citrus notes, then a huge bouquet of button roses, very fragrant, takes over. Among them are blurred violets and jasmine, with green and slightly astringent touches. Fruity accords sweeten these young roses and a musk appears that cleanses them, removing the wildness. It’s a perfume with body but light and gentle, like a pink tulle moving in the wind. It lasts about six hours on my skin with moderate sillage. It’s perfect for everyday wear, though I think it would shine more in spring.
