Descripción
DKNY Golden Delicious by Donna Karan is a musky floral woody fragrance for women. Launched in 2010, this composition features red apple, African orange blossom, and plum in its top notes. The heart reveals the sweet-scented lily of the valley, also known as convolvulus, alongside lily, orchid, and rose. To finish, the base offers a warm blend of sandalwood, musk, and teakwood.

In my opinion, this is the best version of Donna Karan’s apple scents… in fact, it seems to be the only one that truly smells of apple 😀 It has the best longevity and trail… overall, the most pleasant. I think the plum, teak wood, orange blossom… have enriched it positively, giving it (finally!) a touch of distinction to the apple collection.
Among the flankers of the famous Be Delicious, I have two favourites: the Fresh Blossom (pink) and this one. Thanks to an exchange with Selene Hdez, I have this perfume which I liked very much because it isn’t as sweet as the original Be Delicious (green), which nearly saturated me. Golden Delicious feels more woody, but not less feminine. It’s like a more serious and discreet version of the original. The note I distinguish most is the red apple; the floral blend is also noticeable and very fresh. Finally, I also detect a ‘creamy’ touch, presumably from the musk and sandalwood. I consider the longevity and trail to be moderate. I think this is one of those perfumes that won’t offend anyone and will be pleasant to most. I believe it’s better for use on a fresh day, but as can be seen in previous reviews according to the season bars below the description on Fragrantica, Golden Delicious is quite versatile and could probably be worn in almost any climate.
Among the flankers of the famous Be Delicious, my favourites are the Fresh Blossom and this one. Thanks to an exchange with Selene Hdez, I have it and I loved it because it isn’t as sweet as the original green one, which saturated me. Golden Delicious smells more woody, but without losing femininity; it’s the most serious and discreet version. The red apple note stands out, along with a very fresh floral and a creamy touch from the musk and sandalwood. Longevity and trail are moderate. I think it doesn’t offend anyone and pleases most. Ideal for fresh days, but as Fragrantica reviews say, it’s super versatile and suits almost any climate.
It’s like the Be Delicious but more reserved. Although Azuriiita and Annabel are good, I still prefer the original for its cheerfulness and energy.
Similar to the Be Delicious but more conservative than the latter. Unlike Azuriiita and Annabel, I stick with the Be Delicious, which I find more cheerful and energising.
This perfume is no exception to its other versions. It’s a flat, simple, overly sweet scent; pleasant but lacking charm or personality. It has no soul, it’s too modern, and I can hardly justify it for very young girls just starting to explore the luxurious world of perfumery. These are commercial scents, heavily marketed. For novices.
Incredible, just as good as the Be Delicious. Although DKNY has many ‘Delicious’ scents, the originals are unforgettable. Soft and sweet at the same time. I absolutely love it!
Just as incredible as the Be Delicious. Although DKNY has a myriad of ‘Delicious’ scents, I believe the originals are memorable and characterful. Soft and sweet at the same time. I absolutely love it!
Very rich and fresh, very pleasant. The problem is it lasts very little and has no projection. I love it and it suits me well. It reminds me a bit of L’eau by Kenzo.
Unlike other flankers, this is more conservative without losing its apple note. I think it was made for more formal occasions within its category. Excellent perfume, I like it and it suits me better in autumn. Donna Karan knows what she’s doing. Highly recommended.
Another Delicious gem. I don’t know what’s special about this line that suits my skin so well and lasts so long. Fresh, cheerful and feminine.
I bought it thinking it was the green apple Delicious and realised it wasn’t that. It’s quite similar, though I find it softer and less long-lasting. Overall, it’s fresh and smells clean; what stands out most is the apple, followed by the musk at the end which gives it that clean touch.
I picked it up thinking it was the Be Delicious (green apple) and realised it wasn’t. It resembles it greatly, although this one smells softer and doesn’t last as long. Overall it’s fresh and smells clean; what stands out most is the apple, and at the end, the musk which leaves a sense of cleanliness.
A very fresh and clean fragrance. I loved it… I feel it’s the teenage sister of J’adore. It fixes well, and when I wear it to the office, people always compliment it. I would buy it again. What I don’t like is the green apple; I’ll go for the rose to see how that goes.
It’s a super fresh and clean fragrance; I loved it… I feel it’s the teenage version of Adore. It fixes very well and when I wear it at the office, people always compliment it. I would buy it again; the only thing I don’t like is the green apple, so I’ll go for the pink apple to see how it goes.
I bought it thinking it was the original Delicious. With low expectations, I tried it and what a surprise: it’s very similar to J’adore, but I think this is richer and more wearable. It’s a fine, sophisticated perfume and super long-lasting, lasting easily 8 hours on my skin, and nothing lasts that long for me! When I wear it, people ask what I’m wearing. It’s versatile, suitable for any occasion. Longevity 9/10, Scent 10/10. I would buy it again.
Very nice scent, reminds me of J’adore but fresher. When I applied it to my skin, I loved it, but it leaves almost no trail; that’s the only thing I didn’t like. The apple note is very noticeable.
Something strange happens with this fragrance… I buy it several times a week because it’s not intrusive, yet it lasts for days on clothes, even until the next wash, whereas on my skin it lasts about two hours and leaves almost no trail. Moreover, it smells different every time I buy it. Do they renew it or change the formula by country? It’s a mystery. The bottle is the same, but the perfume isn’t. I used to check the batch for the date, and it’s still different. It’s peculiar. It’s great for daily wear, but if you’re looking for something potent, you’ll be disappointed. It has the DNA of DKNY apples but is more sophisticated, less common and less sweet. Ideal for the office, classes or everyday use. No age limit. I like it, but it’s not my favourite.
My mum gifted me this a year ago, but I had to unscrew the cap, which I didn’t like as it previously came with a hole. However, it smells exactly as it did when I bought it years ago. It has nothing to do with J’adore; this is less intrusive, sweeter and fresher. I’ve received many compliments. The downside is it doesn’t last, but I have a special fondness for it. It’s versatile, suitable for any occasion, more casual yet sophisticated. I adore this apple scent and will try the rest of the range.
I had such high hopes… oh no! What a disappointment. At first, it smells like a household air freshener, and then, after a while, like that 90s lip balm my mum used to give me in Avon catalogues. I wouldn’t recommend it as a gift; I loved nothing about it.
