Descripción

In Red by Armand Basi is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2003, this composition was created by perfumer Alberto Morillas. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of bergamot, ginger, mandarin and cardamom; a floral and spicy heart featuring lily of the valley, jasmine, violet leaves, pink pepper, rose, peony and blackcurrant; and a warm, woody base that combines woods, oakmoss, white musk, rosewood, amber, vanilla and praline.

  • I owned this perfume and it was very easy to wear, a fresh and sweet scent that doesn’t overwhelm; it’s brilliant both day and night. In my case, it didn’t last long, but that’s because I don’t have great longevity on my skin. I recommend it.

  • I tried it and it’s super easy to wear; a fresh, sweet scent that isn’t overpowering, great for both day and night. In my case, it didn’t last long, but that’s because I don’t have much longevity on my skin. I’d recommend it.

  • To be honest, since I first smelled it, it hasn’t left my mind… It’s perfect, a very pleasant fragrance for any occasion, neither annoying nor showy, but rather soft and tasteful. I prefer the eau de parfum version as it has better longevity; the bottle is in Venetian red. I recommend it as an excellent option.

  • Truthfully, since I first smelled it, it hasn’t left my head… It’s a perfect perfume, with a very pleasant fragrance suitable for any occasion; it’s in no way annoying or showy, but soft and tasteful at the same time. I prefer the Eau de Parfum version as it has better longevity; the bottle is Venetian red. I recommend it as an excellent option.

  • I bought it blindly based on the notes I read, as I like them all. It’s a contradictory scent: fresh and sparkling from the bergamot and mandarin, then spicy, warm and cinnamon-like from the ginger and cardamom. The lily and jasmine add a floral touch, while a clean, woody base comes from the musk and oakmoss. It dominates spring and autumn. I have the EDP; the bottle is entirely garnet, a colour that doesn’t quite suit the fragrance, which is more amber or orange. It’s not a passionate or sexy perfume. The trail and longevity are very weak; it feels more like an EDT for everyday use. Very soft and nothing aggressive. It reminds me a lot of the 4711 Mandarin Cardamom, but this has more body and lasts longer than In Red. Still, In Red is more complex; the ginger and floral and woody notes make the difference. I’m not regretting it; it’s a beautiful aroma, but right on the skin, for personal enjoyment.

  • I bought it blind based on the notes I read, as I like them all. It’s a contradictory scent: fresh and sparkling due to the bergamot and tangerine, then spicy, warm, and cardamomy from the ginger and cardamom. The lily and jasmine give it a floral touch, with a clean and woody base from musk and oakmoss. Spring and autumn suit it best. I have the EDP, whose bottle is garnet, a colour I don’t associate with the fragrance; it would be more amber or orange. It’s not a passionate or sexy perfume. • This fragrance is truly beautiful; citrusy, floral, slightly spicy, with woody notes and very warm, spectacular for any season, especially during the day. Clean and very comfortable. The packaging is also exquisitely delicate; I was drawn to the minimalist Asian design and the colours… I bought it as soon as it was released and it was never imported to the country again, a pity, but luckily I had the chance to discover it.

An interesting fragrance, both in terms of quality and price. It’s persistent, delicate, and fresh. The notes that stand out most are the citrus and white flowers. It’s true that it works day and night; on my skin, it’s brilliant in warm seasons during the day. It’s hard to find in South America; I almost always find it in a sale, only in large perfume stores.

  • Fresh, feminine and incredibly clean; it gives such a pleasant sensation that I find myself smelling my wrists constantly… I just say that I love everything Morillas creates. It’s 4pm, I applied it at 8am, and it’s still right on the skin—absolutely incredible.

  • Fresh, feminine, clean, with a pleasant sensation that makes me want to sniff my wrists constantly… I can only say I love everything Morillas creates. It’s 4pm, I put on the EDT at 8am, and it still lingers close to the skin.

  • Sometimes I buy blind, and in this case, if I’d read the notes in 2003, I wouldn’t have bought it; I no longer trust the description alone as it gives the wrong idea, and then you smell it and it’s not what you expected. I smelled it that year and bought it instantly. It was one of the most wearable I owned; it never got tiring. It’s super versatile and not expensive, which is always a must.

  • Arasdepiel

Beautiful perfume, slightly spicy, interesting, with a citrus opening that makes it very fresh and super pleasant for any time of day. I bought it blind because my grandmother smelled it and loved it, and I adore it too; I think it’s one of those everyone likes, but it has an original touch. It’s for a lovely, cheerful woman. P.S.: It reminds me of Kenzo L’Eau and Ralph Lauren Cool, each with its own style, but they bring strong memories; between In Red and Kenzo, they also seem similar due to that spicy touch, though In Red is more floral and citrusy while Kenzo is more aquatic.

  • Smells lovely, is super wearable, and people ask about it; in fact, I gifted it once and they said they devoured it. I’ve been using it for 20 years and buy it every time I see it as it’s hard to find now. The other day I tried Custo Barcelona’s Enjoy and it seemed very similar, so it’s a good alternative if you can’t find it.

  • Smells fantastic, giving a total clean sensation without that heavy musk; instead, it features woods and white flowers that suit everyone. It’s completely unobtrusive and works in any season, age, or gender. The creator is brilliant and maintains the brand’s DNA reminiscent of Calvin Klein. While it does repeat a bit, it’s the house’s signature and sounds right. The quality is top-notch and the price is a bargain, almost free compared to newer creations, isn’t it?
