Descripción
Island Vanilla Dunes by Khadlaj Perfumes is an oriental vanilla creation designed for men and women. This fragrance, newly launched in 2025, opens with a vibrant top note of vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom and bergamot. At its heart, the composition is softened by the presence of orange blossom and guaiac wood, while the base reveals a warm and persistent sequence of praline, amber and musk.

Is it me, or does it remind me of Armani Emporio Intensely? I don’t own it, but as soon as I tested it, that fragrance came to mind.
I’m not usually a fan of sweet perfumes, but I tried this one and have no regrets. It smells rich—sweet, but not cloying. I’ve been told it’s similar to Liquid Brun; I tested it and they are alike, though this version is more appealing and enjoyable to wear. Atomiser: 10/10, scent: 10/10. Longevity: to be confirmed, still checking. Sillage at arm’s length: 8/10.
I bought a decant to try it. As for longevity, projection, and sillage, I don’t know how it will behave on my skin because I haven’t tested it yet, but in the opening, it seems very similar to Liquid Brun.
What a pleasant scent, I received it yesterday and still need to know it better, but initially, it’s a resounding yes. Here, the sweetness is more subdued than in Althair or Liquid Brun, plus it has a marked mentholated note in the opening, which I suppose comes from the cardamom, making it easier to wear in warm climates where LB and Althair would never be an option. Mention of the brutal longevity: I put on two sprays at 8 PM and today at 11 AM I can still detect vanilla on my skin; it’s a marvel how long it lasts.
It’s a warm and spiced fragrance; I sense something similar to Azzaro MWT Parfum. It’s a sweet and clean scent, not so cloying that I consider it suitable for daily wear. Regarding longevity, it’s average, not beast mode; I perceive a maximum of six hours. The sillage is moderate, noticeable within a range of about a metre. In conclusion, for its price, it’s worth it; I acquired it for around twenty-two dollars and the value for money is good.
This is a warm, spiced fragrance that feels reminiscent of Azzaro MWT Parfum. It’s a sweet, clean scent without being cloying, making it suitable for daily wear. Regarding longevity, it’s average; it’s not a beast mode, and I perceive a maximum of six hours. The sillage is moderate, noticeable at about a metre. In conclusion, it’s worth it for the price; I bought it for around $22, offering good value for money.
What a lovely scent. I received it yesterday and haven’t fully explored it yet, but it’s an emphatic yes. The sweetness is subtler than in Althair and Liquid Brun, plus there’s a distinct menthol note at first, likely from the cardamom, making it easier to wear in warm climates where LB and Althair wouldn’t be options. The longevity is brutal: two sprays at 8 PM and I can still smell vanilla on my skin at 11 AM today, it’s astonishing how long it lasts.
I bought this fragrance blind and it smells lovely; I’ll be wearing it tomorrow and will share a full review in a few weeks or months. I purchased it for $20 in Chile. Edit: I’m currently waiting to buy the Island Khadja, the dupe for Le Beau.
Well, after weeks of use, this perfume is only suitable for night or cold weather: it’s a rich cinnamon, vanilla, and praline scent. I haven’t smelled Marly’s Althair, but starting with the bottle and box: the box is normal cardboard, but the bottle is very pretty. The longevity is a beast, lasting me twelve hours, and the projection is high. I own the Bourbon but prefer this one. I bought it by chance because the Le Beau dupe for Island Khadja was out of stock.
I bought this perfume blind and it smells delicious; I’ll use it tomorrow. In a few months or weeks, I’ll give the full review. I bought it for twenty dollars in Chile. Note: I’m waiting to buy the dupe for Le Beau’s Island Khadja.
Greetings! I came back from holiday in Spain and brought only this one (due to logistics, returning loaded with perfumes…). Bingo! I’ve already reviewed it on YouTube, but without a doubt, I’ll now test it in its best habitat, with temperatures between 9 and 16 degrees. Amazing performance! I highly recommend it, but a warning: its sillage is beast mode; four sprays are more than enough for eight hours. It can become overwhelming for others as much as for us.
It’s a very good dupe of Marly’s Althaïr. The projection isn’t strong, but I’ve received compliments; it’s a good alternative for a fair price. The longevity is quite good, lasting about seven or eight hours without issues. RECOMMENDED.
It’s a good dupe for Althaïr by Marly. The projection isn’t particularly strong, but I’ve received compliments; it’s a solid alternative for the price. The longevity is quite good, lasting around 7 to 8 hours without issue. Recommended.
Fantastic fragrance. It smells incredible and the similarity to Althaïr is between 85 and 90%. I’m very happy; every time I wear it, people ask who smells like that or comment that it smells too good. Friends and acquaintances agree, so I’m satisfied. It met its objective, and the best part is its absurd price: around twenty-five dollars.
I bought it recently and was pleasantly surprised. It’s very cheap, much cheaper than its rival (Liquid Brun). It resembles PDM Althair quite closely, it’s not identical, but it’s a good dupe. It’s an extract, lasts a good while (8-9 hours), and projects well without being a beast. It’s sweet, spiced, and vanilla-forward, perfect for winters or cool evenings. Highly recommended if you enjoy vanilla and sweet scents.
Total honesty for Althair fans: Vanilla Dunes hits the DNA, though the opening is slightly synthetic and dries down well after about 10 minutes. The downside is that it doesn’t last or project much; to be fair, it smells more like a cheap dupe than Althair (think Asten or Alhambra). Performance-wise: Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Projection 5/10, and Sillage 6/10. In short, don’t waste your money; spend those extra six dollars on Liquid Brun, which is a 9/10 in every way.
An honest review from an Althair lover. Vanilla Dunes captures the DNA well, though the opening is slightly synthetic; however, after ten minutes it dries down nicely. It doesn’t last long, projects little, and to be fair, it reminds me more of Althair’s budget dupes (such as Atelier de Asten or Victorioso Fearless by Alhambra). Ratings: Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Projection 5/10, Sillage 6/10. In short: don’t spend the extra $6 on this; instead, invest in Liquid Brun, which scores 9/10 across the board.
