Descripción

Mercedes-Benz Club Black Eau de Toilette, from the house of Mercedes-Benz, is an oriental fragrance creation launched in 2017. Composed by perfumer Olivier Cresp, it opens with a bergamot top note that introduces a vibrant citrus touch. The heart reveals an evocative combination of incense and jasmine, adding depth and floral character. In the base, the structure settles on notes of vanilla, benzoin, woods, and ambroxan, closing the olfactive pyramid with a warm, woody persistence.

Smells… well, but that’s all. It’s as if you’d splash some Starbucks vanilla syrup into your latte or cold brew.

  • Carlos Cardozo

This is pure vanilla. On application, it reminded me a bit of Arabian Tonka, but as it dries down, it takes another path. It’s a gourmand scent, practically linear, with a noticeable floral note. It could be unisex and is ideal for dates because its strength lies in close proximity. It’s for personal enjoyment or wearing with your partner.

  • coloccinix

It’s a perfume that delivers far too much for its price. Its only sin is being Mercedes Benz. Just use it in the coldest weather possible. Greetings from Honduras.

  • Maury1820

I love it, pity it doesn’t project much, but the scent is exquisite. Lasts well on skin and clothes, it just needs more projection.

  • Very good scent, a sweet one that doesn’t bother and is pleasing to those nearby. The vanilla and woods work well together, and the smoky touch makes it very masculine. Excellent longevity and good projection for the first hour and a half. It really comes into its own at night and in the cold. Rating: 8.3/10.

  • It’s curious to see how a car brand has established itself in fragrances; for me, it’s a leader in quality alongside Bentley and some Ferrari pieces. There are many vanilla scents, but creating an original masculine-unisex fragrance is difficult and Club Black does it well. The opening has bergamot, but in small doses; what dominates is a dense, elegant sweetness. It’s a dark vanilla, slightly spiced, with a mineral touch from the ambroxan that gives it freshness. It’s a highlight: complex but not confusing, a clear declaration of being sweet, spiced, woody and elegant. Ideal for the evening; if you spray seven or eight times and lose sight of your partner in a club, just follow their scent and they’ll find you. Suitable for a wide range, it dances between woody, powdery and sweet oriental with an unusual performance. Remember that attitude matters more than age. Approved.

  • As a perfume novice, this is my go-to. I bought it blind and it’s wonderful. I know nothing about fragrances, but to my nose, it smells like that vanilla and iris note from the Givenchy Gentleman EDP my dad used to keep hidden. It’s not the same, but it has that same vibe. It’s sweet but not cloying, elegant and flirtatious. The projection is decent, it’s affordable and lasts quite a while. Wear it at night or in cold weather, just two or three sprays because if you overdo it, it fatigues the senses, although you’ll smell it all day long, hehe.

The perfect scent for an intimate date, where you know you’re about to step up a gear. No need to say more.

  • Smells lovely and lasts about six hours on my skin. I absolutely love it. If you’re not a fan of sweet fragrances, this isn’t for you.

  • nicoolas.skk

It strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and freshness: the citrus opening invites you to try it, but if you linger just a minute longer, it evolves into an addictive vanilla. It’s easy to wear, I’d recommend it for autumn and winter, though it works whenever it’s night-time.

  • Very good fragrance in terms of scent and performance. Ideal for autumn or winter nights; in temperate climates, only for a cool spring evening. Slightly citrusy opening, with the vanilla and incense clearly noticeable throughout its development. A subtle incense that adds darkness. Although it is for men, a woman could wear it without hesitation. I was pleasantly surprised. Those interested should not hesitate to buy it. Blind buy highly recommended 100%.

  • jose_rafael98

Very good fragrance, lasting over 10 hours. Very sweet and entirely vanilla-based. It’s the first strong vanilla that doesn’t bother my nose. I think men and women can wear it; the compliments don’t keep you waiting.

  • Orlandoperfumesman

To my taste, it is sweet, addictive, delicious, loud, and bright. Ideal for parties, spectacular. On my dry skin, it lasts about 8 hours; it projects massively for the first 3 hours without issue, then stays close but perceptible. On clothes, it’s no contest. Buy blind: YES, IT’S A LOCK. For the price here in Colombia, it’s 10/10 compared to other more expensive ones in my collection that have laughable performance. The Mercedes Club line is high quality.

  • Just tried it in-store. Citrus opening, but nothing extraordinary. What I notice is an alcoholic aroma, very sweet, with a strong projection. It gives me vibes of Arabian Tonka (though they aren’t similar) and a caramel-like honey scent, reminiscent of Le Male Elixir. The incense isn’t very noticeable, just providing a dark base. Perhaps it’s the blend of benzoin and vanilla that gives it a gourmand touch, recalling caramel candy. It stays consistent in the dry-down, and the alcoholic note fades, which is a pity as it is well-executed. Very underrated; it was the only one that caught my attention in Duty Free. 7/10.

  • It smells elegant to me. Although it is linear and almost always the same, it is perceived as pleasant and more refined than the generic alternatives. I bought it for the price. To be fair, it doesn’t have a great sillage, but it smells very good on the skin. Let’s see how the longevity holds up. I’ve had it for a month and already don’t like it; it starts to smell like a mechanic’s garage. First time I’ve regretted a purchase like this. I wouldn’t buy it again.

First review. I was planning to sell it, but I had my eye on it anyway, so I decided to open it and wow, what an exquisite perfume. It’s like a blend of SWY Intensely, a bit of Althair by PDM, and other similar scents. The opening is fresh thanks to the bergamot, but within 5-10 minutes it transforms: the vanilla stands out with the woods, and in the trail, you occasionally catch the incense. Nothing invasive, sweet without being cloying, and creamy. Elegant 10/10, suitable for dates or special moments, not for daily wear, and best for cold weather. I didn’t get the full performance, but it is totally recommended. I bought it in Chile for 42,990 in the free zone.

  • El pseudo perfumista

Nocturnal, seductive, and confident; it gives you an extra edge for a date or a close encounter. Pleasant, sweet, and mysterious, yet refined and perfect for special occasions in cool weather. It generates curiosity in others. 110% recommended.

  • An exquisite fragrance: warm, sensual, and incredibly long-lasting. With its chocolatey, vanilla, and resinous notes from the benzoin, it reminds me a lot of the dry-down of Le Male Elixir and perhaps an Invictus Victory I can’t quite place. Wonderful if you enjoy sweet scents.

  • Diegogross21

Incredible value for money, although the hype did push the price up a bit. The scent is very vanilla-forward with subtle base notes. Not for everyday wear, but it works brilliantly for dates and nights out. Everyone I’ve let smell it has loved it. A must-have for any collection.

  • Ghalia.amatista

Absolutely love it; it’s super unisex. I tested it before buying to see how it dried down; on my skin, after two hours, only the incense remains, which I don’t enjoy, so it’s a shame. However, the opening is a total delight.

  • Hello, I’ve had it for three days, batch 4162 (10/06/2024). The scent is nice, nothing extraordinary… but it lasts as long as a sigh and the projection is non-existent. It’s money thrown away. It’s surely been super reformulated and ruined. Perhaps the old batches were good, but this one that arrived is a disaster. I wouldn’t recommend buying it at all. If I’m not mistaken, it’s the worst fragrance in my humble collection. Best regards. PS: The longevity on clothes is also terrible.

  • It’s an absolute treat. I tried it in the shopping centre and felt compelled to buy it. It smells like the Argentine dessert ‘sweet potato with chocolate’; literally within seconds, it reminds me of it 100%. It has vanilla with a rich, addictive, and gourmand incense. It doesn’t have many facets: it starts sweet and becomes sweeter and more ambered. The closest match is Invictus Victory Elixir; some say it’s a dupe for PDM Althair. The longevity is very good: it projects strongly for about three hours and then lingers for another ten. I applied it to my hand, and even after showering, I could still smell it. On clothes, it lasts easily two or three days. Recommended for winter, autumn, cold nights, or dates. It might work on a chilly spring or summer evening, but strictly forbidden in extreme heat. The atomiser and packaging are rather poor.

  • Translation of the comment below: A fragrance I’ve been waiting for a long time; it was a blind buy, so I expected a surprise. However, I was genuinely shocked that it smells like nothing. Of the four I purchased, this is the one that doesn’t smell at all. I’ll let it macerate for a few months to see if it changes and will update then.

  • Lenincitomacas

It’s my favourite perfume; it smells like an elegant man. One day I went for the Code by Armani, but the price scared me; while I was hesitating, the sales assistant applied Mercedes Benz Club Black on me, and from that moment on, I fell in love with it. It’s sweet and vanilla-infused, nothing cloying, with a super masculine touch from the incense and woods. And the best part: a super accessible price. I bought it there, and it became my favourite.

  • Ren Majestic

It’s a more refined and complete version of Zara’s Rich Warm Addictive. I don’t usually discuss notes, but here they shine through: vanilla on overdrive, followed by a boozy, ambered, incensey, and apple-like touch. It’s a sweet, nocturnal scent, slightly synthetic but well-made. It’s the sweetest, most wearable, and delicious fragrance I’ve ever worn on my skin. It’s informal, confident, and has earned me plenty of compliments. Very, very good.

  • Perla Vencis

Club Black never misses if you’re looking for vanilla. It doesn’t smell like cake, but rather a fine, delicate vanilla. The heart is jasmine with woods and benzoin wrapped in that vanilla essence. Although it’s marketed for men, I use it and enjoy it greatly in winter. My only complaint is the atomiser: it dispenses very little and tends to drip. Apart from that, the scent is spectacular.

  • It’s a sweet perfume where vanilla takes charge from start to finish; it’s the most prominent note. It smells wonderful and, besides that, has a longevity and projection that could not be better.

  • marianoargentino

Mercedes Benz Black is a superb fragrance, sweet and white floral due to the jasmine, with leather, honey, and hints of incense and citrus. All of this gives it a vanilla touch that makes it very pleasant and complete.

  • andresvz

Do not buy this blindly if you dislike the amber, warm, ambroxan-heavy scent. In my case, this was exactly the style I realised I didn’t like. The good news is I didn’t waste the bottle; I only tried a decant, which I wore no more than three times; definitely not for me.

  • AkaMikeSkrr

It’s for dates, definitely nocturnal. With a semi-formal black shirt, you look the part. Vanilla scent predominates, rich, slightly feminine but sexy on a man. The incense adds class. Scent: 8, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7, Compliments: 9, Price: 4 (better find yourself a good sweet Arab one, cheaper and equally rich). Recommended if you like vanilla-heavy perfumes. It goes with that vibe of a man dressed semi-formally, old money style.

  • It stains clothes. If you apply it on a white shirt, you look like a Dalmatian. Otherwise, an excellent fragrance.

  • A formal perfume for me, ideal for a winter birthday, outdoors at minimum. The scent is 6/10: it delivers, but it reminds me of rice pudding when it’s cooking and about to be taken off the heat. One would say it’s good, but it gives the sensation of someone who cooked and the smell stuck to them. As if you’d made fried eggs before going to a venue, but with rice pudding.

  • Rick Azafranado

It’s for a quiet but interesting man. It’s not poteeeeeente, but neither is it quiet. You notice it when people come close. The opposite sex gives you compliments in excess; girls go crazy when they smell it up close, as it’s not beast mode. It performs hugely and is exquisite; the vanilla is spectacular, one of the richest I’ve tried. Now the price has risen significantly: previously around $40, now it’s about $60. If you want potent vanilla, look elsewhere. If you want subtle vanilla, this is yours.

  • I bought it blind and upon opening it, I felt a sweet scent that I loved. It’s one of my favourites: not powerful, but rich. It projects a soft, pleasant aroma that doesn’t offend, ideal for cold days or evenings. Surprised it’s from a car brand. Recommended for dates. 9/10.

  • My husband bought it for me, and it’s a delight, very sensual and addictive. I see it as unisex and I’ll be wearing it too, because on my skin it’s a delicious vanilla.

  • valentinophantom

Okay, I give up. I can no longer insult car brand perfumes, because this is a bomb. It smells like sex. Literally, it smells like a man who is about to have sex with the girl you like, but she’s not paying attention because you’re a troll using niche perfumes that nobody likes, like Tom Ford. Jaja, just kidding, it’s fantastic. It’s masculine, imposing, and has an acceptable price. Perhaps it’s too vanilla-heavy, but the incense note calms that vanilla and makes it exquisite. 9.5/10.

  • I’ve always wanted one. I heard so many good things that I decided to try a decant, and what a relief. The truth is, it’s nothing extraordinary: sweet, pleasant vanilla, but without adding anything new. It’s affordable and lasts about 8 hours, fully satisfied. I wouldn’t recommend it if you already own more than 20 fragrances; it doesn’t offer that differentiating factor you look for once you’ve explored the perfume world.

  • Brutally feminine vanilla. I had to gift the bottle away because my skin just couldn’t handle it… a major fail on my blind buy. But what can you do? I’ll keep enjoying this hobby.

  • DelaVegaParfums

It’s a gem, a vanilla achieved to perfection. The perfumer really shines here. It’s absolutely delicious, not cloying, playing brilliantly with amber and incense. Every time I wear it, I feel like I’m carrying something noble and incredibly rich with luxury performance.
