Finally got my hands on it, what a marvel! It’s curious that when I tested it before I didn’t notice the oud so much, but the box comes with a piece of real wood that smells exactly the same. Another little story: at first, I was more taken with Sahraa Oud from the same brand, but over time I found myself reaching for this sample more; I felt it was more versatile, wearable and pleasant, until I’d finished it without realising. I wear it and it’s neither fresh nor warm, suitable for any occasion. It has a peculiar scent: citrus, resinous and incense-y without smelling like a church. The oud ties it all together into a sublime fragrance. It’s not heavy, it works in summer, neither sharp nor ethereal, it just sits there. The downside is it doesn’t last long, about seven hours. My skin eats perfumes, so it’s unisex. Hope I’ve been helpful!
I bought a 2.5ml sample to understand it. The truth is, it’s divine—the most elegant bleu I’ve tried—but unfortunately, on my skin, it fades within an hour. If it performed better, I’d buy it, but given how it interacts with my skin, it’s not worth even half that price.

A fragrance with super versatile, exquisite, and long-lasting oud. It’s pricey, but worth it for the quality, versatility, and originality. And it smells very unique!

Sacre Bleu! Upon leaving, you catch notes of cardamom and orange, but nothing intense, citrusy, or gourmand; everything is very soft over a woody, harmless oud with an aquatic tone. Unisex-leaning masculine, linear, with modest performance (longevity outshines projection) and very versatile. The flaw? $415 for 50ml. The price is absurd for something that offers nothing; one of the most boring and mediocre offerings from the brand. The oud from Fragrance du Bois is sustainable but lacks real quality. Besides, they copy Creed and Tom Ford, and please, don’t talk to me about the collaboration with Demi Rawling. The box is pure bling bling—gold, crystals, and black velvet, just like Tiziana Terenzi. The presentation is top-notch, and that’s where you pay more; it’s marketing, but the contents are far below (with exceptions like Sahraa). Any fresh perfume from Parfums de Marly, Creed, or Xerjoff makes Oud Bleu Intense look like pomade.
This is another level! I got it as a decant when buying Minuit et demi and, at first, with my nose saturated by the shop’s scents, I didn’t quite get it. But the second time I wore it, it was masterful! What quality and what balance of ingredients. This house continues to surprise me; Oud Bleu Intense has everything you’re looking for: quality, longevity, projection, sillage, versatility, and compliments that boost your ego. I didn’t hesitate for a second to spend half my salary on the full bottle. Out of all my fragrances, it has the most quality and versatility combined. In my opinion, it’s the best I’ve heard in perfumery, right up there with Oud Maracujá.
