  • A talc-rose from another time: fresh, delicate, sober and elegant. The opening of this perfume is deadly, very medicinal, but luckily it lasts only a second, and instantly transforms into a delicate and fresh talc-rose fragrance with precious nuances of rose and saffron. Then, the rose rises in intensity, reveling in a pristine clarity, the smell of Ausonia talcum powder, that little pink pot smelling of roses that was in any bathroom of the 80s, as this part of the perfume reminds me of that. From here on, the perfume has little evolution, remaining as a semi-talc aroma, with the rose as the protagonist over a musky base of sandalwood and patchouli. I don’t know why, but the perfume has reminded me of those wonderful 80s, where in any lady’s dressing table one could find perfumed talcum powder for the hygiene of both children and adults. I saw with bestial clarity my grandmother’s bathroom, with her talcum powder, my grandfather’s aftershave, and the soap dish with Lux soap tablets, which, by the way, this soap also smelled of roses. Although nowadays it can be found with a great variety of scents, back then, the rose scent was the hallmark of many cosmetic products of the time. To my taste, it is a bit feminine, but I won’t stop using it; I didn’t love it, but I liked it enough to keep it in my collection. I see its use as appropriate for any time and climate; it doesn’t have a marked accent for specific use, so it can be worn well both day and night. In this aspect, it is a very versatile aroma. As for performance, we can say it is very good, exceeding 7 hours on skin, with moderate projection from the start. It is not a beast, but if you look at the price, many people I know should be ashamed. This perfume is highly recommended for those women who enjoy talc and rose aromas; for men, I would only recommend it if they are open-minded and enjoy roses without complexes. P.S.: There is another Rasasi perfume called “Mukhallat Oudh Al Mubakhar” that shares the same notes as this one, and even the bottle is the same; the only thing that varies is the cap, which is silver instead of gold. Its execution is unisex and slightly more masculine. As soon as I can, I will make the review on the forum.

  • I tried the one with the silver cap, and it is Oud and Rose, a very clean scent. The opening is feminine but only for a few minutes, then it becomes a beautiful rose fragrance for a man. It is very similar to Arabian Night by Jesús del Pozo; I would say they are identical, only that the Rasasi one costs 1/5th of the price of Jesús del Pozo’s, and moreover, the latter is only sold at the El Corte Inglés in Puerto Banús, Spain (previously it was also sold at Malaga airport but no longer). Recommended fragrance by Rasasi.

Thanks to the advice of friend @ManBleu Chanel, I acquired this fragrance, but in the silver cap version, which arrives on Friday, and of course, I will review it. Its declared notes are: Top: Bergamot and Saffron. Heart: Rose, Violet and Geranium. Base: Sandalwood, Musk and Patchouli. It seems the gold cap is more feminine and the silver cap is more geared towards the masculine side.

Well said and done: it arrived today from the Czech Republic. Having to pop down to the supermarket, I took the opportunity to grab two coffees on the terrace. This review is for the silver cap version (not included with Fragantica). First off, it’s a PARFUM built on Arab bases, which is very noticeable. It opens with very concentrated Saffron, which gently unfolds shortly after with a Bergamot. The heart is very attractive and sexy at the same time. It contains (for me) the most provocative of all roses, the Turkish rose, which fuses perfectly with Geranium and Violet. You can already make out a Sandalwood, which together with Patchouli and Musk will form a base lasting approximately 6 hours. Value for money knows no rival. Two compliments before 30 minutes of 4 sprays say it all. Many thanks to @ManBleu Chanel for his apt suggestion. P.S. Not for summer, better suited to intermediate seasons and Mediterranean winters. Value for money is unbeatable and it can be worn in the evening. Its complexity lies in its simplicity.

@ ErosV, colleague. Most reviews here refer to the silver cap bottle. It seems you’ve bought the gold one. Perhaps you should try to exchange it, as there are notable differences between the two.

  • Either my bottle is in bad condition or I don’t understand what’s happening. My perfume has a gold cap and smells like leather and faded flowers, like a rose put inside an old book. It makes me feel unpleasant; it has been a disappointment. I let myself be carried away by the reviews, that’s what happens when you buy blind 🙁

  • Or my bottle is in bad condition or I don’t understand what’s happening with this perfume; to start with, my perfume has the gold cap, and its smell to me is like leather and wilted flowers, like a rose put in a book for a long time, it seems quite unpleasant to me, it has been a total disappointment, I let myself be carried away by the reviews, that’s what happens to me when buying blind 🙁

  • A colleague asked me about this silver cap perfume and I don’t know how his message got deleted, so I’m posting it here in case you read it. Is it worth it? It’s similar to Montale’s Black Oud, only the opening, the first five minutes, might scare you, but give it a chance because it’s wonderful.

  • A fragrance with a lovely and romantic tone if handled correctly. Potent saffron, rose, and musk, with oud, violet, and tonka in the base. In the end, it leaves a soapy, saffron-infused rose. It works well for me on skin alone; a small amount blends and creates a subtle film with my body odour. If applied to clothes, it sticks, is potent, and linear, without evolving or becoming personal. If not handled well, it’s complicated and can become boring. But if integrated softly, it leaves a refined and interesting scent, of a chivalrous and romantic man, like ‘One Thousand and One Nights’. For the price, brilliant and different for a daily signature.

  • A fragrance with a very lovely and romantic tone if learned to handle. Saffron, rose and strong musk, with Oud, violet and tonka softly escorting everything else. In the end, it leaves a soapy saffroned rose. It works well for me if I only spray it on skin, nothing on clothes, a not very large amount that mixes and makes a beautiful, subtle film with my own body scent. If applied on clothes, it gets stuck too potently with the saffron and the buzzing rose that doesn’t fade, too linear and that doesn’t evolve, that you don’t make your own, you smell it too much, and moreover, it stays more feminine. If not handled well, it is a complicated fragrance that can bore you and you will probably end up abandoning it for not identifying with it. But as I say, integrating it softly with you leaves a very refined and interesting scent, of a gentleman and romantic man, of “one thousand and one nights”, as they usually say. For the price, a great, different scent that can be used as a signature fragrance in everyday life.

Review of the silver cap, not the gold one. It took me days to appreciate it; at first, I felt a synthetic slap in the face, though clean, I thought it was sharp and would have thrown it away. However, I wore it several times at home and my impression changed. The opening is tricky (not ugly or bad), but then it settles into a clean, pleasant, and comforting floral scent. For the 10-15€, I find it interesting.

  • Review of the silver cap. It opens very saffron-forward, aggressive but with a clean touch. As it dries, the rose dominates, giving it an air similar to Declaration d’un Soir. Duration and projection are average: noticeable for 2 hours and on skin for 6. For an oriental, it’s not very challenging, except for the first 10 minutes where it reminds me of Montale’s Black Aoud, but fresher. Ideal for intermediate seasons, day and night. Not for children. For the price, highly recommended.

Review of the gold cap. I read it was unisex, but this one is more feminine. Upon application, it smells very synthetic, like plastic, nothing pleasant. I didn’t like it. As it dried, after 10 minutes, the fragrance became noticeable. I don’t know how long it lasts, I didn’t like it and took it off. It was a blind buy failure; the positive is that I only spent 10€ on a room freshener.

Review of the gold cap one. I had read that although it is unisex, the gold cap one is more feminine. As soon as I applied it, a very synthetic smell was appreciated, like plastic, nothing pleasant. I didn’t like it. As it dried, around 10 minutes, the fragrance began to be noticed. I don’t know its durability, I didn’t like it and had to take it off. It was a blind buy failure; I’m left with the positive that I invested 10€ for an air freshener.

The gold cap is extraordinary! Very similar to the Oud oil from Al Haramain. If you like rose, try it: it’s a mature, tonka-like, soapy, and potent rose.

Gold cap, extraordinary! Very similar to Oudi the perfume oil by Al Haramain, if you like roses you must try it, mature rose, talc-like, soapy and potent!

I’m talking about the gold cap version (Oudh Al Mubakhhar) to avoid confusion; it’s very similar to its silver sister, but this one is more tonka-like, less citrusy, and has leather or suede notes that steer it in a different direction, almost more feminine. The heart is the same, but without musk, which reinforces the Turkish rose, geranium, and violet, stripping away the masculinity. The woody base is also missing. Both are unisex, but the silver is more masculine. The gold lasts a bit longer. The value for money is worth it if you know what you’re buying. Better to test it, never buy blind.

  • Here I will refer to the gold cap one (Oudh Al Mubakhhar) to avoid confusion; very similar to its sister (silver cap) – Mukhallat Oudh Al Mubakhar – but I would dare to say Oudh Al Mubakhhar is more talc-like, less citrusy and with some leather or suede accord that makes it evolve along another path, almost more towards the feminine. The heart notes are the same, but removing a note of musk, which reinforces the Turkish rose, geranium and violet, reducing masculinity to the composition since the woody accord present in its sister is also suppressed in the base notes. I consider both to be unisex, but the silver cap one would result in a more masculine one. As for projection and trail, they are similar, and the same with duration; perhaps the gold cap one lasts a little longer. As for cost, the value for money is definitely worth it, provided you know what type of perfume you are going to buy. Better to try, never blind. A.C.R.

Call me crazy, but I find in the opening an inevitable evocation of a soft drink like 7 UP or SPRITE; it lasts a few seconds, not too prolonged. Immediately it reminds me of the smell of rose, which invades everything and becomes the protagonist. I don’t feel the saffron declared in the top note. Yes, that citrus character, which also accompanies timidly the potent rose fragrance. As the hours pass, the intensity of the rose subsides and it becomes floral, somewhat woody and talc-like. It takes its time to get used to this fragrance, but once you have accepted it, it is almost addictive and delicious!

Call me crazy, but at first it smells like a fizzy drink, like 7 UP or Sprite; it lasts only seconds before the rose takes over and becomes the star. I didn’t notice the promised saffron, but I did detect that citrus touch accompanying the potent rose. Over time, the intensity drops and it becomes floral, woody, and tonka-like. It needs time to settle, but once you get used to it, it’s almost addictive and delicious.
