Descripción

Armani Privé Rose d'Arabie by Giorgio Armani is an oriental floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2010, this composition evokes the lushness of Arabian gardens with an olfactory structure that unfolds top notes of bergamot, jasmine, and rose; a heart of iris, orchid, and damask rose; and a base of sandalwood, vanilla, and amber.

  • It’s very good; you might find it strong at first, but then a balance between its notes arrives and it is exquisite. You can feel the oud and the roses, with vanilla at the base. By God, it’s addictive, a perfume masterpiece. Totally recommended for refined gentlemen and very special occasions.

  • Very good. At first it seems strong, but then it finds an exquisite balance. You can smell the oud, the roses and vanilla at the base. By God, it’s addictive, a masterpiece. Totally recommended for refined gentlemen and special occasions.

  • A good perfume, smells nice. The opening recalls Mugler’s A Man, but evolves differently: a soft rose note, not feminine, slightly sweet and vanilla-like. I find it more masculine. Longevity and projection are moderate. It’s okay, but I wouldn’t pay the price they ask, whether niche or not, unless you have plenty of spare cash. Rating: 8.

  • A marvel. Exquisite with the oud very present. If you love this type of fragrance, you must try it; it’s incredible. Along with Myrrhe Imperiale, they are the best in the Privée line.

  • One of my favourites: an enigmatic and sensual jewel for rose lovers. It opens with a digestible oud and a duo of roses with a touch of talc and saffron. In the heart, the rose blooms as the oud yields to patchouli. Excellent projection and bestial longevity, over 12 hours on skin. Unisex and of impeccable quality. Ideal for galas, weddings, evening drinks or simply to show off.

  • One of my favourites, recommended for rose lovers. This beautiful enigmatic and sensual fragrance full of mystery. Rose d’Arabie opens with a digestible oud and a duo of roses slightly talcated with the support of saffron spice. As the composition moves towards its heart, the rose grows in intensity as the oud recedes slowly, gradually replaced by patchouli. The projection is excellent and the longevity is outstanding, over 12 hours on skin. A unisex fragrance with impeccable quality. Highly recommended for gala nights, weddings, evening drinks or simply if you want to show off.

  • It is the king of the Armani Privée collection. If you like Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, this is another level: a dark rose with a brutal opening that lasts at full strength for half an hour before releasing a subtle oud, patchouli and vanilla in perfect balance. It’s not for every rose lover, nor for those seeking something vibrant and red; it is a black rose, woody and unisex, though with more masculine nuances. If you smell it on a woman, you will love it. The trail is enormous (over two metres) and the longevity on skin exceeds 8-10 hours, staining clothes forever. Fabulous and one of my favourites.

Men have always been attracted to floral aromas, especially rose. Armani’s Rose d’Arabie presents a dark, sombre, and powerful rose. It has good projection and sillage, with something pulsating and alive within its darkness. It tastes of promise, sin, and perhaps regret. Upon spraying, it emerges intensely like a drop of blood slowly rising from a provocative wound. It is intriguing and unsettling, like exploring a dark room in an old mansion by candlelight. It is a fascinating and mysterious perfume that I requested to test thanks to Toni_300, and in my humble opinion, it turns out to be one of the most beautiful oriental fragrances from the Armani house.

  • Rose d’Arabie features rose as the protagonist accompanied by oud. Imagine a pomegranate-red rose, large, luxurious, with velvety petals and a robust stem. The opening is potent, spicy (perhaps saffron) and slightly ‘fresh’. The first five minutes smell synthetic, but then the magic begins. The rose is achieved perfectly, always accompanied by an elegant oud in perfect symbiosis. Although it is oriental, it is not cloying; it even has a slight acidic note (perhaps patchouli). I don’t detect vanilla on skin. It is elegant, long-lasting, enigmatic and sensual. It could be the signature scent of someone people remember. Intense yet versatile (except in extreme heat). Totally unisex: I am a woman and I love it; on a man it would be dangerous. High projection for 3-4 hours, then moderate. Lasts 13 hours with two sprays. In summary: a high projection and longevity unisex oriental floral. I’m in love. On my skin it is a masterpiece. This is what I expected from Oud Bouquet (sorry, Lancôme, I’m staying with Armani).

  • Rose d’Arabie features the rose as the protagonist accompanied by oud. I imagine a dark red, almost burgundy, large and luxurious rose with velvety petals. The opening is potent, spiced, and slightly ‘fresh’. The first five minutes smell synthetic, but it disappears quickly and the magic begins. The rose is very well executed and is accompanied by an elegant oud in a perfect symbiosis. I love it because although it is oriental, it is not too sweet; it even has a certain acidic note sometimes. On my skin, I do not detect the vanilla. It is elegant, long-lasting, enigmatic, and sensual—the kind of perfume people remember. Although it is intense, I believe it can be worn all year round (except on very hot days). Totally unisex: I am a woman and I love it, but on a man this must be dangerous. The projection and sillage are high for the first 3-4 hours, then drop to moderate. The longevity is excellent; I can still smell it close to the skin 13 hours after two sprays. This type of aroma wins with ‘less is more’. In summary: a high projection and longevity unisex oriental floral fragrance. On me, it smells like a masterpiece.

  • Anairamis

A classic rose and oud combination blended in a masterful and elegant way. It is not the best rose-oud combination I have tried, but it is very good: dense, with a projection of 1.5 to 2 metres that does not overwhelm but gently claims the space. It lasts a very long time on the skin and even longer on clothes. The rose is very mature and the oud is elegant and wearable, but it lacks a bit of brightness; it is dense and dark, making it somewhat somber. In my opinion, it would be appreciated more on a man, although it is not very masculine, it is unisex. I feel something is missing or perhaps too much. I stick with Oud Bouquet by Lancôme, the same combination but caramelised, with a bright and lively tone that I prefer.

The classic rose-oud combo blended with mastery, elegant and captivating. It’s not the best rose-oud blend I’ve tried, but it’s very good: dense, with projection of 1.5 to 2 metres without being overwhelming, gently taking over spaces. It lasts a long time on skin and even longer on clothes. The rose is mature, the oud elegant and wearable, though it lacks a bit of light; it is dense and dark, not particularly youthful. In my opinion, it suits men better, although it is unisex but feels like something is missing or too much. I prefer Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet: same combo but caramelised, bright and lively.

  • Armani Privé Rose d’Arabie combines the luxury of Giorgio Armani with oud wood, a tribute to Arabia. It is an exquisite, sophisticated, and expensive fragrance. It opens with a sweet oriental rose that transports you to distant paradises, blended with oud, saffron, vanilla, and patchouli. It is a perfect balance of strength, voluptuousness, and seduction. The rose is juicy and sensual, yet the oud balances it so it isn’t overly feminine; any man can wear it. It is romantic and sensual, with an incredible dry-down and longevity lasting many hours. The patchouli and amber are present but not very prominent. If you are looking for something refined, romantic, and intriguing, this is worth every penny.

  • I can’t smell any roses in this perfume at all. Initially, I just detect an aromatic woody scent with fresh minty notes. I’ve tried many rose-oud combinations before and always recognise the oud, but here it’s very different: a fine, velvety wood. It’s a pity I bought it expecting to smell roses; they are far too hidden. Once dried down, I do perceive a rich, sweet vanilla aroma, but absolutely zero roses.

  • I was eager to try this fragrance, but it has left me a bit disappointed. The opening smells like Arabic bazaar air fresheners with golden stoppers. Although Armani’s quality is superior, that Arabic nuance is something I’ve heard to death. The rose shifts from being bathed in smoky patchouli to becoming vanilla-scented over time. I expected something more resolute and rose-forward, with less smoke and more special character. Both Rose d’Arabie and Oud Royal have an oud that feels more like incense to me, yet they remain wonderful proposals.

  • whisper_of_love

Not much to add: it’s a potent rose-oud with good fixative qualities. I still haven’t fully warmed to oud, but the combination is solid.

  • At first, it recalls his masculine fragrances, but with the femininity of the rose. Over time, it maintains its intensity while the woody and rose nuances evolve, leaving a powerful and elegant trail. For me, it still retains that masculine touch without losing its sexiness.

  • Avalon1224

The blend of rose and oud is exquisite and works perfectly here; I view it as a neutral unisex. It boasts excellent projection and longevity, exactly what you need to project confidence and leave a great impression.

  • Rich and powerful, it projects massively and lasts all day. The woody and oud notes should make it more masculine, but the rose is so dominant that it takes hours to evolve. Although marketed as unisex, my girlfriend says it smells like a far-right lady, so I see it as purely feminine.

  • It’s a rich perfume, it doesn’t quite suit me, I don’t know if I love it or hate it. It’s strong, projects a lot and lasts a long time. The oud and wood notes should give it a masculine touch, but I don’t find them very easy; the rose is so strong and present that you have to wait several hours to notice the evolution of the notes. Although it is unisex, I find it decidedly feminine; according to my girlfriend, when I wear it, I smell like a far-right lady, haha.
