A fragrance that smells almost identical to Montale’s Black Aoud and strays slightly from Lutens’ Ambre Sultan, yet remains within that same family. Given the price and longevity, it is an excellent purchase. The projection lasts around two hours; it is noticeable but not overwhelming, certainly less so than Black Aoud. The trail is definitely present, and on combination skin it lasts over five hours, which is more than enough to stay close to the skin all day. If you know Black Aoud but don’t want to spend a fortune, the Mukhallat Oudh Al Mubakhar from Rasasi (with the silver cap) is a budget-friendly alternative. The ingredients are of lower quality, but the final blend is nothing to sneeze at. Remember: try it before buying.
