  It’s wonderful that Montale comes up with fragrances that aren’t easily classified as male or female, a clear example of unisex. This Pure Love is like an Ombre Leather but more potent and sweet. The aroma is quite sweet, clings tenaciously to the skin, and has a longevity well above average. The sillage is probably one of the most potent I’ve tried, to the point of being suffocating.

  Once dry, the scent leans more towards masculine; several girls have told me it smells a bit too feminine. It’s true that in its evolution there’s that tug-of-war between the two, but it’s nothing like the purely macho or harsh Black Aoud. For me, it’s ideal for an intimate date.

  It’s wonderful that Montale comes up with fragrances that aren’t easily classified as male or female, in other words, that perfectly fulfil the unisex concept. This Pure Love is a clear example. To me, it smells like an Ombre Leather but more potent and sweet. The aroma is quite sweet, clings tenaciously to the skin, and its longevity is well above average. The trail is probably one of the most potent I’ve tried in perfumery; it’s almost suffocating.
