  • Another great fragrance from Atelier Cologne, now with the rose as the central theme. It’s rose with minor notes of bergamot and ginger at the start and balsamic ones afterwards, all seasoned with the other protagonist: the oud. As a rule, I don’t like oud, but here it’s soft and so well blended that it’s not cloying nor does it “eat” the other notes. It’s very balanced and is the note that makes it totally unisex. The longevity is good with a soft sillage, generating a perceptible and very pleasant aura. Very good and recommended!!!

Another fragrance from Atelier Cologne that I think is MARVELLOUS. I’ve been wanting to review it for a while and feared my description wouldn’t match what I perceive, but I’d rather write my honest opinion. It’s the warmest and most welcoming fragrance I’ve ever smelled; it smells like the embrace of someone you like. Although it’s warm and sweet, it’s not dense or overwhelming, something difficult to achieve and very well balanced. Its scent is recognisable; if it were mass-produced, you’d identify it on the street, but I don’t think that will happen. It’s peculiar, fresh and citrusy with sweet tints at the start. Then the balsamic woods (probably the oud) enter, responsible for that body warmth, accompanied softly by roses that add delicacy and relax the woods, making it 100% unisex. The patchouli is felt at times, giving a green nuance. Everything is very blended. The projection is short, but if you stand still it generates a pleasant sillage. Its longevity on clothes is days and days: I tested it before bed, atomising once the decant gifted by @drakecito. It became so impregnated in the bed that two days later it still smelled; that morning I woke up thinking I was dreaming of Rose Anonyme, but no, it was still there. After two days, it continued to smell for three more days very faintly, but perceptible. The opening and middle phases are slightly masculine due to the oud, while the final phase is delicate and feminine. For special moments. For me, it’s a “romantic” perfume. Extraordinary 🙂

  • A beautiful perfume that intrigued me instantly and is one of my favourites where the rose reigns. I have a thing for roses: fresh ones with dew, gourmands, or vintage powdery ones. Rose Anonyme doesn’t fit into any of these categories; it’s not fresh, it’s sweet but not gourmand, and definitely not outdated, it’s simply Rose. I agree with drakecito and Danny: at first it’s citrusy and then becomes warm. I didn’t detect the oud, perhaps I don’t know how to identify it; I’ve smelled other rose+oud blends like Dior’s Oud Ispahan and didn’t like them, but with this one I loved it. It seems more feminine to me, but it’s my selfishness (I can see myself wearing it alone, haha), in reality it’s quite unisex. The only downside is that on my skin it lasts very little, although the sillage is good.

The protagonists are rose, oud, and patchouli; the rose stands out most, followed by the oud and then the patchouli. The perception changes over time. At the start, I don’t notice any citrus, only a vibrant rose and a dark oud in the background. In the middle phase, the patchouli takes centre stage, reminiscent of the blend in Portrait of a Lady. Finally, it becomes balsamic thanks to the benzoin, without being sweet. The longevity is good, but the projection is short: fine for the first two hours, then skin-scented, although occasionally there are bursts. I see it as suitable for cold weather and unisex, because the oud and patchouli provide warmth and darkness that make it appropriate for men. It smells good, but it lacks something special to make you want it in your collection. That’s not the case with this Rose Anonyme.

The rose, oud and patchouli take centre stage, with the rose dominating the opening, followed by the oud and then the patchouli. Unlike others, there are no citrus notes in the top; instead, a cheerful, vibrant rose shines through, darkened by the oud in the background. Over time, the patchouli gains strength in the heart, reminiscent of Portrait of a Lady, before the benzoin adds a balsamic, non-sweet dry-down. The longevity is decent but the projection is short: excellent for the first two hours, then skin-scent only, although occasionally those bursts others mention appear. I see it as ideal for cold weather and unisex wear, as the oud and patchouli balance the rose for men. It’s not bad, but there are better rose-oud-patchouli combinations out there. Considering the price, it might be worth it, yet it lacks that special touch that would make me wear it all the time. It simply isn’t my cup of tea with this Rose Anonyme.

Neither do I like it nor dislike it. It opens with rose and ginger, then settles into a rose base with a background I suppose is oud or papyrus, typical of Miyake Intense. Those who like rose will adore it, though here it seems excessive to me. The quality is noticeable. It’s versatile for spring, autumn, and winter, day and night. Longevity and sillage are moderate.

  • Anairamis

It smells of aquatic rose upon application, as if a dried rose were left by the poolside. Once it dries on my skin, it feels like petals tucked between the pages of an old book, so aged that the scent seems ephemeral. There’s no projection or lasting power.

  • Anairamis

At first, it smells of aquatic rose, as if it were drying near a swimming pool. As it dries, it evokes old rose petals kept between the pages of a book, giving an ephemeral sensation. It lacks projection and longevity.

  • The opening is a coquettish, woody rose with a sweet oud reminiscent of sour milk. It’s linear, projecting well for the first two hours before settling into a very soft trail where the rose balances the oud’s body. It’s not a beast; it lasts about six hours. Unisex and versatile for temperate or cold climates, ideal for daytime with moderation or evening if you dare. It’s rare to find a strong oud that doesn’t grate on the nerves; here it’s not unpleasant, though it doesn’t quite win me over. I wouldn’t buy it myself, but it’s perfect for testing the note if you’re a novice. My cousin, who usually wears heavy perfumes, fell head over heels for it. Pleasant: 5/10, Interesting: 5/10, Versatile: 6/10, Original: 6/10.
