Descripción

Rose Of No Man's Land by Byredo is a spicy oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition features an olfactory signature created by the perfumer. The top notes unfold the freshness of red Turkish rose and the heat of pink pepper; the heart reveals the depth of the same red Turkish rose accompanied by raspberry flower; while the base anchors the structure with the elegance of Egyptian papyrus and the warmth of amber.

  • Ohhhh, I absolutely love this fragrance! At first, a delicious and juicy burst combining sparkling pink pepper and raspberry. The rose enters with a softness and freshness that spells enchantment. It is a strawberry-cherry-coloured rose, delicious, delicate, and very natural. I note the herbal woody contribution of papyrus along with a balsamic touch of cedar and a very soft amber note. Longevity is moderate, over 5 hours, and the trail is not very potent but sufficient to feel those bursts of pleasure. It is super versatile, perfect for day and night in all seasons, except scorching summer days, as it combines sweetness, freshness, and depth. It is youthful, tenderly sensual, elegant, and a little powdery; I think it will be my first niche fragrance. Although I see it as feminine, it could suit a man well due to its balsamic and woody base. Guys, you will love this fragrance, I assure you. It is precious and aims to pay homage to the nurses who gave body and soul to caring for wounded soldiers in the First World War. You can feel the delicacy of their healing hands and their warm embrace for the wounded. At the same time, being a soft aroma, you notice the persistence and strength of their vocation, especially in difficult times where despair and fear run rampant. There is no need to imagine the desolation of those No Man’s Lands; it is enough to look at the present to see that the reason for this fragrance is full and current. But do not be mistaken, it does not speak of loneliness, misery, pain, or fear. On the contrary, it is full of hope, compassion, generosity, and optimism. What a pity I cannot click the ‘I love it’ icon several times. Beautiful to the point of madness.

  • This fragrance is an absolute beast. It created an instant, vital need in me. The citrusy raspberry with a hint of pink pepper awakens Rose of No Man’s Land by Byredo, giving way to a majestic red rose so natural and fresh it transports you to an English rose garden, that classic setting for romantic confessions under the moon. The raspberry and pink pepper swirl through the fragrance in bursts, reminding you of their presence and adding that special touch to the composition. When the rose settles on your skin, leaving you femininely perfumed, Egyptian papyrus enters, woody with a distinguished touch, deep yet nothing too serious. The more I smell it, the more I fall in love. In my opinion, it fits into a Rose-Wood category that has me completely spellbound. Without saying they are similar, I would place it on the same line as my beloved Perles de Lalique. For me, it is a perfume for every moment and place: it has the freshness for a summer day and the depth to be enveloping and warm in winter. At night, it brings out sharper facets that make you stand out with your presence. Thanks to Remy I got to try it, and what can I say, it has conquered me head over heels.

Rose Of No Man’s Land has something alive and intense in its formula, something that soothes the soul. It captures you from the very first moment; it’s no surprise it’s one of the flagship scents of this resolute Swedish house making special fragrances that never leave you indifferent: you’ll either love them or hate them. The opening is potent; the pepper indicates freshness but also bite. After that sharp half-second, we’re surrounded by a beautiful rose, full of charm, subtlety, love and splendour. I perceive the rose very clearly and cleanly; it’s usually an ingredient I dislike, but here it’s necessary. It almost reaches a deep, vivid red and sheds petals while maintaining freshness; it doesn’t sting and we enjoy it from start to finish without overly musky or synthetic nuances. At the same time, on my nose, it’s dominated by the papyrus in its most woody, fresh and freshly laminated form. It reminds me of a very fragrant new pencil case. Perhaps it’s the combination of pepper with some unknown wood; it has a small nod to Perles de Lalique, more ethereal and long-lasting. It’s a very poetic perfume, with the delicate yet present rose and the tribute to nurses in wars who, with devotion, save lives. The rose is a gift that sometimes brings you back to life. I understand this perfume in an attentive, generous person who likes to learn and create. Someone who looks ahead but doesn’t miss the things bubbling around them due to their exquisite sensitivity. An honest person who knows how to love and be loved, adores walking with their pet, partner, children and friends, and always finds a moment to tell you how happy they are with you. Rose Of No Man’s Land evokes a secure serenity, that of someone who has learned to live.

  • A passionate rose fragrance enthusiast, especially when it’s dark, I’ve really enjoyed this one. It begins with a scent of strawberries and raspberries with a subtle spicy note of pepper, though very subtle for my taste; I would have preferred it to be more noticeable, yet it’s perfect. The roses appear immediately, pure and red but not feminine. As the hours pass, the rose takes a different turn, blending with the amber and an ingredient I can’t quite identify; it becomes something sweet but a different kind of rose, not so pure, with nuances I’ve adored. That aroma stays with you until the very end, which is many hours. It reminds me greatly of an Andy Tauer fragrance, PHI Une Rose de Kandahar; both walk very similar lines, so I suppose the rose used here is very similar to Tauer’s. It’s perfectly unisex, has a good trail and excellent longevity. I’d wear it in both winter and summer because it’s not heavy. It’s the first Byredo I’ve tried and I’ve loved it; the only question is whether you’re willing to pay the price, but the quality is there and abundant.

  • I’m starting to think Byredo isn’t for me… I still haven’t found what truly excites me, and this perfume is no exception. Rose? Yes. Intense? Also. Is it worth the price? Absolutely not!!! I love the rose, especially in autumn or late winter when I crave something warm yet floral. For me, the rose isn’t fresh; it’s warm. I know and repeat roses in many forms and from various brands. If you want to smell this, try Adolfo Domínguez’s Noche de Rosas; it has the same dark/warm tone, better trail and longevity, and of course, a much better price. Although I haven’t used it in ages, I believe I wouldn’t be able to distinguish them on my skin… Perhaps Byredo is just a little less sweet. If you don’t like such an intense rose, at least you won’t spend so much. If you’re obsessed, then you’re already spending on niche… Or perhaps not, because if you like it, it’s almost identical.

  • I am starting to think that BYREDO is not for me… I still have not found my ideal perfume and this one was no different. Rose? Yes. Intense? Also. Does it worth the price? Not at all. I love the rose, especially in autumn and late winter when I fancy something warm and floral. For me, the rose is not fresh, it is warm. I know and repeat the rose in many forms and brands. If you want to smell this perfume, go for Noche de Rosas by Adolfo Domínguez, it is the same dark and warm tone, with better trail and longevity, and of course, a better price. Although I have not used it for a long time, I think on my skin I would not be able to distinguish them… Perhaps BYREDO is a little less sweet. If you do not like such an intense rose, at least you will not have spent so much. And if you go crazy for it, then you pay for niche… Or not, because if you like it, it is almost the same.

My favourite Byredo. The most special rose I’ve ever tried. I love that touch of papyrus that emerges after a while. To me, this perfume is like a hug from a loved one, something that soothes the soul. I can see this on a kind, compassionate, tender, gentle and good woman. In this case, it delivers exactly what the name intended to convey.

It is my favourite Byredo. The most special rose I have ever smelled. I love that touch of papyrus that appears after a while. For me, this perfume is like a hug from a loved one, something that comforts the soul. I see it on a loving, compassionate, tender, kind, and good woman. Here it does indeed evoke what it wanted to convey with the name of the perfume.

  • This perfume opens with an acidic rose, probably due to the raspberry, but over time the acidity fades and it becomes warmer thanks to the amber. It’s pleasant, feminine and ideal for mild or warm climates; it works equally well for informal or semi-formal occasions. Its performance is mediocre, typical of Byredo: it lasts four hours and the projection is only noticeable for the first few minutes. It’s decent, but roses aren’t really my thing and I find it expensive for what it offers. Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 3/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 4/10

  • Today is my favourite rose. Unlike other roses that smell the same, this one does not. I think it is the Egyptian papyrus that gives it that prestigious library air, mixing old books with the wood of the furniture. It also reminds me of a rosary I bought at the gates of the Vatican, impregnated with the scent of roses. The only thing I take away is the longevity; on me it does not last more than 6 hours.

  • Today it’s my favourite of the roses. Normally they all smell the same, but this one doesn’t. I suppose it’s the Egyptian papyrus that gives it a prestigious library touch, blending old books with the wood of the furniture. It also reminds me of the rosary I bought at the gates of the Vatican, with that scent of roses soaked in. The only thing I’d deduct is the longevity; on me it doesn’t reach six hours.

  • Roses everywhere, but I wouldn’t choose it among so many others. It’s pleasant, feminine and lovely, but not for me. The papyrus doesn’t convince me, and when it dries, sometimes pink pepper emerges, which is quite nice. Little sillage and moderate longevity. I know most people adore it, but on my skin it turns into an almost rotten rose.

  • On my skin, it smells too acidic; the cheapness comes through and the rose doesn’t shine. I’ve had bad luck with Byredo so far, only Inflorescence has worked for me, and I love their fragrances because they’re made in Spain and their customer service is top-notch.
