  The opening smells quite feminine while the heart and base notes are sweet. I detect mainly violet and musk. I like it although the longevity isn’t very long; on my skin I barely feel it for a maximum of 2-3 hours.

  Silver Iris starts with a sweet fruit of orange and blackcurrant that blends quickly with that powdery iris and violet. As it dries a sweet amber makes it denser and younger with a touch of patchouli and musk that extends that powdery trail (I find it a bit too sweet and it takes the iris’s spotlight). It reminds me a lot of Dior Homme; although Silver Iris is fruitier it has that lipstick or makeup touch that Dior has. Medium-high quality good longevity and moderate projection. Sometimes imitations fail like Byredo 1996 imitating Ambre Fetiche but here they have improved and expanded the original with an interesting result. Well done Atelier. Note: 7.

  Silver Iris starts with a fresh fruit of sweet orange and blackcurrants that blend quickly with that powdery iris and violet. As it dries the amber adds density and a feminine touch with patchouli and musk that soften that sweet powdery trail (I find the sweetness a bit excessive and it takes the iris’s spotlight). It reminded me a lot of Dior Homme: although Silver Iris is fruitier and sweeter it keeps that lipstick and makeup touch that Dior has. Medium-high quality good longevity and moderate projection. Sometimes imitations fail like Byredo 1996 with Ambre Fetiche or Chez Bond with Green Irish Tweed. But here they have improved and expanded the original idea surpassing the current reformulated Dior Homme. Well done Atelier! Note: 7

  I like it. The opening is very sweet from the blackcurrant and tangerine. Then comes the powdery iris with the violet leaves that give it a fresh touch. It’s a MIP but a cloying version; I’d lower the sweetness a bit. Ideal for autumn winter and spring day and night. Long-lasting longevity and moderate trail.

  Silver Iris is a delightful floral with a metallic touch. The opening is perfect; all ingredients play their part straight away without deceit like honest people. Light the violet leaves sweeten and the blackcurrant adds acidity alongside the house’s classic citrus. The iris is an elegant candid gentleman and the metallic musk gives it a versatile touch for men and women. A finish with patchouli and warm amber very harmonious. Ideal for any season though I’d wear it in summer to feel elegant and at ease a luxury summer scent. EDIT: I’ve had flashes of my beloved Very Valentino Rip.

  What a gem… it smells identical to Prada Iris Cedre but more powdery and sweet. The trail and longevity are top the scent delicious clean and crisp. You may love or hate Atelier perfumes but the quality is undeniable; every one I’ve tried is worth the price.

  The lily is my favourite note and I try anything that carries it niche or supermarket whatever the price. Atelier Cologne has decent quality but this iris smells like hell. Putting it on my hand I expected cold powdery lily but it gave me nausea; it smells like burnt Barbie with weeds in a post-nuclear bonfire. Silver iris? There’s nothing silver here; it smells like burning plastic. It’s brown toasted and severely overcooked; if you touch the lily the illusion vanishes amidst burnt vanilla like Nenuco and baked labdanum. I hate that sweet oily family. I imagine a comforting winter brew but I want cedar and fresh water. When dry it calms down but it remains roasted and caustic like candied orange peel or forgotten coffee. I’m given it and throw it away. PS: When I tried it I thought of the Zara Home line poorly assembled and chemical like a house of cards. Surprise: it was designed by Jerome Epinette who made four perfumes for that line and another I hate Vibrant Leather. He’s one of the noses I dislike the most.

  The lily is one of my favourite notes and I try every perfume that carries it niche or not I don’t mind the price I want to taste them all. Atelier Cologne has acceptable quality but this iris is from hell. I put two or three dabs on my hand to flood my nose with cold powdery lily… my joy turns to a pit every time I smelled it I felt like vomiting. Silver Iris? Silver lily? There’s nothing I’d rather smell than a lily and on top of that with mineral notes I like. This should be called Burning Iris it smells like a bonfire of burning things plastics included on a post-nuclear stage. It’s brown toasted severely overcooked sweet and if you stumble on the lily the illusion fades amidst a hot roasted vapour of things that smell like burnt Nenuco and lipstick. Nothing produces more aversion in me than those hot vanillas flans and benzoin. I’m incapable of imagining the ingredients I just smell a brew that people love and say how comforting” while I think “I’m dying give me cedar or fresh water . When dry it calms down but the formula is the same: something oily and roasted caustic and sweet. I only think of burnt weeds or a dish of forgotten coffee. I’m given it and throw it away. PS: I thought of the horrible Zara Home line poorly assembled and chemical perfumes. This Silver Iris has the same air of a poorly made thing. PS II: I confirmed that Jerome Epinette who created it made four perfumes for Zara Home and also Vibrant Leather a range I detest. He’s one of the noses I dislike the most.
