Descripción

Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb Night Vision Eau de Toilette is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Nathalie Lorson and Pierre Negrin. The top notes reveal a vibrant freshness with Granny Smith apple, cardamom, green mandarin and grapefruit; the heart unfolds with warm spices such as pepper, sage, nutmeg, red chilli, cloves and geranium; while the base notes land on a sensual foundation of tonka bean, woods and almond.

  • I didn’t like it; perhaps it’s just not my style. It has a spicy citrus scent, imagine smelling a lemon with very hot chilli, and I can’t relate it to any other perfume.

  • Sweet, generic, and boring, nothing like previous versions. Best forgotten quickly, pity the bottle is a real beauty.

  • Total disaster, the worst I’ve tried in months. I don’t even know where to start… the scent? It smells like sweet synthetic and generic, as the other reviewer said and wasn’t wrong. To give you an idea, it’s a mix between Polo Red and Joop Wild, but for the price it should have better quality in its notes; alas, quality is fair to poor, frankly horrible. The longevity is another joke, lasting four or five hours and staying very close to the skin almost the whole time. And well, the price is what makes it a genuine rip-off: paying nearly €100 for this is… I’ll stop there.

  • Total disaster, the worst I’ve tried in months. Smells like sweet synthetic and generic, a cheap mix between Polo Red and Joop Wild. Quality is fair to poor, frankly horrible. The longevity is a joke, lasting only four or five hours and staying close to the skin almost the whole time. Paying nearly €100 is a rip-off; I’d rather not say more.

  • Definitely, I get the impression they are drifting away from the original. It’s losing its originality, becoming generic, and isn’t worth its price.

  • To me, it smells like aftershave. It’s fine for after a shower, but not for going out partying, only for heading to bed. It’s boring and outdated. I didn’t like it much.

  • It smells like whatever rubbish Carolina Herrera has been pumping out lately. Nothing special.

  • It’s a clone of Invictus with a spicier touch; the original is more aquatic. It’s not a bad fragrance, it’s average and left me indifferent. It’s not nocturnal as its name suggests, but rather daytime and wearable in heat. On my skin, the ambroxan stands out; I believe it contains quite a bit of tonka and some poorly structured citrus. It’s fresh, smells clean, and is daytime-appropriate. Try before you buy. My advice: it lacks sensuality and smells like Invictus, which is better made and has the ambroxan in abundance.

  • At first, it smells very similar to Paco Rabanne’s Invictus, but as it dries down, it becomes quite original.

  • Tested on a sample, it smells exactly like Carolina Herrera’s 212 VIP Black: very sweet, too much for my taste and it gives me a headache, but it smells nice and lingers, leaving a very heavy trail.

  • Spicebomb Night Vision is spicy, aromatic, and fruity. The opening is sweet, like bubblegum, giving way to a very spicy phase where nutmeg and almond are perceptible. Despite the sweetness, there are green and fresh notes that prevent it from being cloying. In the dry-down, the base is slightly woody with tonka bean. It has that sweetness so many young people love, with a style somewhere between Paco Rabanne, Carolina Herrera, and Azzaro Wanted. Being spicy, it suits cool days, autumn, and winter, night outings, or dates. Performance is average, around eight hours, with good initial projection that fades later. It feels more youthful than the regular or Extreme versions, although it’s also more common. It’s not bad, but it hasn’t won me over.

Not bad, but I didn’t like it much.

  • Worldfraganciasrd

Upon spraying, it smells like a blend of Yves Saint Laurent EDP and Paco Rabanne Invictus. It features a very prominent apple note with spicy-sweet touches. Its longevity and projection are moderate. If you’re new to fragrances, I recommend it; it’s very versatile.

  • Worldfraganciasrd

Upon spraying, it reminded me of a mix of Yves Saint Laurent EDP and Paco Rabanne Invictus. I sensed a very marked fruity note of apple with spicy-sweet tones. Longevity and projection are moderate. If you are new to the world of fragrances, I recommend it; it is very versatile.

  • It opens with a citrusy, mentholated burst, reminiscent of a mojito or an appletini. As it dries down, it becomes woody and citrusy with a sweet, spicy hint, evoking a grove of freshly cut eucalyptus or lemon trees. In the final phase, dried fruity woods dominate, reducing the sweetness but leaving that sensation of applewood or dried lemon. It’s a versatile fragrance, though perhaps a bit heavy for hot weather due to the pepper note. It has less longevity and projection than its Spicebomb siblings, but that’s not a bad thing. For me, it’s one of my favourites for casual afternoons when you don’t want to draw too much attention.

  • Minty citrus at first (like a mojito). Woody and citrus, slightly sweet after the first dry-down with a spicy touch and aromatic white woods, like walking through a grove of eucalyptus or freshly harvested lemon trees. In the final dry-down, dry fruity woods; the sweetness fades but leaves a sensation of dry apple or lemon wood. I consider it versatile, though in heat it might be heavy due to the pepper. It’s the most moderate Spicebomb, lacking the longevity and trail of its siblings, but it’s not bad. One of my favourites for casual afternoons without drawing too much attention.

  • Mr. Baskerville

More of the same. I also detect a clear inspiration from Azzaro Wanted, but with a suspicious whiff of Invictus; that said, it’s slightly spicier and lacks the signature grey amber of Rabbane (or at least not from the same supplier). The formula of the century squeezed until it’s utterly exhausted (utterly exhausted by some of us, as it seems to remain a hit): a stinging opening, in this case that citrus-tinted apple that quickly gives way to a generic sweet, white sugar scent, striving to stand out just enough on a base of synthetic spices refined in the very same laboratory where the sugar was processed. To give it body, tonka bean and wood are essential, collectively recreating the woody biscuit sensation found in so many current offerings. Is it bad? By no means, not within current standards; it’s ideal for nightclub nights and also for more intimate settings. The million-dollar question if you’re young (or a mature seducer): does it attract compliments? Absolutely, I’m an eyewitness to it with a regular user of the fragrance. Is it versatile? Yes, as it pairs well with almost everything except a timeless classic suit. Is it worth it? As another review states: ‘If you’re new to the world of fragrances, I recommend it; it’s a very versatile perfume.’

  • Mr. Baskerville

It’s more of the same. I also detect inspiration from Azzaro Wanted with a hint of Invictus; it has a bit more spice and lacks that typical ambergris found in Rabbane. It uses the century-old formula to exhaustion: a sharp citrus apple opening that quickly turns into a generic sweet white sugar accord with synthetic spices. Then comes tonka bean and wood, repeating that woody biscuit sensation. Is it bad? No, it’s ideal for clubs and intimate settings. Does it attract compliments? Yes, I’m a witness. Is it versatile? Yes, with almost everything except a classic suit. Is it worth it? If you’re new to fragrances, I recommend it; it’s very versatile.

  • Exquisite aroma. I bought it for that green, fruity, citrusy, slightly soapy opening. I’m a love-hate relationship with it because the longevity is poor. I sprayed it four times and had to get within ten centimetres to smell myself after an hour and a half. I feel ripped off; I just hope it gains projection once it matures.

  • SoldevillaESP

It’s a very fresh fragrance. Although it’s not ideal for extreme climates, it can be worn on almost any occasion.

  • SoldevillaESP

A very fresh fragrance. While not as good in very cold or hot climates, it can be worn on almost every occasion.

  • Azariel_Nox

Nothing develops on my skin; it fades away in five minutes. It smells of apple and is so fresh it doesn’t last even fifteen minutes. It must be my pH. I prefer Spicebomb Extreme instead.

  • Azariel_Nox

On my skin or with my pH, it evolves into nothing; after five minutes, it fades 🥺. I suppose it smells of apple, but it’s so fresh it doesn’t last me even fifteen minutes, although it’s likely due to my pH; I prefer Spicebomb Extreme instead.

  • Van der wiel

I don’t understand why people say it smells like Invictus, perhaps due to a tiny note, but it takes a different path: mentholated, apple and sweet. It’s a V&R perfect for daily office wear. It lasts and projects moderately, it’s undervalued and has nothing to do with the other V&R fragrances.

  • One of my favourite perfumes. A charming scent from the start. Certainly hated by many, but it lasts about six or seven hours on my skin and delivers. It is vibrant and fruity with the elegance of cardamom and the unmistakable sweetness of tonka bean. Super versatile, ideal for those living in hot places, usable almost all year round, and adapts to every situation. In conclusion, I recommend it but keep in mind other viewpoints and above all your own; if you have the chance to try it, don’t buy it blindly.

  • One of my favourites from day one. Many people hated it, but it lasts me six or seven hours and always gets compliments. It’s vibrant, fruity, with that elegance of cardamom mixed with the sweetness of tonka bean. It’s super versatile, perfect for hot weather and adaptable to any situation. I recommend it, but test it first before buying blindly.

  • It’s a classic formula of apple, cardamom and tonka bean. I wear it to the gym or for dog walks because it smells fresh and everyone loves it. As a toilet, it projects more than the EDT, though it doesn’t last as long. Worth the price, even if there are cheaper or more expensive options available.

I wanted to try the Green Granada and found it very fresh, spicy and fruity, but I still think this Night Vision is superior to all the Granadas.

  • Good evening, I bought this Spicebomb Night Vision for my small business but it didn’t sell, so I kept it. I know many call it the strangest in the line and they’re right: it smells like Invictus without the aquatic note, just spices. It’s not bad, it’s different. My skin wears it for three days and lasts about five hours with good projection after half an hour. It’s delicious and youthful, perfect for any season without a worry.
