Just arrived Nishane perfume. I already own Ombre Leather by Tom Ford and Aqua di Parma Leather 2014; these two are very similar, almost like a fusion of both. Tom Ford is sexier, Aqua di Parma is rougher, and Nishane sits right in between. I picked it up for €100 on sale to clear stock, but if I had to choose one, I’d go for quality and value—they are very close to Tom Ford. Hope this helps anyone undecided. Cheers.
Another delight from the Turkish house. I have it in a 2ml decant and from the first spray on my wrist I couldn’t lower my nose. I’m already accustomed to this type of aromas, I have several with similar DNA in my collection. A perfume that overflows with quality and elegance with good longevity and projection.
It smells very much like Ombre Leather, but I feel this one is more formal and sexy. That famous stable and saddle scent the suede gives can be too much for some; especially when it comes to receiving compliments, it can be difficult. However, it has class, as if it smelled of the finest saddle in the best stable of all. The ginger adds a fresh touch too. It’s elegant, definitely for a mature and serious man.
I start by saying I’m biased and a faithful follower of this house, so keep that in mind. For those who know TF’s Ombre Leather, PDM’s Godolphin, Nejma 1 or Rasasi’s La Yuqawam, this is more of the same. A point to consider: being from this brand, I imagined something oriental, spiced and exotic, but reality gave me a grand blow. Having said that, this highly crafted aroma isn’t as repulsive as Rasasi’s; it feels lighter, higher quality and more wearable. I just say that this type of scent isn’t among my favourites; of all I own, Godolphin remains my king. But respecting the creators, I know there are aromas that each person dislikes. For someone trying it for the first time without prejudice, I believe it’s one of the best alternatives. Mature perfume, formal, for intermediate seasons and unisex. Scent 4.5/10, trail 9/10, projection 9/10, longevity 8.5/10.
Another Tuscan Leather.
Smells very similar to Ombre Leather, but I feel this is more formal and sexy. That stable and saddle smell given by the suede might be too much for some; receiving compliments with it could be difficult. However, it has class, as if it were the best saddle in the best stable. The ginger gives it a fresh touch. It’s elegant, definitely for a mature and serious man.
The classic combo of leather and saffron, with the quality befitting the house and the perfumer.
Of all perfumes in this style, this is the one I like most and the one I keep in my collection. It feels the most refined, elegant, and high-quality; it smells of pure luxury and has stellar longevity. It’s curious how it acts opposite to Tuscan Leather: it opens up very dry and dries down with that wonderful smoked raspberry note, sometimes sweet. The bottle quality and spray are excellent, making the experience even more enjoyable. Miaorrakech.
Of all in this style, this is the one I’ve liked most and the one I keep in my collection. It seems the most refined, elegant and high quality; it smells like pure luxury with stellar performance. The curious thing is that it acts the opposite of Tuscan Leather: it comes out super dry and dry with that wonderful raspberry, sometimes sweet. Forget about the bottle and spray, which make you enjoy it even more. Miaorrakech.
At first, bought blind and cheap, it was a fiasco. I had 15 designer perfumes and this was my first niche; I atomised it and thought I’d made a mistake. A few months later, with 20 niches and 70 designers, I’m now amazed. It’s spectacular, smells like suede, and has incredible longevity and projection. It’s now in my top 3 and I think I’ve married it. Note, my nose is different: Ombre Leather smells like new boots and leather to me, while this Nishane one smells like almost raw suede. Totally different, but Nishane’s quality approaches that of Tom Ford. Of course, from here to Lima.
Reminds me hugely of Ganymede, although wearing them together they smell like two completely different things. It’s good, but I still prefer the Quentin Bisch version.
It reminds me a lot of Ganymede, although when I smell them together, they have nothing to do with each other. It’s good, but I stick with the one by Quentin Bisch.
Blind buy, but don’t do it: Tuscan Leather Extreme is a beast. I wore it after a shower on a winter’s day and the scent clung all day. Ideal for those over 30. If you’re fans of One Million, this isn’t for you. The quality is evident, though three sprays might be too much.
The good: the best inspiration of Tuscan Leather. The bad: yet another copy of that fragrance, adding to the thousands that already exist.
Pros: the best Tuscan Leather inspiration. Cons: another Tuscan Leather inspiration (one of the thousands).
Blind buy (do not do it): Tuscan Leather Extreme. I wore it one winter evening and the scent lingered even after my shower. If I had to specify an age, it’s for those over 30. If you come from the world of One Million, this isn’t for you. The quality is evident, though three sprays might be too much.
