Wulóng Chá by Nishane

This is pure luxury: a blend of tea, citrus, and oils that leaves you feeling bright, elegant, and relaxed. It’s like stepping into a luxury hotel spa. It lasts around 10-12 hours and projects to a metre. I’m happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

In short: it smells superb, like a five-star hotel, type Xcaret. I have the hotel spray and it smells exactly the same. A lovely aroma that brings peace.

Citrus-green taken to the superlative. The opening is sharp and strong; ideally, let it rest for a minute so the magic can emerge later. I adore it for the sensations: harmony, peace, and tranquility, an essence so calming it competes with diazepam. Ideal for summer, those days of intense heat where you don’t know what to wear. If you step out of the shower for a quiet afternoon, it’s perfect. It works in all settings: going out, a walk, the gym, chilling out. The dry down is slightly sweet, understated, just citrus, tea, and a hint of fig pulp that gives it a cosy twist. Wonderful.

Wulong Cha is citrusy, green, and spicy. Citrus and green opening with a pleasant, energising tea aroma. It’s very linear until you detect a musky accord. It reminded me a bit of John Varvatos Artisan Pure. Overall it’s rich, has body, and is well-made, suitable for spring and summer, office, outdoors, school, or casual outings. Longevity is very good, over 8 hours on me, with moderate trail that delivers olfactory bursts. I like these citrus and green fragrances because they put me in a good mood. The price is high in department stores, but if you can get it at wholesale price, it’s worth it if you like this style. Recommend trying before buying blind.

I bought a decant on offer; although the scent is lovely, I feel it doesn’t last at all, poor longevity and trail. For the price, it doesn’t perform. Perhaps I was sold a fake decant, as it has no longevity or trail, just sits close to the skin. If you pay a high price, it should stand out and make an impression.

I’m 19 and was looking for something solid for everyday wear—long-lasting and without weird embellishments? This is it. I bought it blind because niche samples don’t reach my door, but I don’t regret it a bit. It smells simple, not boring, and although it recalls Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea, the difference is abyssal: here the quality, evolution, and longevity (projecting for over 6 hours) are in another league. It’s totally unisex, nothing alpha-male or floral; it reminds me of cold Lipton tea dust and delivers on its promise. If you want to optimise your collection without throwing money away, this is your option.

It smells like tea shampoo and soap. Honestly, it seems overpriced no matter how you look at it.

Another great level for Nishane. The tea note is well nestled among the other ingredients, underscored by bergamot and musk, giving it a very pleasant and soapy character. As it develops on the skin, that soapyness emerges, transforming it into a captivating lemon tea soap. The sweet fig appears later but fades, leaving a fresh musky base that accompanies you for hours. A pleasant and well-constructed fragrance.

I bought it blind and expected something different. The fig is barely noticeable, but it is very fresh, almost minty at first (although mint isn’t listed), though that freshness fades quickly and turns into something that smells like catalogue lotion. It’s not ugly, but I wouldn’t buy it again because it’s not my style. It doesn’t seem unisex to me; rather, it’s masculine.

This is madness! For lovers of SMW or Safran Cologne, this will leave them speechless. It’s a citrus and fruity carnival. After a few minutes, it becomes a delight. A few hours later, when the brightness drops, the fig appears and it becomes an explosive scent at its start, finishing more spicy and sweet. I don’t think there will be more talk of this. It’s a champion unisex fragrance for hot climates, ideal for a terrace or a beach sunset. Potent, long-lasting, and sexy. Scent 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Projection 8.5/10, Longevity 8/10.

So green, so natural, and so well-made that you feel surrounded by a damp, wild field early in the morning. Bottled quality.

The best composition from the brand alongside Ani. Green tea freshness with a quality bergamot resting on soft, soapy musk. It invites calm. Wulong Cha shows that complexity isn’t needed to be extraordinary. Those who demand more performance don’t make sense to me; otherwise, it would become synthetic and alcoholic. Realistic citrus and green notes have low performance by nature; if you stretch them, they turn into alcohol bombs. Anyway, it lasts more than well and has a top-tier, super-natural bergamot. Jorge Lee’s work is admirable.

I love it and it was the reason I sold my AdP Fico di Amalfi. If you like Fico, try this: it’s the Fico version for the niche crowd, very similar but with three times the quality and longevity. Nishane never ceases to surprise me.

Nishane Wulong Cha is one of the underrated gems of the house, overshadowed by Ani or Hacivat. Let me give you a heads-up: it’s one of the freshest and most long-lasting fragrances I know. The opening is sharp, fruity, and citrusy; the fig with tea and citrus is crisp. The fruity part of lychee and berry is fleshy and photorealistic. The spicy touch gives it punch and keeps it robust until the musk dominates and closes it out. It’s a proper stunner: green, fresh, revitalising, sparkling, and complex. Perfect unisex for heat, with beastly performance and very versatile. It reminds me of The Time by THOO or Fico di Amalfi by AdP, but this one shines with its own light, has more nuances, and doesn’t envy their quality. Note: 9/10.

Strangely, the first thing I thought when I tried it was ‘this smells like cucumber and lemon tea’. I’m editing this because I recently realised it also has a pronounced fig note, something I noticed due to its similarity to Aqua Di Parma Fico di Amalfi, which features a distinct fig. I prefer ADP; it’s less green and more citrusy.
