  • It was my favourite perfume for years until they withdrew it. When this happened, and while trying to find it, I ended up getting a miniature, which sparked my hobby of collecting them. There are other perfumes I like, but none like Tentations; it was perfect on my skin, it was part of me. Edited: 5 out of 5.

A delicious perfume with great presence and longevity. It is very original in its scent; I could describe it as ambiguous, like a bitter sweetness, mysterious, enveloping, seductive, with spicy notes. It is extremely sexy and I insist: extraordinary. It does not resemble any other. It was my second great perfume, and I adored it. Now, unfortunately, like everything good, they discontinued it. What cruelty.

  • It happened to me exactly the same as with you, Mitsouko; I have spent years looking for remnants until the few that remain are now too expensive. Since then, I have not found a fragrance that fills me like this one. I have used Annayake Matsuri, which has a nice touch with a certain resemblance, now I am with Sì by Giorgio Armani, and even Versace Noir, but nothing pleases me as much as that one, and to be honest, I am still searching for a perfume I can adopt as my own. I am still looking! What have you found that you like as much as this?… I hope Paloma Picasso brings it back.

I’ve tried Annayake Matsuri, with a nice and similar touch, now I wear Sì by Giorgio Armani and even Versace Noir, but nothing pleases me as much as that one, and I’m still searching for my own fragrance. I’m still on the hunt! What have you found that you like so much? I hope Paloma Picasso brings it back.

  • If anyone knows a master perfumer or a fragrance house that could recreate this perfume, or if you know of one with a similar scent, please, I beg you, tell me. Thank you.

  • Tentations takes me back in time. I discovered it in 1998, just after leaving school. The first thing I noticed was the bottle, very characteristic of its creator, simple yet with artistic touches that made it stand out. Pre-dating Paloma Picasso, a global hit in the eighties and early nineties, Tentations was born in the shadow of that beautiful monster and passed the test with spirit, completely distinguishing itself from her style. I remember its trail: fruity-sweet, liqueur-like, with spicy woods, unlike anything else of the era. A beautiful perfume that is sorely missed… like those unforgettable old loves that, when they’re gone, leave your heart broken.

  • Tentations reminds me and takes me back in time. It was 1998 when I discovered it, shortly after its launch on the market. The first thing that caught my attention was its particular bottle, very characteristic of its creator’s style, simple but with the artistic touches necessary to make it stand out. Preceded by Paloma Picasso, a worldwide commercial success during the 80s and early 90s, Tentations had to be born in the enormous shadow of that beautiful monster, yet it was able to pass the test with spirit, completely distancing itself from its ‘sister’s’ style. I remember its trail: fruity-sweet, liquorish, with touches of spicy woods, which did not resemble anything else on the perfumery market at that time. A beautiful perfume that is missed… like those old and unforgettable loves that, once gone, always leave some broken heart behind.

I had forgotten I owned it. My mother gave it to me when I was a teenager, and to be honest, I did not like it much back then. Yesterday I found it in a box with old things, and astonishingly, the scent is exactly the same, although now I do like it. The smell reminds me of a chess match; I do not know why.

  • I looked up some information about this perfume today, which I did not know, and I was a bit puzzled by the comments that it has been taken off the market. I looked for this information because just today, 21 December 2016, I received it as a gift, so I am reading it seems I have received a treasure or what?

Tentations was an incredible work of art; I still don’t understand why they discontinued it. It had everything: beauty, mystery, elegance, and quality. I never tried it myself, but my flatmate wore it, and it hypnotised me from the bottle to the scent. I detected peach and florals with incense, aromatic cinnamon, woods, and spices; such opulence in one fragrance. It was beautiful to feel it; when she left the house, the aroma filled everything. So chic, so warm, its beauty is indescribable, its character very baroque like its artistic bottle. Tentations, please come back!

Tentations was a work of unimaginable beauty; I still cannot find an acceptable reason for its discontinuation. Tentations had everything: beauty, mystery, elegance, depth, originality, and quality. I never owned this perfume myself, but a flatmate did, and from its bottle to its scent, it hypnotised me. Tentations smelled of peach and blooming flowers, wrapped in incense, with a very aromatic cinnamon, woods, and spices—such opulence in a single perfume. It was beautiful to perceive; she would leave the house and her perfume would continue to invade the space. So chic, so warm. Its beauty is indescribable, its character very baroque, just like its artistic bottle. Tentations, please come back.

  • Tell me your sins and fall back into temptation! Tentations deserves far more recognition; it is a shame and an injustice that this perfume has been discontinued. Throughout the 90s, the peach note was crafted in so many different ways: we have Tresor (1990), Chloe Narcisse (1992), Gucci Acenti (1995), and Gucci Rush (1999). From the very beginning to the end of the decade, whether on its lighter fruity side, more oriental, herbal, or chypre, that sweet tinge seemed to drive the women of the 90s mad, who surrounded themselves with this note constantly. Exotic, lustful, narcotic, sensual—both its bottle and its scent. Paloma Picasso gives us a 90s luxury with this splendid fragrance. Tentations opens with an exotic, dark, resinous peach note; the carnation undoubtedly plays a supporting role, and as minutes pass, its more sensual side begins to emerge from within: a slightly spicy, aromatic cinnamon with a very stimulating tonka bean note. If that were not enough, to add more power to this Femme Fatale, a daring vodka note rises to the surface of the fragrance, intoxicating the senses and making them succumb to the final temptation. A soft incense reminiscent of the Middle East is also perceived. The combination of the Rose/Carnation accord seen in Paloma Picasso from the 80s comes back into play regarding the floral aspect. I cannot but completely recommend this fragrance, especially to those who adore narcotic, sensual, spicy florals. The first thing that comes to mind when smelling Tentations is the phrase: ‘They don’t make them like that anymore.’
