I tried it and honestly, it’s quite bad.
Well, well, well… love at first sight, it took me smelling it once and coming back the next day. Those who say it smells like JPG’s Scandal are mistaken; it’s sweet but has no resemblance. As a note, it lasts longer than the EDP. Ideal for fresh autumn/spring.
I don’t know if I’m the only one, but in the opening I sense a dry touch and a sort of ‘body’ smell (like armpit), as if it had cardamom. Once it dries down and the scent reaches me from a distance, it reminds me of Ariana Grande’s Cloud, due to the combination of lavender and sweet, synthetic accords.
Excellent perfume, made to be enjoyed in solitude. Curious fact: women absolutely adore it. The blend of mandarin and caramel is unusual, but it works and is hugely popular.
Top perfume, ideal for personal use. Curious fact: women love it. The mix of tangerine and caramel is rare, but the success is total.
Wordless, the best from AB in years. At first it didn’t convince me, but by the time the caramel dominates the florals, it becomes addictive. They feel they silenced the critics and achieved it. Lasts 6h on skin and more than 12h on clothes. The ‘The Icon’ EDT doesn’t even reach 2h.
It’s still too early for a very objective review as I haven’t used it enough. But I’ll give one piece of information for those living in countries where Arabic perfumes have to be bought blind because there’s no official distribution in pharmacies. As soon as I sprayed it and let it settle, I thought, wow, I heard this recently. It has a similar vibe to Armaf’s Club de Nuit Urban Elixir. So, for anyone wanting to know which direction this Armaf is heading and having nowhere to test it, look for the Icon Attitude which is everywhere. In the dry-down, it also reminds me of Club de Nuit Untold, perhaps due to the caramel/burnt sugar notes.
Well, it’s a youthful and decent fragrance from the perspective of my inexperienced fan nose. I feel it’s a trend-based scent, caramelised, sweet and green, yes, without being overwhelming or annoying. It’s one of those scents most people smell and like; ladies are attracted to it, but that’s about it; it’s like a ‘smells good…’ but that’s all. I don’t know if it intended to be a party scent (it seems so) or if it rather wanted to be a fresh spring and versatile green; from my perspective, it ends up in no man’s land. Lastly, perhaps it’s madness seeing that many people compare it to Scandal pour Homme EDT, but for me, it goes more along the vibe of 212 VIP Wins (the green one from 212 CH), that is, a sweet, green and spiced citrus… madness perhaps. To conclude, it’s not one of those scents I’d have in my collection.
It smells like a deodorant spray… honestly, it stands for nothing! The scent is very simple. The Icon EDT remains the best, alongside the EDP. The Icon Elixir is just an affordable Invictus. Attitude comes last in my top list for bringing nothing new to the market.
I absolutely love it. The opening is subtle, almost watery, without shouting, but once it dries down, the magic awakens: lavender with caramel and a suede-like woody base. It’s not a direct dupe, although the lavender reminds me of Prada Luna Rossa; here it’s sweeter and has its own character. It doesn’t smell generic; it has something special, even if it doesn’t stand out among thousands. It gives me a sense of calm and security; it’s so pleasant I want to wear it daily. Ideal for mild or cold days; spring and autumn are its kings. What a job by AB. Out of the entire The Icon line, this is my favourite; a delightful surprise.
I really like it. The opening, unlike most perfumes, is weak; it lacks elements that really catch the eye and even smells a bit watery. As it dries down, its magic begins to emerge, with lavender taking centre stage accompanied by caramel and a soft woody base that gives a suede-like texture. While it’s not a direct dupe of another perfume, I feel the lavender perceived here is quite similar to that in Prada’s Luna Rossa line, yet it’s used differently as it’s sweetened by various notes. I don’t feel it’s a generic perfume; it has something special, though I wouldn’t say it stands out among other fragrances. It conveys calm and security, it’s too pleasant and makes me want to wear it daily. A very nice aroma. I’d say its use is more for daytime and temperate climates tending towards cold, so spring and autumn are ideal seasons for wearing it. What a good perfume AB released. None of the other scents in the The Icon line pleased me as much as this one, honestly. A pleasant surprise.
To be honest, the first time I smelled it, it didn’t grab my attention much, so I let it pass, using it occasionally. Suddenly, I said, ‘let’s give it another chance,’ and to be honest, I loved it. I think that for a mid-range fragrance, it doesn’t smell synthetic at all; obviously, some parts are, but its evolution is beautiful. That distinct caramel scent gives it a plus, and that pear and tangerine combination is potentiated together with the pepper, giving a spicy kick to that dry down. A solid 8/10.
Attitude works very well for someone who is not as demanding as I am. The Icon Elixir also works very well, but Attitude has something that catches my attention more: that sweet part, and on the other hand, the acid and sweet tangerine. Good projection and fixation; not a monster, but worth it for the value. To my taste, I would ideally use it in spring, cool summer nights, autumn, and perhaps in winter for days that are not too cold. I see it as ideal for transition seasons.
This is the best from Antonio Banderas; standing ovation for this work of art. Incredible that for such a low price you can have such an amazing fragrance.
This perfume is among the best Antonio Banderas has to offer; standing ovation for such a wonderful, incredible work of art that one can own for so little.
The Icon Attitude… Well. I bought it because I saw it at a very accessible price in my country (it can be found in premium stores like Walgreens in the USA). Let’s get straight to it: it is a unique scent today, with the 2024 trend, but I have sensed it somewhere before; not in a mass-market or perfumer’s style… perhaps in a field, a lagoon, or a forest; I’m not sure, it simply evokes a memory. It has something particular: its sillage is different from the scent on the skin, and this is noticeable while smelling it. Smelling a particular scent, and when you press your nose to the skin, it is another. For me, it is rare, but that rarity makes it original and multifaceted; those around will notice it immediately. The scent? Yes, it has a small DNA of JPG Le Male, but for me, it leans more towards the Le Parfum version. Note: it is not a dupe or clone; it simply has a caramelised base with an amber sweetness that evokes the beautiful Haba Tonka from JPD LP. The opening is fresh and citrus, simply beautiful. Additionally, you can feel the lavender and geranium all the time, accompanied by a refined citrus from the start. For use, it is versatile, tending towards temperate climates, but it hardly matters as the scents are for those who like them. Blind buy? It depends… it is sweet, but not the known Arab sweetness; it has a fresh and elegant side. For me, a perfumer’s delight. If you like the JPG Scandal family, you will like this, and if you dislike the sweetness of Kamrha, this will suit you because it is not cloying. From the The Icon line, they all seem different with their own charm, but this one must be on the shelf. It is for going out and re-applying without fear, but it also serves for the day if you want to smell refined without clogging anyone’s nostrils. Decent longevity for the price, moderate projection, but it performs well. You might not need to re-apply and still smell good, or you might re-apply and stand out. Scent/8.9, Projection/7, Longevity/6, Price/9 (excellent for its scent and longevity).
To those who claim this AB is identical to Armaf’s CBNs, consider that Kamrha is not the same as Angel Share. This The Icon sets itself apart from its younger siblings. AB is going for the modern, youthful look that is mass-produced today. It opens with a sharp, acidic, orange citrus burst with a spicy nuance. As it dries, an intense, well-executed lavender emerges, providing freshness and softness alongside a slightly acidic caramel due to that citrus note. The dry down is lavender, caramel, musk, and orange. Perhaps that orange caramel reminds me of the first batch of Scandal EDT, but as I said, it could recall several perfumes like Scandal 212, Ch Phantom EDT, XS Night, and a bit of Invictus Parfum. They all share that modern caramelised sweetness, but that doesn’t make this a dupe of anything. This AB has its own identity, just like the ones mentioned. It is easy to like and complimenting, especially for the young. There is no fear in triggering it due to its price and accessibility. The only downside is its longevity of 5-6 hours, which is reached with 8 sprays.
To those who say it smells like JPG Scandal, please rush to an ENT specialist to have your sense of smell checked, as you are quite mistaken.
A great perfume for the value. The initial blast didn’t surprise me much, but the magic unfolded over time. It evolves exactly as described on Fragrantica; it is nothing like linear. On my skin, it lasts 7-8 hours, and you notice the notes more with each passing hour. It projects for about two hours before becoming more intimate, yet it still smells fantastic; I even received compliments at the five-hour mark when I thought it had faded. It is good, beautiful, and cheap. This is the best from the AB line.
Sweet citrus opening with mandarin, pear and lavender: fresh at first, sweet when it dries down, but without being cloying; it’s a gentle sweetness that makes you smell good all day. Then the caramel shines. It doesn’t seem like JPG Scandal, only recalling the mandarin, but it takes a different path; it’s a rich aroma. Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely; it must be in the collection.
Smells like 9PM but with a less sweet opening; it reminds me of Lattafa Ramz Silver, though the latter feels more synthetic. All three share the Ultramale DNA and dry down very similarly. In terms of longevity and projection, 9PM takes the crown. For the price, it’s a blind buy worth it.
I tried it in-store and the opening was unlike anything I’ve smelled before. As it dries, it approaches the Ch Men DNA with that freshness, but with orange instead of grapefruit and a floral touch. Interesting value: 100ml for $30 compared to $100 for the competition. It didn’t feel cheap at all and is sure to garner compliments. I consider it an original fragrance in that sense.
A sweet citrus opening of tangerine, pear, and lavender; fresh at first and sweet as it dries without being cloying, just soft and sticky all day. Then the caramel really shines through. It doesn’t resemble JPG’s Scandal, only the tangerine, but it takes a different path. A delicious scent. Would I recommend it? Definitely, it’s a piece that belongs in any collection.
This fragrance leaves no one indifferent. At first, you note citrus and pear, which lasts the whole time. There is a lot of lavender and geranium that give it a masculine touch, with a base of caramel and musk that makes it sweet. The downside is that some notes smell synthetic, but for the price, one cannot ask for more. It’s for winter and night, more for young men. It’s rich and original, but be careful not to overapply: the caramel, musk, lavender, and geranium can become tiring, especially for women who smell it more strongly.
Edited 5/11/25: It’s the child of 9PM and JPG Scandal. Acceptable performance and good value for the price. It smells similar to the previous ones but stands on its own thanks to its pear and mandarin. It’s very versatile. Winter cold absorbs it well, but in summer it can be invasive. It’s not for everything, but highly recommended for the quality-price-utility ratio.
I don’t like the scents of this perfume, even if I let it macerate; it convinced me in the bottle, but on my skin it smells like a weird sweetness. I feel it mixes several DNA of sweet perfumes, like Baccarat Rouge, but it’s not the same. If you’re looking for something potent and sweet, it’s yours; if you’re not used to it, better not buy it.
The scent doesn’t quite convince me, although I liked it at first. It doesn’t work on my skin; I sense an odd sweetness that isn’t for me. It reminds me a bit of ADN from sweet perfumes like Baccarat Rouge, but it’s not the same. It’s for people seeking something sweet and potent; if you’re not used to it, better to move on.
I’ve been wearing it for two months and it has surprised me for the better. On my skin, the citrus and caramel are very noticeable. It lasts about five or six hours with good projection. To me, it seems 80% identical to Azzaro TMW EDT Intense, but with a slightly stronger caramel. It’s an excellent alternative at a low price. I hope its performance improves significantly with time.
Super masculine and versatile fragrance, suitable for any age. The mix of lavender with a caramelised touch caught me by surprise, especially given the price. Every time I wore it, I was full of compliments. The longevity is moderate, but well acceptable for an Antonio Banderas fragrance. It’s said they no longer manufacture it, but it remains one of the best from the brand. Totally recommended if you can get your hands on it.
Super underrated fragrance. Sweet yet dark at the same time; the pear and mandarin are very noticeable with that caramelised touch, while the lavender adds freshness, making it more versatile and less youthful than JPG Scandal or Mandarin Sky. The longevity is more than good for the price, approx 6 hours.
Ufff! ❤️🔥 Out of the entire ICON collection, this is the one worth the most to me. It completely stole my attention, as it is, by far, superior to its “siblings”. It’s a fragrance that guarantees compliments and will please everyone; it’s sweet enough, but with fresh, clean notes that catch attention. Opening: Starts with a refreshing sensation thanks to the lavender and geranium, which last for a few minutes. Heart: Immediately, we feel the sweetness of a super juicy, ripe pear 🍐, which turns creamy thanks to an irresistible lactonic caramel. Shortly after, this duo is joined by a sweet mandarin 🍊 in the base, adding a citrusy point that enriches the fruity sensation. Drydown: The sandalwood is discreet, but that white wood alongside the musk gives it a touch of sophisticated, neat man. All this happens without losing the pear and caramel sweetness, which remain until the end. Given its profile, I place it in the same category as Mandarin Sky by Armaf or Scandal by JPG, sharing that fruity-caramel style, but with the distinctive pear 🍐 twist. On my skin, the longevity exceeds the average of 6 hours, though it doesn’t reach 10. I recommend it 100% for temperate and cold climates, day or night. You can wear it to the office as long as you don’t overdo the sprays, although its best performance will be for casual outings or dates.
What a delight to smell; that pear note is absolutely brilliant. I sold it because I’m not usually a fan of sweet perfumes and I’m regretting it a little, as whenever I put it on, I’d always choose another. As an experience, smelling it is delicious and not cloying at all; interesting, without a doubt. The longevity isn’t bad for an Antonio Banderas fragrance; the more sweet perfumes I smell, the more I value the one that left my collection.
It smells like nothing I’ve tried before. It’s sweet, but not like One Million; it’s more caramelised, like sugar in a pan about to burn. The Icon line is excellent value for money, although it lacks a bit of performance compared to Supreme and Elixir; for cold weather, it’s undoubtedly the best of the three. Scent 9/10 Price 8/10 Projection 7/10 Longevity 7/10
Wow, what a beautiful and exquisite fragrance. It has a sweetness that isn’t cloying, yet it’s very dark, nothing like typical gourmands; it leans more towards the style of 212 VIP Black and Scandal EDT. I’d describe it as a twist on Mandarin Sky, but with a darker gum note rather than mandarin. It smells 100% masculine, like sweat (in a good way), while retaining that sweetness. It reminds me a lot of 212 VIP Black, but without that absinthe-like note; I consider it superior because 212 no longer has the performance we seek. Combined, they enhance each other and highlight the best of both (I seriously recommend layering). Now, the drydown evokes a slightly unusual sweetness that doesn’t fully convince me, but on clothes, it’s a different story. I think letting it mature will improve it significantly; I see it perfectly for daily wear as long as it’s not too sunny. I’m not usually one to nitpick, but the bottle is the poorest quality I’ve seen; even fragrances from Avon or Esika have better presentation in terms of cap and material. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you like sweet scents, it’s excellent, not cloying unless you have a very refined nose or simply don’t like sweet fragrances. I’ll be wearing it as my signature; a resounding 9 out of 10.
