A fragrance with a powerful opening where pink pepper dominates the rest of the notes. After an hour, I perceive it at skin level, with sweet notes where vanilla stands out. Therefore, its scent is good, original, and ideal for use on a date. As for performance, it’s acceptable: it projects well during the first hour and then moves to skin level. Although I must say its longevity is very decent, as it can still be detected for 7 or 8 hours afterwards.
An AB perfume that, without expecting anything, surprised me too much. More, it will never be missing from my small collection again. A distinct, exquisite, addictive, sexy as hell, somewhat versatile scent suitable for almost any occasion at a very low cost. In summary, for me it smells like vanilla mixed with paprika; although clearly the paprika part is due to the pink pepper and possibly cardamom, the whole mixture gives a spicy, sparkling, peppered vanilla sensation. I recommend it totally: 10 out of 10. If you want something very low cost, different and sexy, buy it without thinking, but be careful, it’s not the typical aroma; if you don’t like it, give it a thousand chances.
I love it; it’s very economical but has a unique aroma: it smells of tobacco, wood, and spices. Women love it whenever they smell it. Among many others I own, this is in the top 3 of my collection. It’s already the second bottle I’ve bought and it doesn’t disappoint regarding its scent and longevity; with over-application, you can wear it all day. 9/10.
This was my favourite fragrance of 2017, that rich scent. I stopped using it for a few years, bought it back a few weeks ago, but I don’t know if it’s because where I live it’s summer now or what; I feel it doesn’t last at all compared to what I bought in 2017. Perhaps it has been reformulated. The scent is good but it doesn’t perform; it’s only suitable for short outings.
At first sniff, it’s very similar to Encre Noire À L’Extrême. If you like this type of fragrance and want a more affordable option to spray without worry, I highly recommend it.
It was my signature fragrance for a good while because, although I own many, whenever I ask women to choose their favourite, they’ve preferred it or it’s in their top 3. I don’t know if it smells like Red Tobacco by Mancera, but if it does, I want to buy that.
Probably the best quality-price perfume. The pink pepper and vanilla are very prominent with a distinctly masculine touch. Longevity is outstanding: it lasts 12 hours on skin and 4 days on clothes. The sillage is good and the price is a bargain: good, beautiful, and very cheap.
Does it really come to no one’s mind that Kokorico by JPG? I applied both on each forearm, and Kokorico stands out a little more, smelling of fig, but as it fades they become very similar. If anyone shares this impression, let me know.
I was looking for something budget-friendly for dates and, seeing YouTube highlights, I was swayed by reviews promising seduction. Is it seductive? Yes, but I recommend testing before buying; I bought blind and now I regret it. The scent isn’t bad, but it doesn’t fascinate me and I can’t see myself wearing it; perhaps it develops poorly on my skin. I should clarify that I have the worst skin possible and wear perfumes to the extreme, so keep that in mind. My impression: a very spicy opening and an odd dry-down. The sweetness only appears when the oil mixes with my sweat; otherwise, it remains very linear. The longevity is nothing special, a solid three hours; after that, you have to press your nose to smell it and it’s barely detectable. Projection and sillage are light. It feels excessively synthetic. If you’re a young man, it’s not for daily wear; it looks odd wearing it at 3 pm, so it’s definitely for night. In the case of over 25, it can be worn in the office. Scent: 6/10, Quality: 7, Longevity: 6, Projection: 6, Versatility: 4, Compliments: 6, Blind Buy: 2, General: 5. Age: +25, Season: autumn/winter. I don’t recommend it; there are better options.
In my opinion, it smells just as bad, if not worse, than cheap supermarket perfumes. It’s the worst of the Banderas +7s I know. A total disaster.
I bought it blindly due to recommendations and a coupon deal. Very good citrus opening with pepper; the vanilla stands out, which in my case lasted a comfortable 8 hours. The only thing I didn’t like is the absinthe, it adds a bitterness I don’t enjoy, though it’s not as strong as the rhubarb in the Kaiak Aero. It’s a matter of personal taste; I recommend trying it before buying.
The scent is strong; there’s a slightly unpleasant bitterness noticeable in the opening that persists until after the dry-down, accompanying the pepper, vanilla and spicy-woody notes.
Not a WOW, but it’s worth the cost and fulfils its function. I’ve even received compliments.
Very delicious aroma.
Uff, first: don’t buy blindly, the pepper feels strong and may not be to everyone’s taste. Second: it’s very potent, 3-4 sprays are enough. I own other scents from the brand where I usually use 5-7 and I was careless, and it was o.O. I’m a bartender; I walked into the kitchen and the chefs on the other side of the counter could smell me; someone commented ‘Who drenched themselves in perfume?’. Longevity is normal for its price, around 4-5 hours: 1-2 projecting and the rest in a personal bubble. I wear it for night outs, it’s coquettish.
I don’t have it now, only tried it. Not bad, it caught my attention. Soft and pleasant spicy identity. Worth considering.
Agreeing with those who said it reminds me of Kokorico JPG; both are good, but Kokorico is preferred by women. I’ve compared them and with this one I’ve never received compliments. I think it’s a matter of personal taste or very soft; perhaps only the wearer finds it heavy. Kokorico smells like chocolate with woods, this one like chocolate with strawberries. I lean towards Kokorico, but if it’s from AB, this is the one I like most.
Pleasant but not standout. I was gifted it due to the hype on the forums. I detect quite a bit of pink pepper. Poor longevity and sillage. I wear it for routines but only occasionally. For the price, there are better options in Cuba, Bogart or Natura. I won’t be getting it again.
A striking scent that I like and dislike at the same time, hard to explain. It has a tricky note on my nose that I can’t quite identify. I don’t wear it on my neck for daily use because of that, but sometimes I apply it to my arm to enjoy it in a more controlled way.
Quite aromatic, woody and vanilla-rich, with a subtle blend that makes it peculiar: spicy, sweet and spiced. The development between pepper, vanilla and oud gives it a medicinal, synthetic touch, but it’s ideal for sampling the note. Projection and longevity are excellent for a low-cost option; it’s worth it. From The Secret, it’s my favourite. Seductive, different and versatile, I wear it casually almost year-round. Very similar to 1 Million.
Secret Temptation is a super spicy fragrance at the start; you can feel the pepper, basil, and vanilla. It’s suitable for day and night, office and after, leaning towards cold weather. Note, I don’t feel it’s for daily use: although it’s low cost, it has quite good performance and can sometimes be overwhelming. I see it as perfect to combine with a leather jacket and go out on a motorcycle; it has something rebellious. It’s the best Antonio Banderas fragrance I’ve had so far, excellent quality. Would I buy it again? Yes, the quality/price ratio is unbeatable.
First of all: I recommend it, but it is a strong scent that perhaps isn’t for everyone. It is flirtatious, playful, and sexy with a certain spark. I’ve had it since 2017 and I’m already on the second bottle. I don’t recommend it for daily use; use it for a date or a night out. During the day too, but better for special occasions. I’ve used it many times on those occasions and always received compliments (my experience, of course, others may feel it differently). For the price, it’s a good purchase, but test it first: remember that 3-4 sprays are sufficient. Scent 8-10, trail 7-10, longevity 7.5-10 (it lasts quite a while for me).
Excellent fragrance. The aroma is simply exquisite, conquering and excessively rich. What’s the flaw? The longevity… it barely passes 4 hours with luck, but on clothes it has a brutal fixation. I have a leather jacket that I only wear with this perfume and I spray it so it always travels with me; it never leaves. It smells spicy and sweet, but not like bubblegum sweet, but something natural. Super recommended: if you get it on discount (like I did), it’s a cheap perfume to use until you’re exhausted. I always keep a decant and reapply every 2 hours on the street, and I smell that delicious opening all day.
It smells very similar to PDM’s Layton and is 10 times cheaper. A top alternative, honestly. This has been one of the cheap perfumes that surprised me the most; it seems odd that it doesn’t have more hype.
What a rich fragrance! Its opening is sweet, spicy, woody, and spiced. It starts strong and delicious, although the intensity drops, the sweetness remains. Sincerely, it doesn’t last very long, but I recommend it heaps for the office. Edit: What a rich scent! I don’t understand why it doesn’t have more hype; I absolutely love it. I am a lover of modern sweet fragrances, and this has impressed me with its performance; it’s cheap and smells like a serious, modern man. Longevity is around 4-5 hours, so don’t apply much on cool nights.
It is very rewarding to know that there are still proposals that take risks and offer experiences that deviate from the common at a fairly reasonable price. This The Secret Temptation does so with considerable class. The scent description is well explained in the previous reviews, where I agree with the strong and spicy opening, the green and floral development, and a sweet, intensely masculine woody base. The whole is a playful yet not silly aroma, seductive without falling into vulgarity, attractive without inciting gluttony, and quite adult in terms of character, not necessarily age. It projects little from the mid-phase and stays on the skin for a few hours, but the quality/price ratio is excellent. I think it is very advisable to try it several times on the skin, as it has that acquired taste characteristic of spiced fragrances that mutate into sweet/woody. It’s not the same quality, but something similar happens with Xeryus Rouge, which becomes more pleasant and enjoyable with use (note that they don’t smell the same). I like the division of fragrances by Puig, which is by Antonio Banderas, more and more. I’m not talking about all their proposals, but their philosophy: products that, without being excessively groundbreaking, offer quality that surpasses the price, and without all being tremendously original, they don’t bet on repeating themselves. Highly advisable, certainly.
From Argentina. The rewarding part is knowing this scent takes a different path. The opening is strong and tends to calm down quickly towards something more woody. It can be very intense at first (perhaps too much), but later, when it settles, that background note remains so addictive and distinct that it leaves you speechless. The longevity is quite good for an Antonio Banderas creation; I think it’s one of the jewels in the line. Very rich, suitable for any occasion, whether well-dressed, going out, or staying at home or at university. Recommended.
I absolutely adore this fragrance: it starts fresh and herbal with a touch of red fruits, and over time it becomes vanilla-like, resembling its sisters ‘The Golden Secret’ and ‘The Secret’, but in my opinion, it smells quite original.
This was my favourite scent for years, an incredible aroma I didn’t truly appreciate until I delved into the world of fragrances. It opens with red fruits and a floral base, with a touch of soft, pleasant pepper, nothing as spicy as Wanted by Night. The dry-down is wonderful, sweet and woody, reminding me of the sweetness of apples with caramel, yet with herbal spices it feels very masculine and exquisite. It makes you want to bring the scent to your nose every chance you get. It seems odd that no one compares it to Polo Red; on my skin, they have a similar evolution, although Secret Temptation is more complex, deeper, and has more development. An incredible perfume; for this price, I haven’t tried anything so different and charming (excluding Arabes), so I recommend it 100%. I don’t think anyone will dislike it. Ideal for spring, though I used it in hot summers and still received compliments. Scent: 10/10, lasts 6 hours on my skin, trail 5/10, doesn’t fill rooms but creates charm on warm nights. Versatility 5/10, I used to wear it daily, now it’s for dates or intimate moments. Age: between 16 and 30, beyond that it seems very youthful due to that sweet apple note.
Is 2024 worth it for this perfume?
I bought the 30 ml version and initially the opening is chaotic; the pepper, bergamot and cardamomo are very noticeable, a bit disordered. But it lasts barely a minute and then the cardamom, vanilla and woods emerge, making it rich, with a fresh touch of bergamot. It’s a rich fragrance, nothing extraordinary, but informal and very good for playful young dates. I see it for people aged 16 to 30. It lasts about 5-6 hours and projects at 2. For the price it’s good and it improves greatly over time, becoming sexy.
I didn’t like it at all. It’s as if you haven’t put on any perfume: it doesn’t last, doesn’t project and, in my opinion, isn’t worth it.
I discovered it by chance at my father’s house, who wears bold ‘colognes’. I put it on and it was a surprise: it smells incredible. Spicy, aromatic, mysterious and captivating opening. That said, it doesn’t last at all.
It was my father’s perfume when I was a boy. I like it and it evokes that era; sometimes he wore it to go out for that vanilla sweetness and its pink pepper. It’s not youthful, better for dinners or special events. The downside is the reformulations: nowadays it lasts a maximum of three hours, what a pity. Would I recommend it? No. There are better options in the brand, such as the ‘The Icon’ line, more versatile for all ages.
Rich scent for everyday wear. To my nose, it has notes of red fruits, sweet but without being cloying or annoying, ideal for any weather except extreme heat; on a mild summer afternoon it scores a 10. It doesn’t last long, but for the price it’s worth reapplying.
Hidden gem from the brand. Little is said about it, but it’s incredible: very spicy, woody and vanilla-like, something unusual but that I adore. The projection and trail are brutal for the first two hours, then they fade, but it remains very noticeable. If you like complex fragrances, take it into account.
Dry, spicy, aromatic, with woods and vanilla… It sounds odd and, to be honest, it doesn’t quite convince me.
When I was 13, I loved it and I remember it with great affection after so long without smelling it. A scent that holds a piece of my childhood.
I have the 2017 batch and it’s a beast for the price: it fills the room and easily lasts 10 hours on skin. The problem is I can’t see myself wearing it daily; the pepper note doesn’t convince me, so the bottle is still nearly full despite receiving compliments. It doesn’t seduce me.
I wear the EDT version and it has completely won me over. What hooks me most is that pink pepper note, but be warned: the trail is moderate, almost intimate, and the projection is minimal; you notice it, but others barely smell it. Thanks for trying it.
