  • In no time it becomes my favourite for very cold days. It opens quite boozy; initially it clashes, as if someone has splashed you with a Cuba Libre. It lasts a couple of minutes before a pleasant tobacco emerges, blending with vanilla, cacao, a subtle leather, and a smoky, dark touch. It doesn’t list smoky notes, but I sense them and others do too. It has reminiscences of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, but comparing them, they aren’t alike: in TF the vanilla stands out more. This is darker and more intoxicating, with more tobacco and cacao. Personally, I don’t like Tobacco Vanille, so if you don’t either, give it a try. For those who like tobacco/vanilla combos or perfumes like Angel’s Share or Tobacolor, this is a must. Suitable only for cold weather. Atomic projection for the first hour, then it decays to arm’s length and stays there for hours. I tested it before bed and upon waking, after breakfast, it was still detectable in the room. I see it as unisex, but I think it suits men more than women. If you like ‘Boozy’ perfumes, tobacco/vanilla combos, or types like Angel’s Share, you are obliged to try it.

  • Definitely not for me. Ultra-sweet, with a very aged alcohol and burnt tobacco. I got dizzy and had to walk away from the sample immediately. DO NOT buy blind. Test it first.

  • It opens masterfully: dry tobacco, nuts, and a hint of rum, slightly sweet. An autumnal delight, unisex, seductive, and evocative. The problem is it fades quickly; by an hour it’s very skin-close. As it dries, it loses the nut note that captivates at the start, settling into a very faint, comfortable sweet tobacco. For the price, there are sweet tobacco fragrances a hundred times better.

  • On my skin, the smoky touch is very noticeable and the sweetness quite subdued. It reminds me of a remix between Chergui, Ambre Sultan, and rum. The vanilla is spicy, the kind that makes you cough if it lingers in the throat. I think the name does it a disservice; it’s a fine aroma. Performance after 3-4 days is correct. It’s a personal bubble fragrance with high persistence. Try before you buy.

  • Personal opinion: the liquor opening is complex, but the dry-down reveals a spectacular, velvety base of rum, cacao, tobacco, and amber. Today is my favourite; it doesn’t cloy and I want to wear it all day. Fabulous, lasting a full day with just one spray.

  • Not bad, but I have better options in this line. It’s certainly a challenging scent. Very well crafted: an intoxicating, alcoholic opening with tobacco… hard, dark, and not for everyone. As it dries down, it mellows and sweetens, becoming ambered, vanillaised, and spiced, though the dry, sour tobacco remains ever-present. Good longevity and sillage; it comes close to a beast.

  • It’s a perfumery masterpiece. The opening is powerful and slightly acidic, I believe due to the tobacco and nuts. Then the cocoa and liquor unfold, with every component feeling perfectly balanced. Ideal for super elegant gentlemen.

  • A perfumery jewel. It opens powerful with an acidic touch, anchored by tobacco and nuts. Then the cacao and liquor explode, with every note feeling perfect. Ideal for super-elegant gentlemen.
