Although it does not contain myrrh, it smells similar. The mandarin explodes at the start and attenuates after an hour, leaving a benzoin with citrusy rebounds. It is better than Armani’s Myrrhe Imperiale regarding its trail and longevity, especially considering they have almost identical prices.
Although it does not list myrrh, it smells like something similar. The mandarin dominates at the start and fades after an hour, giving way to a benzoin with citrusy nuances. It reminds me of Myrrhe Imperiale by Armani, but this one wins on trail and longevity. And watch out, they cost almost the same.
It is an aroma that gives you peace. At first, the benzoin goes with raw tobacco and soft neroli; then it changes to something resinous and musky with a vanilla-ambered touch that the mandarin (perhaps with its leaves) balances perfectly. It sticks to the skin, delicious, soft, and creamy, without bothering but very present. A marvel that accompanies you all day.
This scent gives you immediate well-being. Benzoin dominates the opening alongside raw tobacco and soft nard; it then moves into a resinous, musky phase with a vanilla-amber sweetness that the mandarin (with its leaves) balances perfectly. It clings to the skin, delicious, soft, creamy, non-invasive yet very present. A wonder that accompanies you all day.
Decas in autumn and winter projects little, it smells like old favourites, such as 1 Million or L’Homme Ideal Extreme, but with superior quality that you only notice if you stand very close. I give it 7/10.
A curious perfume from this great house. At first, it smells strange, like a grandmother’s wardrobe: incense, floral, English cologne, and powder. Then it stabilises, revealing candied mandarin, tobacco, and a resinous base with vanilla. A warm, resinous, musky, clean, and sensual sensation. After two hours, only a touch of orange, benzoin, resins, and non-sweet musk remains to add depth. Performance is good for three hours, dropping until it disappears after nine hours on my skin. I find it more masculine. I liked it very much; it is versatile (not for extreme heat), ideal for spring and autumn. I wear it to go to the office looking smart and I love it. Aroma: 9/10. Trail: 8.5/10. Projection: 8/10. Longevity: 8.5/10
I think the commenter below my review describes it very well; we have the same sensations. To me, it also smells like candied orange, submerged in syrup and adorned with a musk on the border between sexy and dirty, without actually being dirty or smelling bad. I believe the pH of each person plays an important role. I definitely see it as an aroma to ‘go to war’ and out of place for work or a stroll. I would wear it if I were single to go out for a night on the town and see what I can catch. Do not overapply or use it in summer because it can cause nausea and disgust due to its ‘syrupy’ and musky character. There is no need to show this perfume to everyone; let them come closer to smell it.
Ultra-elegant perfume, of Italian nobility, white floral, ambered and sweet when dry, with great class. It plays in the same league as Layton by Parfums de Marly or Naxos itself. It is for mature men who want to leave a mark without being overbearing. Projection, longevity, and trail are balanced. Try and let it dry before buying, while we approach our villa inspired by Palladio near the sea.
The keyword is: captivating. Absolutely. I confirm it fits the Jaïpur Parfum profile, though it shares notes with another line. Be aware, because Jaïpur is a legendary gem, but I believe Decas outshines it in its league: that of spring perfumes that make you happy just to inhale them. A genuine olfactory delight. Uniqueness ★★★★★ Longevity ★★★★☆ Sillage ★★★★★ Versatility ★★★★☆ Presentation ★★★★★ Value for money ★★★★★ Usage: Men, women and all styles. Ideal application: 4 sprays. In short: ‘Happiness in a spray’. Perfect for dates or spring/summer events. Alternative: Boucheron Jaïpur EDP. Blind buy? Total ★★★★★
The word is: captivating. Down here I read it fits the Jaïpur Parfum profile, and it is true. Although it is similar in another line. Let it be known that Jaïpur is a mythical jewel, but I believe Decas surpasses it in its league, the league of captivating spring perfumes. An absolute jewel, a pure delight for the olfactory senses. Those perfumes you inhale and make you happy. Aroma: maximum singularity. Top longevity and trail. Perfect versatility and presentation. Unbeatable quality/price ratio. Formality: office and party. Usage: day and night. Age: all. Unisex: yes. Atomisation: four sprays. In short: ‘Happiness in a spray’. Ideal occasion: date or spring-summer event. Alternative: Boucheron Jaïpur EDP. Blind buy? Yes, absolutely.
I’m not sure if it’s due to the fragrance maturing, but my perception differs from what I’ve read. I find it super masculine: the blend of resins and tobacco has a smoky texture, sweetened by opopanax and cleansed by the floral notes. I define it as: Masculine. Upon testing it, people told me it smelled like ‘man’. It is mysterious and complex; it doesn’t announce or define itself but generates curiosity. Clean, versatile and unique. Smells expensive. 9/10 Longevity spectacular. 9/10 I recommend it 100%, it’s my next purchase without a doubt.
I’m not sure if it’s due to the maturation, but my experience differs from what I read elsewhere. To me, it smells super masculine, with resins and tobacco giving a smoky texture, sweetened by opoponax and cleansed by floral notes. How I define it: ‘man’. During the trial, they told me it had an ‘odor of man’. Mysterious, not fully understood, complex, not shouting, not announcing itself. It generates curiosity. Clean, versatile, unique, smells expensive. 9/10. Spectacular longevity. I recommend it 100%, it is my next purchase without a doubt.
I’m not quite sure how to define Decas, but it’s clear it belongs to the Italian Xerjoff line. The opening smells like chamomile or blue Sugus. As it dries down, it leaves a creamy nard, slightly resinous and sweet. I see it as suitable for when you’re well-dressed, yet it conveys calm and a desire to stop everything to appreciate it. Scent: 8.5/10.
Words fail when it comes to Decas. It is clearly from the Xerjoff Italia family. Upon spraying, it smells like chamomile or those blue sugars, yes, the blue ones. Then it dries down to a super creamy neroli, slightly resinous and sweet. It suits a suit perfectly, but it gives me peace, a desire to stop everything and just enjoy it. Rating: 8.5/10
