What an interesting fragrance, true to the standard of this brand and perfumer. It opens very fruity with a prominent strawberry note, quite plasticky and synthetic, more like syrup than real fruit; there’s also a watery fruity touch from melon and a hint of intense spice from bay leaf. As it dries down, the fruity aspect softens to reveal a green, woody, and creamy heart featuring vetiver and moss, accompanied by discrete yet perceptible floral neroli. This blend makes it original and distinct. It has sweetness, but it’s not a sweet or gourmand scent, as the green and woody notes break up the fruity effect. It reminds me of Cape Heartache by Imaginary Authors due to that strawberry-and-green combination, although here everything is better blended without that sensation of wearing two different fragrances at once. The base recalls Karagoz by Nishane, less intense and dark, yet retaining that creamy green vetiver character, swapping pineapple for strawberry. Performance is excellent, typical of O’Driu: guaranteed intensity and longevity. It lasts many hours with moderate but always perceptible projection. It’s totally unisex and wearable during the day. I see it for both summer and winter, though ideal in moderate temperatures. It could work in the evening, but I view it more as a daytime scent, perhaps not for every day. Scent: 8.5. Longevity: 9. Projection: 7. Value for money: 7. Versatility: 8. Originality: 9. Overall: 9.
