I got through several bottles of this fragrance. It’s wood, I could even say there are leather notes. It’s that dry, resinous wood (not old, not freshly cut) that makes you think of firewood, mountains, fields. Paired with a leather jacket, it makes a clear statement about who is the man in the room. Nothing sweet, no chewing gum, zero flowers and fruity notes in this fragrance, I wouldn’t recommend it to children or young lads, even people with very refined tastes might find it shocking. This is for the office man who wants to project what he likes to do outside of it, horse riding or riding a cruiser motorbike, walking in the mountains, practising martial arts, sharing a glass of whisky with friends, smoking a good cigar. I wore it as my signature fragrance, for as long as I could get hold of it. And never thinking about compliments or whether anyone else would like it or not, but certainly friends asked me about it and female friends paid me compliments. In my particular case, it had very good longevity and excellent sillage, without ever becoming heavy. I haven’t found anything similar. Nothing that gives me that feeling, except the times I’ve worn Black Revel Rider (even though the notes are different). I think there should be more scents like this. (They do exist but at prices prohibitive for us ordinary mortals haha). In the end, everything described is subjective, it’s up to each person to smell, try, and criticise (in a healthy way). Cheers.
I bought several bottles of this fragrance. It’s woody, and I’d even say there are leather notes. It’s that dry, resinous wood—not old, not freshly cut—that makes you think of firewood, mountains, and open fields. Paired with a leather jacket, it clearly signals who the man in the room is. No sweets, no gum, zero flowers or fruits; I wouldn’t recommend it to children or young men, and even those with refined tastes might find it shocking. This is for the office man who wants to project what he enjoys doing outside work: horse riding or cruising on a motorcycle, hiking in the mountains, practising martial arts, sharing a dram of whisky with friends, or smoking a fine cigar. I wore it as my signature scent every time I could get my hands on it. I never thought about compliments or whether others would like it, but my friends asked and my girlfriends offered praise. For me, it had excellent longevity and a great sillage without being overpowering. I haven’t found anything similar, except when I’ve used Black Rebel Rider (despite the different notes). I believe there should be more scents like this. (There are, but at prices prohibitive for ordinary mortals, haha). Ultimately, everything described is subjective; it’s a matter of each person smelling, trying, and reviewing (in a healthy way). Best regards.
