Testing a vial, I found a scent that transports you back to adolescence when you crushed and ate violet sweets. To my nose, it’s fresh violet and real heliotrope, alongside a delicate but present benzoin and a subtle musk. At first, it smells creamy, almond-y and sweet, but after 20 minutes, once the skin has absorbed it, those flowers emerge in perfect harmony with the benzoin and musk. The trail and projection are impactful, yes, with a capital I, despite being a tender and delicate aroma. It’s very potent, lasts over 10 hours and even with just one drop, its exquisite quality is constantly noticeable. Highly recommended for any time of year.
When I smelled this fragrance, the first thing that came to mind was Volupte EDT by Oscar de la Renta, which is much more economical and projects far better. Florentina is more delicate, but given the cost, I’d stick with Volupte.
On smelling it, the first thing that came to mind was Volupte EDT by Oscar de la Renta, which is much cheaper and projects better. Florentina is more delicate, but for the price, I’d stick with Volupte.
I absolutely loved it. It’s a blend of iris, heliotrope, almond and violet, super powdery with a spicy touch. The almond, which I usually can’t stand, shines at the beginning but settles into something soft, creamy and with a bitter base. It reminds me of Guerlain, like Après l’Ondée, though Florentina is less retro. Its violet is natural and subtle, very well crafted. Be warned, as Mora says: it has great presence and longevity despite how delicate it is; to me, it projects very little. I wore it six hours ago and I’m still wrapped in it. It’s romantic, discreet, serene, ideal for daydreaming, a porcelain doll fragrance, clean, charming, poetic and with a nostalgic air.
I really liked it. It’s an iris, heliotrope, almond and violet fragrance, very powdery with a slight spicy note. The almond, which I generally don’t like, has quite a presence at the start, but here it’s soft, creamy and shows its bitter side too. It recalls the style of Guerlain, especially Après l’Ondée, though Florentina is less vintage. Florentina’s violet is natural and subtle, well achieved. Attention, as Mora says, this perfume has great presence and longevity despite its delicacy and, in my opinion, poor projection. I wore it six hours ago and I’m still wrapped in it. It’s romantic, discreet, serene, perfect for daydreaming, a porcelain doll fragrance, clean, charming, poetic and a little nostalgic.
