Smeraldo by Sylvaine Delacourte is an olfactive fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2016, its creation is signed by perfumer Irene Farmachidi. The opening features angelica, yuzu, pear, and vetiver, leading into a heart of hawthorn flower, lentisc resin, and pine needles, closing with a base of lime, rose, and cedar.

Arrived with trepidation after reading harsh reviews, but the truth is it’s not that bad. What doesn’t convince me is that the notes don’t capture it well, except perhaps the vegetal touch of lentisk and angelica… and the rose, which smells more like jam, very sweet. It reminds me of certain olfactory chords used quite a lot out there, but I can’t quite identify them. It’s not my style, off to something else, butterfly hehe.
