I would love to like this fragrance, but it has one small yet major flaw: the blackcurrant. In this scent, they are pushed to their absolute limit. I know of no other perfume with such an exaggerated and piercing blackcurrant note. It is far from subtle. The opening is extremely intense and overwhelming. On top of that, the aldehydes do nothing to help things settle down. The result is that the first hour is simply too much. The blackcurrant scent takes over your olfactory senses to the point of causing headaches, and even dizziness if you over-spray. The person wearing it won’t mind at all, as the fragrance is lovely and leaves a delightful trail in the air, but the wearer will have to endure it hour after hour until things calm down and the blackcurrant yields to the floral and woody notes. I like it and dislike it at the same time. I own it and will keep it for occasional use, but I will be very careful with the number of sprays and may even layer it with other scents, as that nuclear blackcurrant needs to be tamed somehow.
